Detailed Description
The invention provides a method for acquiring a paging area, an MTC server, MTC equipment and network equipment. In order to better understand the technical solution of the present invention, the following detailed description of the embodiments of the present invention is provided with reference to the accompanying drawings.
Referring to fig. 1, fig. 1 is a flowchart of a method for obtaining a paging area according to an embodiment of the present invention.
In the embodiment of the present invention, the MTC device may be deployed in a mobile communication network by an MTC service provider (MTC Subscriber), and a MTC Server (MTC Server) may manage the MTC device, and the MTC Server may use a Global Positioning System (GPS) technology to obtain a geographic location of the deployed MTC device. The method for obtaining the paging area provided by the first embodiment of the invention mainly comprises the following steps:
a1, receiving a geographical position reporting message of the MTC device sent by the MTC server, wherein the geographical position reporting message carries geographical position information of the MTC device and an identifier of the MTC device.
Specifically, a network device in the mobile communication network may receive a geographic location report message sent by the MTC server, where the report message carries geographic location information of the MTC device and an identifier of the MTC device. The network device may be an Operation Support System (OSS) or other devices.
The geographical location information of the MTC device may be a longitude and latitude of the MTC device, and the identifier of the MTC device may be an International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI) and/or an International Mobile Subscriber Identity (IMSI) of the MTC device.
In addition, the communication interface between the MTC server and the network device and the transmission format of the geographical location reporting message may be flexibly set by an operator.
And A2, acquiring network location information corresponding to the geographical location information according to the preset mapping between the geographical location area and the network location area.
Specifically, the network device may preset mapping between a geographical location area and a network location area according to a coverage area of the mobile communication network, and further obtain network location information corresponding to the geographical location information according to the mapping.
The network location information acquired by the network device includes a cell identifier of a cell where the MTC device is located. Since the MTC device may be located in an area where two or more cells overlap, the network location information includes two or more network locations, that is, may include multiple cell identifiers.
And A3, sending the identification of the MTC equipment and the network location information to a home location register or a home subscriber server.
Specifically, after obtaining the network location information corresponding to the address location information of the MTC device, the network device sends the network location information of the MTC device and the identifier of the MTC device to a home location register or a home subscriber server in the mobile communication network.
The network device may send the network location information and the identifier to the HLR or the HSS through an S6d interface, and transmit the network location information and the identifier using a Mobile Application Part (MAP) General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) location (update) message. The embodiment of the invention can enhance the MAP _ UPDATE _ GPRS _ LOCATION message and add parameters of CGI/ECGI List, RAI/TAI List, MTC IMSI List and MTCIMEISV List. The "CGI/ECGI List" parameter may store a global cell identity where the MTC device is located, the "RAI/TAI List" parameter may store a routing area identity and/or a tracking area identity where the MTC device is located, the "MTC IMSI List" parameter may store an IMSI of the MTC device, and the "MTCIMEISV List" parameter may store an IMEI of the MTC device.
In the embodiment of the invention, the network equipment acquires the network location information corresponding to the geographical location information of the MTC equipment according to the mapping between the preset geographical location area and the network location area, then the network location information and the identifier of the MTC equipment are sent to the home location register or the home subscriber server, and the home location register or the home subscriber server can acquire the paging area of the MTC equipment according to the received network location information. Compared with the prior art, the embodiment of the invention can enable the HLR or HSS to obtain the paging area of the low-mobility equipment, and then page the MTC equipment according to the paging area, thereby saving network signaling resources and improving the paging efficiency.
Further, if the operator of the mobile communication network reconfigures the network, the coverage area of the cell in the network changes, and the network device needs to obtain the network location information of the MTC device again at this time. The embodiment of the invention can further execute the following steps:
a4, receiving a network updating message, wherein the location updating message carries indication information for updating network location information.
Specifically, the mobile communication network may send a network update message to the network device, the network device may receive the network update message, where the network update message carries indication information for updating the network location information, and the network device then performs step a 5.
And A5, updating the mapping between the geographical location area and the network location area according to the indication information.
Specifically, the network device may update the mapping between the preset geographical location area and the network location area according to the indication information sent by the mobile communication network.
When the network device updates the mapping, the mapping of all the geographical location areas does not need to be updated, and only the mapping of the geographical location area with changed network coverage needs to be updated.
Furthermore, the mobile communication network may actively update the mapping between the geographical location area and the network location area after the cell coverage has changed, and then send the updated mapping between the geographical location area and the network location area to the network device.
And A6, obtaining the updated network location information corresponding to the geographical location information according to the mapping between the updated geographical location area and the network location area.
Specifically, the network device obtains updated network location information corresponding to the geographical location information of the MTC device according to the mapping between the updated geographical location area and the network location area.
And A7, sending the identification of the MTC equipment and the updated network location information to a home location register or a home subscriber server.
Specifically, after obtaining the network location information corresponding to the address location information of the MTC device, the network device sends the identifier of the MTC device and the updated network location information to a home location register or a home subscriber server in the mobile communication network. It should be noted that the main network device for executing the steps a1-a7 is not limited to the operation support system, and may be other devices.
The embodiment of the invention can be used in an application scene that the cell coverage of a mobile communication network is changed, can flexibly obtain the paging area of the MTC equipment and has wider application range.
In the embodiment of the present invention, the MTC devices include the following three types:
1) the first type of MTC devices, which have a fixed location, do not move within the mobile communication network, such as water meters and the like.
2) The second category, MTC devices, move infrequently and only within a small range, such as home health monitoring devices.
3) A third type of MTC device, which is not frequently moved, may be moved within a larger range, such as a mobile vending machine.
In the embodiment of the present invention, the geographic position report message of the MTC device sent by the MTC server carries the geographic position information of the MTC device and the identifier of the MTC device, and optionally, may also carry the type information of the MTC device. The type information may be a third type MTC device and a non-third type MTC device, and may also be a first type MTC device, a second type MTC device, or a third type MTC device.
At this time, after receiving the geographic location reporting message sent by the MTC server, the step of obtaining, by the network device, the network location information corresponding to the geographic location information according to the mapping between the preset geographic location area and the network location area (step a2 or a4 above) may include:
1) if the type information indicates that the MTC device is a third-type MTC device, a cell identifier, a Routing Area Identity (RAI) and/or a Tracking Area Identity (TAI) corresponding to the geographical location information are obtained according to a mapping between a preset geographical location Area and a network location Area.
Since the third type of MTC device may move within a relatively large range, the network location information obtained by the network device includes three types, that is, a cell identifier and a routing area identifier, a cell identifier and a tracking area identifier, a cell identifier and a routing area identifier, and a tracking area identifier of a cell in which the MTC device is located. The Cell Identifier may be a Global Cell Identifier (CGI) or an Evolved Universal Terrestrial Radio Access Network (E-UTRAN) Global Cell Identifier.
2) And if the type information indicates that the MTC equipment is not the third type MTC equipment, acquiring a cell identifier corresponding to the geographical location information according to mapping between a preset geographical location area and a network location area.
Since the non-third-type MTC device (the first-type MTC device or the second-type MTC device) may not move within a large range, the network location information obtained by the network device may only include the cell identifier where the MTC device is located. The Cell Identifier may be a Global Cell Identifier (CGI) or an Evolved Universal Terrestrial radio access Network (E-UTRAN) Global Cell Identifier.
In the embodiment of the invention, the cell identifier is acquired aiming at the MTC equipment with low mobility, and the cell identifier and the routing area identifier and/or the tracking area identifier are acquired aiming at the MTC equipment with high mobility, so that the network position information can be acquired quickly, and the efficiency of acquiring the paging area is further improved.
Further, after acquiring the cell identifier, the routing area identifier, and/or the tracking area identifier corresponding to the geographic location information of the third type of MTC device according to the mapping between the preset geographic location area and the network location area, the network device may further send the identifier of the third type of MTC device, the cell identifier, the routing area identifier, and/or the tracking area identifier of the third type of MTC device to the MTC server, so that the MTC server may send the network location information of the third type of MTC device to the corresponding third type of MTC device.
The method for obtaining a paging area provided by the embodiment of the present invention is described in detail from the network device side, and the method for obtaining a paging area provided by the embodiment of the present invention is described from the MTC server side.
Referring to fig. 2, fig. 2 is a flowchart of a method for obtaining a paging area according to a second embodiment of the present invention.
The method for obtaining the paging area provided in the second embodiment of the present invention may include:
and B1, acquiring the identification of the MTC equipment and the geographical location information of the MTC equipment.
Specifically, the MTC server may obtain an identifier of the currently deployed MTC device and current geographical location information of the MTC device.
The MTC server may acquire the current geographic location information of the deployed MTC devices by using a GPS technology, where the geographic location information may be longitude and latitude.
And B2, sending a geographical position reporting message to the network equipment, wherein the geographical position reporting message carries the geographical position information and the identifier of the MTC equipment.
Specifically, the MTC server sends a geographical location reporting message to the network device, where the geographical location reporting message carries geographical location information of the MTC device and an identifier of the MTC device. The interface between the MTC server and the network device and the transmission format of the geographical location reporting message may be flexibly set by an operator.
In the embodiment of the invention, the MTC server sends the geographical location reporting message carrying the geographical location information and the identification of the MTC equipment to the network equipment, so that the network equipment can conveniently obtain the paging area of the MTC equipment according to the geographical location information. Compared with the prior art, the embodiment of the invention can enable the HLR or HSS to obtain the paging area of the low-mobility equipment, and then page the MTC equipment according to the paging area, thereby saving network signaling resources and improving the paging efficiency.
Further, the MTC server may further obtain type information of the deployed MTC devices, where the geographical location reporting message sent by the MTC server to the network device also carries the type information of the MTC devices. The type information may be a third type MTC device and a non-third type MTC device, and may also be a first type MTC device, a second type MTC device or a third type MTC device. At this time, the method for obtaining a paging area according to the second embodiment of the present invention further includes:
b3, receiving the identifier of the third type MTC device and the network location information sent by the network device, where the network location information includes a cell identifier where the third type MTC device is located, and a routing area identifier and/or a tracking area identifier.
And B4, sending the received network location information to the corresponding third type network equipment.
Specifically, the MTC server sends the received network location information to a third MTC device corresponding to the identifier of the third MTC device, and the MTC device receives and stores the network location information. The MTC device can also judge whether the switched network location information is contained in the stored network location information when switching occurs, and if not, the switched network location information is reported to the MTC server, so that the network can update the paging area of the MTC device according to the switched network location information, and an accurate paging area can be obtained.
Referring to fig. 3, fig. 3 is a flowchart of a method for obtaining a paging area according to a third embodiment of the present invention.
The method for obtaining the paging area provided in the third embodiment of the present invention may include:
and C1, receiving a network location reporting message sent by the MTC equipment, wherein the network location reporting message carries the identification of the MTC equipment and the network location information of the MTC equipment.
Specifically, the MTC device may report its network location information when initializing with the MTC server, and the MTC server receives a network location report message sent by the MTC device, where the network location report message includes an identifier of the MTC device and current network location information.
The message transmission between the MTC Server and the MTC Device may be in the form of Short Messaging Service (SMS) or Internet Protocol (IP) bearer.
And C2, acquiring a union of the received network position information.
Specifically, the MTC server may obtain a union of the received network location information, thereby obtaining a total network area of the deployed MTC devices.
And C3, sending the union of the identification of the MTC equipment and the network location information to the HSS or the HLR.

And the HSS or the HLR acquires the paging area of the deployed MTC equipment according to the union set of the network location information.
Specifically, the MTC server may send the received identifier and network location information of the MTC device to the HSS or HLR through an MTC gateway (gateway), and the HSS or HLR may obtain the paging area of the MTC device according to the received network location information and identifier. The MTC gateway and the HLR/HSS can use an S6d interface and use a MAP _ UPDATE _ GPRS _ LOCATION message for transmission. The embodiment of the invention can enhance the MAP _ UPDATE _ GPRS _ LOCATION message and add parameters of CGI/ECGI List, RAI/TAI List, MTC IMSI List and MTCIMEISV List.
In the embodiment of the invention, the MTC server receives the network location reporting message which is sent by the MTC equipment and carries the network location information, and sends the identification and the network location information of the MTC equipment to the HSS or the HLR, so that the HSS or the HLR can conveniently obtain the paging area of the MTC equipment. Compared with the prior art, the embodiment of the invention can enable the HLR or HSS to obtain the paging area of the low-mobility equipment, and then page the MTC equipment according to the paging area, thereby saving network signaling resources and improving the paging efficiency.
In addition, the embodiment of the invention can also be applied to scenes with fewer MTC (machine type communication) equipment and wider distribution range, so as to obtain a paging area with wider range of the MTC equipment. In addition, the MTC Subscriber can also measure the radius of the deployment area of the MTC equipment. The radius of the deployment area and the identification of the MTS devices in the deployment area may be configured in the MTC server in advance. The MTC server reports network location information of the MTC device located at the central location and sends information such as radius of the deployment area to the network device, where the method for obtaining a paging area provided in the fourth embodiment of the present invention includes:
