Abstract

本发明实施例提供一种图像编码方法和装置,所述方法包括:确定待传输视频图像中内容发生变化的宏块;根据所述内容发生变化的宏块生成所述待传输视频图像的宏块编码矩阵;采用游程编码方式对所述宏块编码矩阵进行编码。通过本实施例的方法和装置,节省了编码时大量的重复工作,只针对图像变化的部分编码传输,不变的图像数据仍然沿用上一帧的,大大降低了编码和传输的数据量,从而达到了降低码率和延时的目的。
