Detailed Description
The method for controlling network congestion provided by the embodiment of the invention can be particularly applied to data transmission between an operator network and a plurality of terminal devices. The method for controlling network congestion provided in this embodiment may be specifically implemented by a policy controller, a traffic analysis device, and a terminal management system in an operator network, where the policy controller and the traffic analysis device may be integrated on a core network or may be separately and independently configured, the terminal management system is configured on a terminal management platform, and the policy controller, the traffic analysis device, and the terminal management system may be implemented in a software and/or hardware manner. The following describes the method for controlling network congestion according to this embodiment in detail, taking a communication system as WCDMA as an example.
Fig. 1 is a flowchart illustrating a method for controlling network congestion according to a first embodiment of the present invention. As shown in fig. 1, the method for controlling network congestion provided in this embodiment specifically includes the following steps:
step 101, receiving network quality information sent by core network equipment and current ongoing service information of terminal equipment;
in this step, the traffic analysis device receives information sent by a Serving GateWay (SGW) of a core network device, where the information includes network quality information and service information currently being performed by a terminal device, where the network quality information may be information of network port utilization rate or information of network bandwidth utilization rate, the terminal device is a terminal device that has been accessed to the core network device and is performing data transmission with the core network device, and the number of the terminal devices is specifically multiple, that is, the information received by the traffic analysis device may include service information that a plurality of terminal devices are performing data transmission with the core network.
Step 102, determining a current network state according to the network quality information, and determining type information of a current ongoing service of the terminal equipment and corresponding flow information according to the service information;
in this step, the traffic analysis device analyzes the network quality information, and specifically determines whether the network state is network congestion or network normality by analyzing the information of the network port utilization rate or the information of the network bandwidth utilization rate. The traffic analysis device also performs deep analysis on the ongoing service information of each terminal device, and determines the service type of the data in which the terminal device is operating and the traffic information of the service in which the terminal device is operating, for example, the service types may be roughly divided into an operator service and a non-operator service, and may also be subdivided into a BT download service or a "permanent online" service QQ, etc., in this embodiment, the classification of the service types is not limited, and a person skilled in the art may classify the service types according to actual situations. The traffic information is a bandwidth value actually occupied by the service running at the terminal device or a data amount of data to be transmitted, wherein each terminal device can perform multiple service types simultaneously. For example, n terminal devices have access to a core network device, where n is a positive integer i =1,2,3 … … n, where m services are running on the ith terminal device, and m is a positive integer k =1,2,3 … … m, and it can be determined that the service type of the kth service currently running on the ith terminal device is BT download and the bandwidth value actually occupied by the running BT download service or the data amount of data to be transmitted by analyzing the kth service information running on the ith terminal device.
Step 103, determining whether the terminal equipment has a signaling storm risk or not according to the type information and/or the corresponding flow information;
the main execution body of this step is a terminal management system, and the service type with the signaling storm risk may be a service type that is online for a long time and sends information to the server every few seconds or minutes to maintain the online state, such as instant messaging services like QQ, MSN, etc., or a service that needs to occupy more bandwidth for data transmission, such as BT download, where the service type is not limited, and the terminal management system may determine that the terminal device currently performing these service types has the signaling storm risk according to the service type. Or comparing the data traffic of the data transmission of the service with a first preset value, and determining that the terminal device performing the service has a signaling storm risk when the data traffic of the data transmission of the service is greater than the first preset value, where the first preset value may be an experience value of a relevant technician. The terminal device that has the data volume sum of the data transmission of the service that may have the signaling storm risk greater than the second preset value may also be determined as having the signaling storm risk, where the first preset value and the second preset value may be different, and this embodiment does not limit the method for determining whether the signaling storm risk exists according to the traffic information.
And step 104, if the current network state is a non-congestion state and the terminal equipment has a signaling storm risk, performing degradation processing on the terminal equipment or the currently ongoing service of the terminal equipment, which has the signaling storm risk.
The main execution body of the step is a terminal management system, and the existence of the signaling storm risk means the risk of network congestion possibly generated, that is, the quality of network transmission data is obviously reduced, such as the delay of a data packet is increased, the discarding probability of the data packet is increased, and the like. The non-congestion state may be a good network state, or a state close to congestion but not yet congested, and those skilled in the art can determine a situation requiring degradation processing according to actual situations, for example, the non-congestion state may be a good network state, or the terminal management system compares the quality information of the network with a preset threshold value, and determines that the network state smaller than the preset threshold value is a non-congestion state, and if the quality information of the network is larger than the threshold value, the terminal or terminal equipment with the risk of the signaling storm is subjected to degradation processing on the current ongoing service which may cause the risk of the signaling storm, the degradation process may be to limit or shut down the traffic that may cause the signaling storm risk, which is currently performed by the terminal or the terminal device at risk of the signaling storm, where the degradation process is not limited.
In this embodiment, a terminal device with a signaling storm risk is determined according to a service type running on a terminal device that has access to a core network and traffic information corresponding to the service, and when a network does not reach congestion, a terminal management system performs degradation processing on the terminal device or a service currently running on the terminal device with the signaling storm risk, so that network congestion can be effectively prevented, and the investment cost of an operator for preventing network congestion is reduced.
In step 104 of the foregoing embodiment, performing degradation processing on the terminal device or the service currently being performed by the terminal device and having a signaling storm risk includes:
and sending priority processing information to the strategy controller so that the strategy controller performs degradation processing on the terminal equipment with the signaling storm risk or the service with the signaling storm risk currently performed by the terminal equipment.
For example, the policy controller may perform degradation processing on the terminal device determined that there is a risk of the signaling storm, for example, perform degradation processing on the terminal device running the instant messaging service or the instant messaging service running on the terminal device to allocate a lower resource to the terminal device or reduce the access rate of the terminal device, or allocate a lower resource to the instant messaging service or reduce the access rate of the instant messaging service.
Optionally, before sending the priority processing information to the policy controller, the method further includes:
sequencing the currently-performed service with signaling storm risk of the terminal equipment according to the flow information to obtain service sequencing information;
sending priority processing information to a policy controller to enable the policy controller to perform degradation processing on a service which is currently performed by a terminal device and has a signaling storm risk, wherein the degradation processing comprises the following steps:
and sending priority processing information containing the service sequencing information with the signaling storm risk to the strategy controller, so that the strategy controller performs degradation processing on the currently performed service with the signaling storm risk of the terminal equipment according to the service sequencing information.
Specifically, in this step, the traffic information of the service with the signaling storm risk may be sorted according to the size of the data traffic in the traffic information of the service with the signaling storm risk currently performed by the terminal device in a descending order, or sorted by methods such as weighted sorting, and any sorting manner that may occur to those skilled in the art may be used. For example, the terminal management system sends, to the policy controller, priority processing information determined according to traffic information in which a signaling storm risk exists, and then the policy controller may perform degradation processing on the services running on the terminal device one by one according to the priority order, specifically, may perform degradation processing on the services running on the terminal device of a part of the services ranked first in the priority order of the services in which the signaling storm risk exists, or may perform degradation processing on the services on all the terminal devices corresponding to the services in the ranking in which the signaling storm risk exists, and may perform degradation processing to different degrees on the services running on the terminal device according to the ranking order, that is, the more top ranked services have lower levels of degradation.
Step 103 may specifically include:
if the flow information corresponding to the at least one type information exceeds a first preset threshold value, determining that the terminal equipment has a signaling storm risk; and/or the presence of a gas in the gas,
and if the sum of the flow information corresponding to each type of information exceeds a second preset threshold value, determining that the terminal equipment has a signaling storm risk.
Specifically, the terminal management system determines whether the terminal equipment has a signaling storm risk according to the service type information and the corresponding flow information of the terminal in operation, and has two implementation modes: 1. in n terminal devices connected with a core network, n is a positive integer i =1,2,3 … … n, if d services which may have a signaling storm exist are running in the ith terminal device, wherein d is a positive integer, and when the flow of data of at least one service in the d services exceeds a first preset threshold, it is determined that the ith terminal device has a signaling storm risk; 2. and if d services which possibly have signaling storm are operated in the ith terminal device and the sum of the data flow rates of the d services exceeds a second preset threshold value, determining that the ith terminal device has the signaling storm risk. The first preset threshold and the second preset threshold may be determined by a person skilled in the art according to an analysis of a business model.
Optionally, in step 104, before performing degradation processing on the traffic currently in progress by the terminal device and having the risk of signaling storm, the method further includes:
determining whether the type information contains the service type of the operator;
if yes, performing degradation processing on the service which is currently performed by the terminal equipment and has the signaling storm risk, wherein the degradation processing comprises the following steps:
and performing degradation processing on the current ongoing non-operator owned service with the signaling storm risk of the terminal equipment.
Specifically, when the current network state is a non-congestion state and the terminal device is running a service with a signaling storm risk, before the terminal management system sends the terminal device with the signaling storm risk or the current running service with the signaling storm risk of the terminal device to the policy controller for degradation, it is determined whether the service information includes the service type owned by the operator according to the information of the service type running by the terminal device. If the service type with the signaling storm risk operated by the terminal equipment contains the own service of the operator, the degradation processing can be carried out on the current ongoing non-operator own service of the terminal equipment, the data transmission flow of the non-operator own service with the signaling storm risk operated on the terminal equipment is limited, the specific implementation mode of the degradation processing is not limited, and the use of the own service in the operator network is ensured.
Optionally, if the current network state is a congestion state and the terminal device has a risk of a signaling storm, the method further includes:
closing at least one service which is currently carried out by the terminal equipment and has signaling storm risk; or,
and carrying out current limiting processing on at least one service which is currently carried out by the terminal equipment and has a signaling storm risk.
Specifically, when the network status is a congestion status, i.e. the network port utilization is greater than a preset value or the network bandwidth utilization is greater than another preset value, the terminal management system first obtains the service type information and/or the corresponding traffic information running on the terminal device immediately before the network congestion from the traffic analysis device, then, the terminal management system sends the information for closing the terminal equipment with signaling storm risk or limiting the current running service with signaling storm risk to the policy controller, and the policy controller sends the information to the general packet radio service SUPPORT NODE (SGSN) or the Gateway GPRS SUPPORT NODE (GGSN) of the core network to close the service or limit the current service, or can remind the terminal equipment to close the service.
Optionally, at least one service which is currently carried out by the terminal equipment and has a signaling storm risk is closed; or before performing the current limiting processing on at least one service which is currently performed by the terminal device and has a signaling storm risk, the method further includes:
determining whether the type information contains the service type of the operator;
if yes, closing at least one service which is currently carried out by the terminal equipment and has signaling storm risk; or, performing current limiting processing on at least one service which is currently performed by the terminal device and has a signaling storm risk, including:
closing at least one non-operator owned service which is currently carried out by the terminal equipment and has a signaling storm risk; or, performing current limiting processing on at least one non-operator own service which is currently performed by the terminal equipment and has a signaling storm risk.
Optionally, after step 104, the terminal management system sends a prompt message to the terminal device to prompt the terminal device that at least one ongoing service at risk of signaling storm is shut down or throttled.
Specifically, the terminal management system sends information of at least one service with a signaling storm, which needs to be closed or limited in current, running on the terminal device to the policy controller, the policy controller sends the information to the core network at the same time, and limits or closes at least one service with a signaling storm, which runs on the terminal device, through the core network, and meanwhile, the terminal management system can also send prompt information to the terminal device to inform the terminal management system of closing or limiting at least one service with a signaling storm risk, which is running on the terminal device.
In the process of preventing and processing congestion, the embodiment judges whether the service information with the signaling storm has the service owned by the operator, so that the congestion can be effectively prevented and processed.

step 201, the terminal device establishes data connection with the core network through the access network.
Step 202, the traffic analysis device receives the network quality information sent by the core network device and the current ongoing service information of the terminal device. Meanwhile, the traffic analysis device deeply analyzes the current ongoing service information of the terminal equipment and determines the service types, such as QQ, MSN, BT download and the like.
Step 203, the terminal management system receives the network state information sent by the traffic analysis device, the type information of the service currently performed by the terminal device, and the corresponding traffic information, wherein the terminal management system can determine whether the terminal device has a signaling storm risk according to the information sent by the traffic analysis device, and determine to perform degradation processing or service closing processing on the terminal device having the signaling storm risk according to the information that the network state is congested or the information that the network state is non-congested carried in the network state information.
And step 204, if the network state is a non-congestion state, the terminal management system sends information for degrading the service with the signaling storm risk or the terminal to the policy controller.
Step 205, the policy controller sends the service with the signaling storm risk or the information after the terminal performs the degradation processing to the terminal device through the core network.
Step 206, if the network state is the congestion state, the terminal management system sends information for closing the terminal equipment with the signaling storm risk or limiting the current of the service with the signaling storm risk currently running by the terminal equipment to the policy controller.
Step 207, the policy controller sends information to the core network to close the terminal equipment with the signaling storm risk or to limit the current of the service with the signaling storm risk currently running by the terminal equipment. Specifically, at least one service which is currently carried out by the terminal equipment and has a signaling storm risk is closed; or, performing current limiting processing on at least one service which is currently performed by the terminal equipment and has a signaling storm risk.
