Description

Method and system for realizing service quality control
Technical Field
The present invention relates to local IP access (LIPA) technology, and more particularly, to a method and system for implementing quality of service (QoS) control when a mobile subscriber accesses a fixed network.
Background
The Evolved Packet System (EPS) of the third Generation Partnership Project (3 GPP), which is composed of Evolved Universal mobile telecommunications System Terrestrial Radio Access Network (E-UTRAN), Mobility Management Entity (MME), serving Gateway (S-GW), Packet Data Network Gateway (P-GW, Packet Data Network Gateway, also called PDN GW), Home Subscriber Server (HSS), Authentication Authorization Accounting (AAA) of 3GPP, Authentication and Accounting (Authorization and Accounting) Server of 3GPP, Policy and Charging Rules Function (PCRF) Entity and other support nodes.
Fig. 1 is a schematic diagram illustrating a conventional EPS architecture, and as shown in fig. 1, an MME is responsible for related operations of a control plane such as mobility management, non-access stratum signaling processing, and user mobility management context management; the access gateway comprises an S-GW and a P-GW, wherein the S-GW is access gateway equipment connected with the E-UTRAN, is used for forwarding data between the E-UTRAN and the P-GW and is responsible for caching paging waiting data; the P-GW is a border gateway of the EPS and a Packet Data Network (PDN) and is responsible for accessing the PDN and forwarding Data between the EPS and the PDN; the authentication and authorization server comprises HSS and AAA server; the PCRF is a policy and charging rule function entity, the PCRF is connected with an IP Service network through an Rx receiving interface to acquire Service information, and in addition, the PCRF is connected with gateway equipment in the network through a Gx/Gxa/Gxc interface to be responsible for initiating the establishment of IP bearing, ensuring the quality of Service (QoS) of Service data and carrying out charging control.
The EPS supports the intercommunication with the non-3 GPP IP access network, wherein the intercommunication with the non-3 GPP IP access network is realized through an S2a/b/c interface, and the P-GW is used as an anchor point between the 3GPP and the non-3 GPP IP access network. In the system architecture diagram of the EPS shown in fig. 1, the non-3 GPP IP access networks are divided into trusted non-3 GPP IP access networks and untrusted non-3 GPP IP access networks. The trusted non-3 GPP IP access network can be directly connected with the P-GW through an S2a interface; an untrusted non-3 GPP IP access network needs to be connected to a P-GW through an Evolved Packet Data Gateway (ePDG), an interface between the ePDG and the P-GW provides S2b and S2c with User Equipment (UE) and P-GW User plane related control and mobility Support, and a supported mobility management protocol is mobile IPv6(DSMIPv6, Moblie IPv6 Support for Dual Stack Hosts and Routers) supporting Dual stacks.
In the EPS system, a Policy and Charging Enforcement Function (PCEF) entity exists in the P-GW, and the PCRF and the P-GW exchange information through a Gx interface. When the interface between the P-GW and the S-GW is based on PMIPv6, the S-GW also has a Bearer Binding and Event Reporting Function (BBERF) entity to perform quality of service (QoS) control on the service data stream, and the S-GW and the PCRF exchange information through a Gxc interface. When accessing through the trusted non-3 GPP access network, the BBERF also resides in the trusted non-3 GPP access network. And information is exchanged between the trusted non-3 GPP access gateway and the PCRF through a Gxa interface. When the UE roams, the interface S9 serves as an interface between the home PCRF and the visited PCRF, and simultaneously provides an Application Function (AF) of a service for the UE, and sends service information for formulating Policy and Charging Control (PCC) Policy to the PCRF through the Rx interface.
In 3GPP, a corresponding PDN network can be found through an Access Point Name (APN). One connection of a UE to a PDN Network is commonly referred to as an IP Connectivity Access Network (IP-CAN) session. In the process of establishing the IP-CAN session, the BBERF and the PCEF respectively establish Diameter sessions with the PCRF, and policy charging information for controlling the IP-CAN session, information for formulating a policy and the like are transmitted through the Diameter sessions.
A Home base station (HNB, Home NodeB) is a small-sized, low-power base station, and is deployed in indoor places such as homes and offices, and mainly functions to provide higher service rate for users, reduce the cost required for using high-rate services, and make up for the deficiency of coverage of the existing distributed cellular wireless communication system. The HNB has the advantages of being economical, convenient, low in power output, plug-and-play and the like. In the home base station system, the home base station is a wireless side network element. Fig. 2a is a schematic diagram illustrating a prior art connection of an HNB in a mobile communication network, as shown in fig. 2a, a home base station may be directly connected to a core network; fig. 2b is a schematic diagram of a connection diagram of an HNB in a mobile communication network in the prior art, as shown in fig. 2b, a home base station may also access to a core network through a logical network element of a home base station gateway. The home base station gateway has the main functions of verifying the safety of the HNB, processing the registration of the HNB, performing operation maintenance management on the HNB, configuring and controlling the home base station according to the requirements of an operator and taking charge of exchanging data of a core network and the home base station.
Besides supporting the access of a mobile core network, the mobile communication system (including a home base station system) can also support a local IP access function, and can realize the local access of the terminal to other IP equipment of the home network or the internet under the conditions that a wireless side network element has local IP access capability and a user subscribes to allow the local IP access.
The local IP access can be implemented in a variety of connection establishment methods: the access of the core network and the access function of the local IP can be simultaneously realized by establishing a connection (as shown in fig. 2a and fig. 2 b), and at this time, the function of a local gateway does not need to be added on a wireless side network element or a home base station gateway; powerful support for local IP access technology can be provided by adding a local gateway, fig. 3a is a schematic diagram of providing local IP access through the local gateway, and fig. 3b is a schematic diagram of providing local IP access through the local gateway. The local gateway may co-operate with the wireless side network element (as shown in fig. 3 a). In the presence of the femto gateway, the local gateway may be configured not only with the femto, but also with the femto gateway (as shown in fig. 3 b). The Local gateway can be a Local SGW (L-SGW, Local SGW) and a Local PGW (L-PGW, Local PGW), or can be a single L-PGW. In addition, the home base station gateway can be combined with the home base station. For a Universal Terrestrial Radio Access Network (UTRAN) system, a core Network Gateway may be a Serving GPRS Support Node (SGSN) or a Gateway GPRS Support Node (GGSN). The Local gateway can be a Local GGSN (L-GGSN, Local GGSN) and a Local SGSN (L-SGSN, Local SGSN), or can be a single L-GGSN.
Taking a Long Term Evolution (LTE) mobile communication network architecture as an example, fig. 4a is a schematic diagram of a local IP access data flow in the mobile communication system shown in fig. 2a in the prior art; fig. 4b is a diagram illustrating a local IP access data flow in the mobile communication system shown in fig. 3a in the prior art.
Fig. 5 is a schematic diagram of data flow of a local IP access BRAS in a mobile communication system in the prior art, and as shown in fig. 5, a bold dashed-dotted line represents data flow of local IP access, and a bold dashed-double dotted line represents data flow of core network connection. For local IP Access, the local IP Access is accessed through a fixed network device, such as a Broadband Remote Access Server (BRAS), which may also be suitable for the L-GW, and the fixed network and the mobile network labeled in fig. 5 may belong to different operators or may belong to the same operator.
Currently, in the LIPA technology, no specific implementation scheme is provided for how to perform QoS control on the traffic of the data flow of the local IP access, so that a situation that the traffic of the part, for example, the part of the P2P traffic, cannot be controlled may occur, so that the data flows occupy a large amount of network resources, and normal service development and operation and maintenance of the network are affected.

Detailed Description
Fig. 6 is a flowchart of a method for implementing QoS control when a mobile user accesses a fixed network according to the present invention, as shown in fig. 6, including:
step 600: when the mobile user accesses the fixed network, the fixed network subscription information storage library issues a QoS strategy to the fixed network access equipment.
In this step, the mobile subscriber may access the fixed network by establishing LIPA connection, etc. When the mobile subscriber realizes accessing the fixed network by establishing the LIPA connection, the gateway or the wireless side network element senses the LIPA connection establishment, for example, when the L-GW receives a request message for the LIPA connection establishment, the gateway or the wireless side network element initiates an authentication request.
In this step, the gateway is a gateway device of the mobile network, which may be a local gateway or a home base station gateway; wherein, the wireless side network element comprises at least one of the following: a base station, a home base station, a Radio Network Controller (RNC). The fixed network access equipment may be a BRAS.
Step 601: and the fixed network access equipment executes corresponding QoS operation on the data stream of the user requesting access according to the QoS strategy issued by the fixed network subscription information repository.
If the fixed network subscription information repository locally stores the user subscription information requesting access, the fixed network subscription information repository issues the QoS strategy signed by the user to the fixed network access equipment;
if the fixed network subscription information repository does not have the QoS strategy signed by the user requesting access or the QoS strategy signed by the user is incomplete, the fixed network subscription information repository sends a request to a subscription information repository (such as HSS/SPR) of the home network, the subscription information repository of the home network returns the QoS strategy signed by the user, and the QoS strategy signed by the user is issued to the fixed network access equipment by the fixed network subscription information repository.
After receiving the QoS strategy signed by the user, the fixed network access equipment executes corresponding QoS operation on the data flow of the user.
The fixed network subscription information repository may be an Authentication, Authorization, and Accounting (AAA, Authentication, Authorization, Accounting) server. The QoS policy of the user requesting access may include: maximum Bit Rate (AMBR), and/or QoS Class Identifier (QCI), and/or Allocation and Reservation Priority (ARP), and/or allowed usage amount (allowances), etc.
Before the mobile user accesses the fixed network and the fixed network subscription information storage library issues the QoS strategy to the fixed network access device, the method of the invention also comprises the following steps:
the gateway requests authentication to the fixed network access equipment, and after the fixed network access equipment receives the authentication request, the fixed network subscription information repository authenticates the user requesting access.
Fig. 7 is a schematic diagram of an embodiment of QoS control for a local IP access connection access BRAS according to the present invention, where fig. 7 illustrates an access fixed network by taking LIPA connection establishment as an example, a fixed network subscription information repository is an AAA server, a subscription information repository is a home subscriber server/service subscription management network element (HSS/SPR), and a fixed network access device is a BRAS; as shown in fig. 7, the bold dashed-dotted line indicates a data flow of the local IP access, and the bold dashed-two dotted line indicates a data flow of the core network connection. After receiving the authentication request, the BRAS forwards the authentication request to the AAA server. The authentication of the user establishing the LIPA connection by the AAA server may be in the following manner:
if the AAA server locally stores the user subscription information for establishing the LIPA connection, such as the method of protocol, configuration, etc. inside the operator or between different operators, the AAA server authenticates the user and returns a response message to the BRAS.
If the AAA server does not establish the user subscription information of the LIPA connection or the user subscription information is incomplete, the AAA server initiates a request to a home subscriber server/service subscription management network element (HSS/SPR), at the moment, the HSS/SPR authenticates the user and returns a response message to the BRAS through the AAA server; or the HSS/SPR returns the user subscription information to the AAA server, and after the AAA server stores and authenticates the user subscription information, the HSS/SPR returns a response message to the BRAS.
The method of the invention realizes the QoS control of the flow of the data flow of the user accessing the fixed network, and avoids the data flow occupying a large amount of network resources, thereby ensuring the normal service development and operation and maintenance of the network.
Further, when the subscription information repository senses that the subscription information changes, the method of the present invention further includes: the subscription information repository informs the fixed network subscription data repository of updating; and the fixed network subscription information repository receiving the update notification issues the update notification carrying the updated QoS strategy to the fixed network access equipment, and the fixed network access equipment executes the QoS strategy update operation.
Further, when the fixed network access gateway senses that the user accessing the fixed network exits the fixed network, for example, LIPA connection release of the user, the fixed network access gateway deletes the QoS policy associated with the user.
Fig. 8 is a schematic structural diagram of a system for implementing QoS control when a mobile subscriber accesses a fixed network, as shown in fig. 8, the system mainly includes a gateway or a wireless network element, a fixed network access device, and a fixed network subscription information repository, wherein,
and the gateway or the wireless side network element is used for receiving the request of the mobile user for accessing the fixed network.
The fixed network access equipment is used for executing corresponding QoS operation on the data stream of the user requesting access according to the QoS strategy issued by the fixed network subscription information repository;
and the fixed network subscription information repository is used for returning the QoS strategy signed by the user requesting access to the fixed network access equipment.
Furthermore, the gateway or the wireless side network element in the system of the invention is also used for requesting authentication to the fixed network access equipment when the mobile user accesses the fixed network;
the fixed network access equipment is also used for authenticating the user requesting access through the fixed network subscription information repository after receiving the authentication request;
and the fixed network subscription information repository is also used for authenticating the user requesting access.
Furthermore, the system also comprises a subscription information repository of the home network,
the fixed network subscription information repository is further used for initiating a request to the subscription information repository of the home network when the user subscription information of the user requesting access is not available or the user subscription information is not complete;
the subscription information repository of the home network is used for authenticating the user and returning a response message after receiving the request of the fixed network subscription information repository; or the user subscription information is returned to the fixed network subscription information repository, and the fixed network subscription information repository stores and authenticates the user subscription information.
The fixed network subscription information repository is further used for sending a request to the subscription information repository of the home network when the user subscription QoS strategy of the user who does not request access is not available or the user subscription QoS strategy is not available;
the subscription information repository of the home network is further used for returning the QoS strategy signed by the user to the fixed network subscription information repository.
The subscription information repository of the home network is further used for sensing that the subscription information changes and sending an update notification to the fixed network subscription information repository;
the fixed network subscription information repository is further used for receiving an update notification from the subscription information repository of the home network and issuing the updated QoS strategy to the fixed network access equipment; the fixed network access equipment is further used for executing the QoS strategy updating operation.
The fixed network access equipment is further used for deleting the QoS strategy related to the user when the user requesting the access is sensed to exit the fixed network.
The process of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to examples. In the following embodiment, it is assumed that the mobile subscriber accesses the fixed network by establishing the LIPA connection, where the gateway is a local gateway, the fixed network access device is a BRAS, the fixed network subscription information repository is an AAA server, and the subscription information repository is an HSS/SPR.
Fig. 9 is a flowchart of a first embodiment of the present invention for authenticating a user accessing a local IP access connection to a BRAS, where in this embodiment, a local gateway is assumed to be an L-GW, and an AAA server locally stores user subscription information, as shown in fig. 9, the method includes:
step 900: the L-GW perceives LIPA connection establishment. For example, the L-GW receives a LIPA connection setup request message.
Step 901: the L-GW sends an authentication request to the BRAS.
Step 902: the BRAS forwards the authentication request to the AAA server.
Step 903: and the AAA server authenticates the user establishing the LIPA connection according to the user subscription information stored by the AAA server.
Step 904: the AAA server returns the authentication result to the BRAS as a response message.
Step 905: and the BRAS forwards the response message to the L-GW.
Fig. 10 is a flowchart of a second embodiment of the present invention for authenticating a user accessing a local IP access connection to a BRAS, where in this embodiment, it is assumed that a local gateway is an L-GW, and an AAA server does not locally store user subscription information of the user, as shown in fig. 10, the method includes:
step 1000: the L-GW perceives LIPA connection establishment.
Step 1001: the L-GW sends an authentication request to the BRAS.
Step 1002: the BRAS forwards the authentication request to the AAA server.
Step 1003: the AAA server inquires the user subscription information stored locally, and sends an authentication request to the HSS if the user subscription information of the user is not found.
Step 1004: and the HSS performs authentication according to the local user subscription information.
Step 1005: the HSS returns the authentication result to the AAA server as a response message. The response message may further carry the user subscription information of the user.
Step 1006: if the received response message from HSS has no subscription information, AAA server forwards the response message from HSS to BRAS.
In this step, after receiving the response message from the HSS, if there is the user subscription information in the response message, the AAA server further includes: the AAA server saves the user subscription information, authenticates according to the user subscription information, and returns the authentication result as a response message to the BRAS.
Step 1007: and the BRAS returns a response message to the L-GW.
Fig. 11 is a flowchart of an embodiment of issuing a QoS policy when a local IP access connection is accessed to a BRAS according to the present invention, where after a user completes authentication, if an AAA server locally stores user subscription information, the AAA server issues the QoS policy signed by the user to the BRAS; if the AAA server does not have the signed QoS strategy of the user or the signed QoS strategy is not complete, the AAA server sends a request to the HSS/SPR, and the HSS/SPR returns the signed QoS strategy of the user and then the AAA server issues the strategy to the BRAS. As shown in fig. 11, includes:
for the case that the AAA server locally stores the QoS policy for the subscription of the user, step 1100a is performed: AAA server inquires local user contract data, finds out the QoS strategy contracted by the user and sends it to BRAS.
It should be noted that, since the AAA server may store the QoS information signed by the user, step 1100a may be combined with step 904 in fig. 9 of the authentication process, that is, after the authentication is completed, the AAA server returns a response message to the BRAS, except for carrying the authentication result, it is only required to carry the QoS policy signed by the user.
For the QoS policy that the AAA server does not locally store the user subscription, step 1100b to step 1104b are executed, which is described in detail as follows:
step 1100 b: the AAA server inquires local user subscription data, finds no QoS strategy signed by the user, and requests the QoS strategy signed by the user from the HSS/SPR.
Step 1101 b: and the HSS/SPR inquires the user subscription data stored locally to find out the QoS strategy subscribed by the user currently establishing the LIPA connection.
Step 1102 b: and the HSS/SPR returns a response to the AAA server, and the response message carries the QoS strategy signed by the user.
Step 1013 b: the AAA server may store the QoS policy, and may modify and adjust the QoS policy according to the local policy. This step may be omitted.
Step 1104 b: the AAA server issues the QoS policy to the BRAS.
Since the HSS may store the QoS information of the user subscription, steps 1100b to 1104b may be combined with step 1006 in the authentication process shown in fig. 10, that is, after the HSS/SPR completes authentication, except that an authentication result is returned, the response message carries the QoS policy of the user subscription.
Fig. 12 is a flowchart of an embodiment of deleting a QoS policy in accessing a local IP access connection to a BRAS according to the present invention, and assuming that the BRAS deletes a QoS policy related to a subscriber when the BRAS senses that a LIPA connection of the subscriber is released, as shown in fig. 12, the method includes:
step 1200 to step 1201: and the HSS/SPR senses that the subscription information changes and sends an update notice carrying the updated QoS strategy to the AAA server.
Step 1202: the AAA server sends an update notice carrying the updated QoS strategy to the BRAS.
Step 1203: and after receiving the message, the BRAS executes corresponding updating operation.
Step 1204: when the BRAS perceives the LIPA connection release of the user, the BRAS deletes the QoS strategy related to the user.
The above description is only exemplary of the present invention and should not be taken as limiting the scope of the present invention, and any modifications, equivalents, improvements, etc. that are within the spirit and principle of the present invention should be included in the present invention.
