Description

Method and device for reporting traffic
Technical Field
The present application relates to the field of mobile communications technologies, and in particular, to a method and an apparatus for reporting traffic.
Background
The mobile terminal and the network device are used as a bottom layer bearing device, which can provide a transmission link for an upper layer user, thereby completing the transmission of user data. Please refer to fig. 1, which is a diagram illustrating a mobile terminal and a network device implementing radio resource allocation. As shown in fig. 1, in the process of allocating radio resources, a network device sends a measurement control message configured with measurement control parameters to a mobile terminal, and then the mobile terminal performs traffic measurement and reports a packet data traffic report to the network device, and the network device allocates a data rate of a packet user to the mobile terminal based on the packet traffic report reported by the mobile terminal and a radio resource allocation policy of the network device itself.
In practical applications, in order to allocate radio resources more reasonably and ensure normal operation of upper layer services, reasonable traffic reporting must be implemented. In the prior art, after a high layer issues a measurement control message to a mobile terminal, an MAC layer collects memory occupancy amounts of RLC entities, and when a service volume is obtained by calculation according to the memory occupancy amounts, the service volume is reported based on the calculated service volume.
However, under some boundary conditions, if the current network resource is basically matched with the rate of upper layer user data delivery, a situation that each traffic value fluctuates above or below the upper threshold value may occur, if the traffic value fluctuates above or below the lower threshold value, the reporting of the 4B event is frequently triggered, and if the traffic value fluctuates above or below the lower threshold value, the reporting of the 4A event may not always be triggered. When the reporting of the 4B event is frequently triggered or the reporting of the 4A event cannot be always triggered, the upper layer user data cannot be sent out immediately, and a large amount of upper layer user data is accumulated on the RLC layer. Finally, the efficiency of upper layer data transmission is affected, and the utilization rate of the bottom layer wireless resources is affected.

Detailed Description
When the MAC layer reports traffic based on the event mode, on one hand, refer to fig. 2, which is a schematic diagram of traffic reported based on a 4B event in the prior art. When the instantaneous service volume in a TTI is lower than a lower threshold value, the MAC layer starts a 4B event trigger time timer, if the average service volume counted in each service volume counting period is lower than the lower threshold value in the timing time of the 4B event trigger time timer, the service volume report related to the 4B event is reported; on the other hand, please refer to fig. 3, which is a schematic diagram of traffic reported based on a 4A event in the prior art. When the instantaneous traffic in one TTI is higher than an upper threshold value, the MAC layer starts a 4A event trigger time timer, if the instantaneous traffic in each TTI is higher than the upper threshold value in the timing time of the 4A event trigger time timer, the traffic report related to the 4A event is reported.
However, under some boundary conditions, this method of reporting traffic adversely affects the data transmission of the mobile terminal. For the 4B event, please refer to fig. 4, which is a schematic diagram of traffic reported based on the 4B event under the boundary condition in the prior art, wherein each cubic column in fig. 4 represents the instantaneous traffic in one TTI. If the current network resource is basically matched with the data delivery rate of the upper layer user, the situation that the instantaneous traffic in each TTI fluctuates up and down on the lower threshold value can be generated, at this time, in the timing time of the 4B event trigger time timer, the average traffic counted in each traffic counting period is lower than the lower threshold value, and the reporting of the 4B event is always triggered, correspondingly, the network responds to the 4B event reported by the mobile terminal, and the radio resource distributed to the mobile equipment is reduced through the reconfiguration message. If the upper layer user data is submitted downwards according to the original rate before responding to the changed wireless resources, the upper layer user data cannot be sent out immediately and is accumulated on an RLC layer; even if the network side is notified by the reporting 4A event to improve the radio resources allocated to the mobile terminal, the overtime retransmission of the upper layer user data still occurs.
Similarly, for the 4A event, please refer to fig. 5, which is a schematic diagram of traffic reported based on the 4A event under the boundary condition in the prior art, wherein each cubic column in fig. 5 represents the instantaneous traffic in one TTI. When the boundary condition occurs, the instantaneous traffic in each TTI cannot be all higher than the upper threshold value within the timing time of the 4A event trigger time timer, and cannot trigger the reporting of the 4A event, at this time, the upper layer user data floating around the upper threshold value is always cached on the RLC layer, and the overtime retransmission of the upper layer user data is also caused. Finally, the efficiency of upper layer data transmission is affected, and the utilization rate of the bottom layer wireless resources is affected.
The embodiments of the present application will be described in detail below with reference to the drawings and embodiments. It should be understood that the specific embodiments described herein are merely illustrative of the present application and are not intended to limit the present application.
Example one
Please refer to fig. 6, which is a flowchart illustrating an embodiment of a method for reporting a service data volume according to the present application, including the following steps:
step 601: reporting the traffic related to the 4B event when the instantaneous traffic in each TTI is lower than a lower threshold value within the timing time of the 4B event trigger time timer;
wherein, when the instantaneous traffic in each TTI is lower than the lower threshold, reporting the traffic related to the 4B event comprises: in the timing time of the 4B event trigger time timer, calculating to obtain the instantaneous service volume in the TTI according to the memory occupation volume reported by the RLC; and judging whether the instantaneous traffic in each TTI is lower than a lower threshold value, and if so, reporting the traffic related to the 4B event.
For example, please refer to fig. 4, during the timing time of the 4B time triggered timer, the instantaneous traffic in the TTI is calculated according to the memory occupancy reported by the RLC. As shown in fig. 4, after the RLC reports the memory occupancy, the instantaneous traffic in 12 TTIs is calculated according to the memory occupancy reported by the RLC, wherein each cubic column in fig. 4 represents the instantaneous traffic in one TTI. And then judging whether the 12 instantaneous traffic volumes are all lower than a lower threshold value, and if so, reporting the traffic volume based on the 4B event. As can be seen from fig. 4, in the 12 instantaneous traffic volumes, the reported 3 rd instantaneous traffic volume, 5 th instantaneous traffic volume, and 6 th instantaneous traffic volume are all higher than the lower threshold value, and if the reporting condition is not met, the traffic volume based on the 4B event will not be reported.
In addition to the above, only whether the instantaneous traffic in the TTI is lower than the lower threshold is used as the reporting condition, the average traffic in each traffic counting period may be counted according to the instantaneous traffic within the timing time of the 4B event triggered time timer, and whether each instantaneous traffic and each average traffic are simultaneously lower than the lower threshold is used as the reporting condition.
When the instantaneous traffic in each TTI is lower than the lower threshold, reporting the traffic related to the 4B event comprises: in the timing time of the 4B event trigger time timer, calculating to obtain the instantaneous service volume in each TTI according to the memory occupation volume reported by the RLC; in the timing time of the 4B event trigger time timer, obtaining the average traffic in each traffic counting period according to the instantaneous traffic counting; and judging whether each instantaneous traffic and each average traffic are lower than a lower threshold value, and if so, reporting the traffic related to the 4B event.
For example, please refer to fig. 4, during the timing time of the 4B event triggered timer, the instantaneous traffic in 12 TTIs is calculated according to the memory occupied amount reported by the RLC, wherein each cubic column in fig. 4 represents the instantaneous traffic in one TTI. Then, within the timing time of the 4B event trigger time timer, assuming that each 3 TTIs is a traffic statistic period, obtaining the average traffic in the 4 traffic statistic periods according to the instantaneous traffic in 12 TTIs, namely, obtaining the first average traffic according to the 1 st to 3 rd instantaneous traffic statistics, obtaining the second average traffic according to the 4 th to 6 th instantaneous traffic statistics, obtaining the third average traffic according to the 7 th to 9 th instantaneous traffic statistics, and obtaining the fourth average traffic according to the 10 th to 12 th instantaneous traffic statistics. And finally, judging whether each instantaneous traffic and each average traffic are lower than a lower threshold value, and if so, reporting the traffic related to the 4B event. As shown in fig. 4, during the timing time of the 4B event trigger time timer, the average traffic volume in 4 traffic volume statistic periods may be lower than the lower threshold, but since not all the instantaneous traffic volumes are lower than the lower threshold (the 3 rd instantaneous traffic volume, the 5 th instantaneous traffic volume, and the 6 th instantaneous traffic volume are all higher than the lower threshold), the condition of reporting 4 is not satisfied, and no reporting is performed.
It can be obtained that when each instantaneous traffic is lower than the lower threshold, each average traffic obtained based on the instantaneous traffic statistics is also inevitably lower than the lower threshold, and at this time, each instantaneous traffic and each average traffic are both lower than the lower threshold at the same time, so as to satisfy the reporting condition. If not, each average traffic obtained based on the statistics of the instantaneous traffic may be lower than the lower threshold, or may not be lower than the lower threshold, at this time, because each instantaneous traffic is not lower than the lower threshold, there is inevitably a result that each instantaneous traffic and each average traffic are not lower than the lower threshold, and the reporting condition is not satisfied. Based on the above analysis, it is equivalent to consider that whether each instantaneous traffic and each average traffic are both lower than the lower threshold value as the reporting condition and that each instantaneous traffic is lower than the lower threshold value as the reporting condition.
Step 602: and reporting the traffic related to the 4A event when the average traffic counted in each traffic counting period is higher than the upper threshold value within the timing time of the 4A event trigger time timer.
Wherein, when the average traffic counted in each traffic data volume counting period is higher than the upper threshold, reporting the traffic related to the 4A event comprises: calculating to obtain the instantaneous service volume in the TTI according to the memory occupation volume reported by the RLC within the timing time of the 4A event trigger time timer; judging whether the instantaneous traffic is higher than an upper threshold value, and reporting the traffic related to the 4A event when each instantaneous traffic is higher than the upper threshold value; when each instantaneous traffic is not higher than the upper threshold value, in the timing time of the 4A event trigger time timer, obtaining the average traffic in each traffic counting period according to the instantaneous traffic; and judging whether each average traffic is higher than an upper threshold value, and if so, reporting the traffic related to the 4A event.
For example, please refer to fig. 5, first, in the timing event of the event trigger timer triggered by the 4A event, the instantaneous traffic in 10 TTIs is calculated according to the memory occupation reported by the RLC, wherein each cubic column in fig. 5 represents the instantaneous traffic in one TTI. And then judging whether 10 instantaneous traffic volumes are all higher than an upper threshold value, reporting the traffic volume related to the 4A event when 11 instantaneous traffic volumes are all higher than the upper threshold value, and counting according to 10 instantaneous traffic volumes to obtain the average traffic volume in each traffic volume counting period within the timing time of a 4A event trigger time timer when 11 instantaneous traffic volumes are not all higher than the upper threshold value. Assuming that each 2 TTIs is a traffic statistic period, the average traffic in 5 traffic statistic periods is obtained according to the instantaneous traffic in 10 TTIs, i.e. the first average traffic is calculated according to the 1 st to 2 nd instantaneous traffic, the second average traffic is calculated according to the 3 rd to 4 th instantaneous traffic, the third average traffic is calculated according to the 5 th to 6 th instantaneous traffic, the fourth average traffic is calculated according to the 7 th to 8 th instantaneous traffic, and the fifth average traffic is calculated according to the 9 th to 10 th instantaneous traffic. And finally, judging whether the average traffic 5 is higher than the upper threshold value, and if so, reporting the traffic related to the 4A event.
The method comprises the steps of firstly calculating instant traffic, taking whether the instant traffic is higher than an upper threshold value as a first condition for reporting, when the first condition is not met, further counting average traffic according to instant traffic statistics, taking whether the average traffic is higher than the upper threshold value as a second condition for reporting, and when the second condition is met, reporting the 4A event. In addition, it is also possible to use whether each instantaneous traffic or each average traffic is higher than the upper threshold as the reporting condition during the timing time of the 4A event triggered time timer.
When the average traffic counted in each traffic counting period is higher than the upper threshold, reporting the traffic report of the 4A event includes: calculating to obtain the instantaneous service volume in the TTI according to the memory occupation volume reported by the RLC within the timing time of the 4A event trigger time timer; in the timing time of the 4A event trigger time timer, obtaining the average traffic in each traffic counting period according to the instantaneous traffic counting; and judging whether each instantaneous traffic or each average traffic is higher than an upper threshold value, and if so, reporting the traffic related to the 4A event.
Then, within the timing time of the 4A event trigger time timer, assuming that each 2 TTIs is a traffic statistic period, the average traffic in 5 traffic statistic periods is obtained according to the instantaneous traffic in 10 TTIs, i.e., the first average traffic is obtained according to the 1 st to 2 nd instantaneous traffic, the second average traffic is obtained according to the 3 rd to 4 th instantaneous traffic, the third average traffic is obtained according to the 5 th to 6 th instantaneous traffic, the fourth average traffic is obtained according to the 7 th to 8 th instantaneous traffic, and the fifth average traffic is obtained according to the 9 th to 10 th instantaneous traffic. And finally, judging whether each instantaneous traffic or each average traffic is higher than an upper threshold value, and if so, reporting the traffic related to the 4A event.
It can be obtained that when each instantaneous traffic is higher than the upper threshold, each average traffic based on the statistics of the instantaneous traffic is necessarily higher than the upper threshold. If not, each average traffic based on the instantaneous traffic statistics may or may not be higher than the upper threshold. Therefore, whether each instantaneous traffic or each average traffic is higher than the upper threshold is taken as a reporting condition, and whether the instantaneous traffic is higher than the upper threshold is taken as a first reporting condition, and when the first condition is not met, whether the average traffic is higher than the upper threshold is taken as a second reporting condition, which is equal to each other, that is, reporting can be performed as long as the average traffic counted in each traffic counting period is higher than the upper threshold.
Further, the method may further include: and judging whether the reporting mode of the traffic is periodic reporting or not, and if so, reporting the traffic reported in the relevant period when the reporting period is up.
It can be seen from the above embodiments that, when the traffic volume is reported according to the new 4A event and the reporting condition of the 4B event, the reporting condition of the 4B event is stricter than that of the 4A event, so that the reporting times of the 4B event are reasonably and effectively reduced, and the reporting times of the 4A event are increased. Therefore, the method and the device ensure that the upper layer user data can be sent out in time under the boundary condition, and can not cause the accumulation of a large amount of upper layer user data on the RLC layer. Finally, the transmission efficiency of upper layer data and the utilization rate of bottom layer wireless resources are improved.
Example two
Referring to fig. 7, it is a flowchart of an embodiment of a method for reporting traffic volume according to the present application, where the method takes the traffic volume reported based on the 4B event and the 4A event in the boundary conditions in fig. 4 and 5 as a scenario, and the method for reporting the traffic volume under the boundary conditions is described in detail below, and includes the following steps:
step 701: MAC obtains the measurement control information of the traffic from RRC;
wherein, the RRC configures corresponding measurement control information to the MAC through the measurement control primitive, and the measurement control information at least includes: the method comprises the steps of measuring a mode, a service flow identifier, a service flow statistical period, and an upper threshold value and a lower threshold value in an event mode. Wherein the designation in the measurement mode is based on periodic reporting and/or event reporting. If the service flow identifier is reported based on the event, specifically indicating to report based on the 4A event or report based on the 4B event in the service flow identifier; the time interval for counting the average traffic volume is specifically indicated in the counting period of the traffic volume.
Step 702: when the measurement starts, the MAC receives the memory occupation amount reported by each RLC, and calculates to obtain the instantaneous service volume in the TTI according to the memory occupation amount reported by the RLC;
step 703: the MAC respectively judges whether the reporting mode is event reporting and periodic reporting according to the measurement mode, and when the reporting mode is event reporting, the method enters step 704, and when the reporting mode is periodic reporting, the method enters step 708;
and after the instantaneous traffic in the TTI is obtained, the MAC respectively judges the reporting modes, wherein the reporting modes can only comprise an event reporting mode and carry out the reporting of the traffic based on the event under the condition of meeting the event reporting, and can also comprise the event reporting mode and a periodic reporting mode simultaneously and carry out the reporting of the traffic based on the event and the period respectively under the conditions of meeting the event reporting and the periodic reporting.
Step 704: when reporting based on the event, the MAC judges the type of the event according to the traffic identification, if the event is a 4A event, the step 705 is carried out, and if the event is a 4B event, the step 706 is carried out;
step 705: judging whether the average traffic counted in each traffic counting period or the instantaneous traffic in each TTI is higher than an upper threshold value within the timing time of the 4A event trigger time timer, if so, entering a step 707, and if not, entering a step 710;
in the first embodiment, a specific implementation process has been described in detail, so that details are not described herein.
Step 706: judging whether the average traffic counted in each traffic counting period and the instantaneous traffic in each TTI are both lower than a lower threshold value within the timing time of the 4B event trigger time timer, if so, entering step 707, and if not, entering step 710;
in the first embodiment, a specific implementation process has been described in detail, so that details are not described herein.
Step 707: judging whether the timing time of the 4A event trigger time timer or the timing time of the 4B event trigger time timer is up, if so, entering a step 709, and if not, entering a step 710;
when it is determined in step 705 that the reporting condition of the 4A event is satisfied, step 707 determines whether the timing time of the 4A event trigger time timer is reached; however, when it is determined in step 706 that the reporting condition of the 4B event is satisfied, step 707 determines whether the timing time of the 4B event trigger time timer is reached.
Step 708: judging whether a reporting period reported periodically arrives, if so, entering a step 709, and if not, entering a step 710;
besides reporting based on the event, if the reporting mode also includes periodic reporting, whether the reporting period based on the periodic reporting is reached is judged.
Step 709: MAC reports the traffic report to RRC;
under the condition of reporting based on the event, if the reporting condition of the 4A event is met, the MAC reports the traffic report based on the 4A event to the RRC, and if the reporting condition of the 4B event is met, the MAC reports the traffic report based on the 4B event to the RRC. Under the condition of reporting based on the period, if the reporting period of the periodic reporting is reached, the MAC reports the service volume report based on the periodic reporting to the RRC.
Step 710: waiting for the next TTI time and, when it arrives, returning to step 702 again.
It can be seen from the above embodiments that, when the traffic volume is reported according to the new 4A event and the reporting condition of the 4B event, the reporting condition of the 4B event is stricter than that of the 4A event, which effectively reduces the reporting times of the 4B event and improves the reporting times of the 4A event. Therefore, the method and the device ensure that the upper layer user data can be sent out immediately under the boundary condition, and can not cause the accumulation of a large amount of upper layer user data on the RLC layer. Finally, the transmission efficiency of upper layer data and the utilization rate of bottom layer wireless resources are improved.
