Abstract
The embodiment of the invention discloses a method and a system for controlling downloading of a patch packet, a client and a server. The method comprises the following steps of: acquiring a downloading proportion control parameter of the patch packet from the server by using the client before the patch packet is downloaded; judging whether the client meets a preset downloading condition or not according to the downloading proportion control parameter, wherein the preset downloading condition is used for controlling users of a preset downloading proportion to download the patch packet; and downloading the patch packet from the server by using the client when the preset downloading condition is met. By applying the embodiment of the invention, the number of the users for downloading the patch packet can be controlled according to the network flow condition, so that the load of the server can be effectively controlled and the downloading performance of the patch packet can be improved.
Description
Technical Field
The present application relates to the field of computer technologies, and in particular, to a method, a system, a client, and a server for controlling downloading of a patch package.
Background
In the process of software application, for example, various operating systems, various games, etc., it may be found that there is a problem or BUG, also called BUG, in the software, the BUG may cause interference when users use the software, or reduce the security performance of the software, so that the BUG may be fixed by writing some program language that can be inserted into the source program, which is called patch package.
Taking operating system software as an example, a dedicated website in the prior art may periodically release a patch package within a period of time, and a user may repair the relevant performance of the operating system by downloading and installing the patch package. However, in the course of research on the prior art, the inventor finds that, generally, the downloading time of a patch package is related to the usage habit of a client user, for example, between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m., after the user starts the client, the updated patch package will be automatically downloaded from the server, and when the number of the updated patch packages is large, the total amount of the patch packages to be downloaded by each client is relatively large; further, when the number of users downloading the update patch package from the server is large during the above time period, the load of the server is increased, and the network traffic resources are greatly occupied, thereby reducing the downloading performance of the patch package.
Disclosure of Invention
An object of the embodiments of the present application is to provide a method, a system, a client and a server for controlling a download of a patch package, so as to solve the problem that a large amount of network resources are occupied when a download flow of the patch package is large.

Taking system configuration performance as an example, suppose that the performance of the client computers is divided into three classes, wherein class a is a computer with high configuration and high operation speed, class B is a computer with medium configuration and the like and general operation speed, and class C is a computer with poor configuration and slow operation speed. For the three types of clients, different download ratios may be set for some patch packages, for example, the IE8 patch package is used, and after the patch package is installed, the security and user experience of the computer can be improved, so that for the type a users, an upgrade ratio of 100% can be set; for the class C user, due to poor configuration, the installation of the patch package may affect the running speed of the computer, so that the upgrade proportion of 0% can be set, namely the client of the class C user does not install the patch package; for the class B user, an upgrade proportion, for example, 50%, may still be set according to the control condition of the network traffic in this embodiment.
The download classification condition may be included in a configuration file generated by the server, or may be stored in the client. That is, the download classification condition may be configured from a configuration file, or may be preset in the client. Those skilled in the art will readily appreciate that the techniques of the embodiments of the present invention may be implemented as software plus a required general purpose hardware platform. Based on such understanding, the technical solutions in the embodiments of the present invention may be essentially or partially implemented in the form of a software product, which may be stored in a storage medium, such as ROM/RAM, magnetic disk, optical disk, etc., and includes several instructions for enabling a computer device (which may be a personal computer, a server, or a network device, etc.) to execute the method according to the embodiments or some parts of the embodiments.
The embodiments in the present specification are described in a progressive manner, and the same and similar parts among the embodiments are referred to each other, and each embodiment focuses on the differences from the other embodiments. In particular, for the system embodiment, since it is substantially similar to the method embodiment, the description is simple, and for the relevant points, reference may be made to the partial description of the method embodiment.

Claims (18)
1. A method for controlling download of a patch package, comprising:
before downloading a patch package, a client acquires a download proportion control parameter of the patch package from a server;
judging whether the client meets preset downloading conditions according to the downloading proportion control parameters, wherein the preset downloading conditions are used for controlling users with preset downloading proportions to download the patch package;
when the preset downloading condition is met, the client can download the patch package from the server;
wherein, the judging whether the client side meets the preset downloading condition according to the downloading proportion control parameter comprises:
the client generates a random number through a random number calculation function;
performing modulo operation on the random number and the download proportion control parameter;
and judging whether the result of the modulus calculation is within a preset proportional interval range, if so, indicating that the preset downloading condition is met, otherwise, indicating that the preset downloading condition is not met.
2. The method of claim 1, further comprising: obtaining at least one of the following information from a server: and outputting the size of a pop-up window for downloading prompt information of the patch package, the position of the pop-up window, the name of the patch package, the function description of the patch package, the download address of the patch package and the scanning condition of the patch package.
3. The method according to claim 1, wherein before obtaining the download ratio control parameter of the patch package from the server, the method further comprises: and the client reports the information whether the patch package needs to be downloaded to the server according to local downloading requirements, and when the patch package needs to be downloaded, the server provides the downloading proportion control parameters to the client.
4. The method according to claim 1, wherein when the preset downloading condition is satisfied, further comprising: and the client reports the information whether the patch package needs to be downloaded to the server according to local downloading requirements, and when the patch package needs to be downloaded, the client downloads the patch package from the server.
5. The method of claim 1, further comprising:
the server prestores a plurality of configuration files containing different download ratio control parameters;
the server selects a configuration file currently provided to the client according to the network traffic.
6. The method of claim 1, further comprising:
pre-storing download classification conditions set for the patch package, wherein each download classification condition corresponds to different download proportion control parameters;
when a client acquires a configuration file of a patch package with download classification conditions from the server, judging download proportion control parameters corresponding to the download classification conditions met by the client;
and providing the configuration file generated according to the download proportion control parameter to the client.
7. The method of claim 6, wherein the download classification condition comprises:
downloading classification conditions set according to the system configuration performance of the client; or,
downloading classification conditions set according to the user level of the client; or,
and the downloading classification condition is set according to the user type of the client.
8. The method of claim 6, wherein the download classification condition is included in a configuration file generated by a server, or wherein the download classification condition is stored at the client.
9. A system for controlling download of a patch package, comprising: a server and a plurality of clients,
the client is used for acquiring a download proportion control parameter of the patch package from a server before downloading the patch package, judging whether the client meets a preset download condition according to the download proportion control parameter, wherein the preset download condition is used for controlling a user with a preset download proportion to download the patch package, and when the preset download condition is met, the patch package can be downloaded from the server;
wherein, the judging whether the client side meets the preset downloading condition according to the downloading proportion control parameter comprises:
the client generates a random number through a random number calculation function;
performing modulo operation on the random number and the download proportion control parameter;
and judging whether the result of the modulus calculation is within a preset proportional interval range, if so, indicating that the preset downloading condition is met, otherwise, indicating that the preset downloading condition is not met.
10. The system of claim 9,
the client is further used for reporting information whether the patch package needs to be downloaded to the server according to local downloading requirements before the download proportion control parameter of the patch package is acquired from the server, and when the patch package needs to be downloaded, the server provides the download proportion control parameter to the client; or, the client is further configured to report information on whether the patch package needs to be downloaded to the server according to a local download requirement when the preset download condition is met, and download the patch package from the server when the patch package needs to be downloaded.
11. The system of claim 9,
the server is used for pre-storing a plurality of configuration files containing different download proportion control parameters and selecting the configuration file currently provided for the client according to the network flow.
12. The system of claim 9,
the server is used for pre-saving download classification conditions set for the patch packages, each download classification condition corresponds to different download proportion control parameters, when the client side obtains the configuration file of the patch packages with the download classification conditions from the server, the download proportion control parameters corresponding to the download classification conditions met by the client side are judged, and the configuration file generated according to the download proportion control parameters is provided for the client side.
13. A client, comprising:
the system comprises an acquisition unit, a processing unit and a processing unit, wherein the acquisition unit is used for acquiring a download proportion control parameter of a patch package from a server before downloading the patch package;
the judging unit is used for judging whether the client side meets a preset downloading condition according to the downloading proportion control parameter, wherein the preset downloading condition is used for controlling a user with a preset downloading proportion to download the patch package;
the downloading unit is used for downloading the patch package from the server by the client when the preset downloading condition is met;
the judging unit judges whether the client meets the preset downloading condition according to the downloading proportion control parameter, and comprises the following steps:
the client generates a random number through a random number calculation function;
performing modulo operation on the random number and the download proportion control parameter;
and judging whether the result of the modulus calculation is within a preset proportional interval range, if so, indicating that the preset downloading condition is met, otherwise, indicating that the preset downloading condition is not met.
14. The client of claim 13, further comprising:
a reporting unit, configured to report, to the server, information on whether the patch package needs to be downloaded according to a local download requirement before the obtaining unit obtains the download proportion control parameter of the patch package, or, when the preset download condition is met, report, to the server, information on whether the patch package needs to be downloaded according to the local download requirement.
15. The client according to claim 13, wherein the determining unit comprises:
a random number generating unit for generating a random number by a random number calculating function;
the module calculation unit is used for carrying out module calculation on the random number and the download proportion control parameter;
and the result judging unit is used for judging whether the result of the modular operation is within a preset proportional interval range, if so, the result shows that the preset downloading condition is met, and otherwise, the result shows that the preset downloading condition is not met.
16. A server, comprising:
the system comprises a providing unit, a processing unit and a processing unit, wherein the providing unit is used for providing a download proportion control parameter for obtaining a patch package to a client before the client downloads the patch package;
the transmission unit is used for transmitting the patch package to a client after receiving a downloading request sent by the client, wherein the downloading request is a downloading request sent by the client after judging that a preset downloading condition is met according to the downloading proportion control parameter, and the preset downloading condition is used for controlling a user with a preset downloading proportion to download the patch package;
wherein, the client judges that the preset download condition is met according to the download proportion control parameter and comprises the following steps:
the client generates a random number through a random number calculation function;
performing modulo operation on the random number and the download proportion control parameter;
and judging whether the result of the modulus calculation is within a preset proportional interval range, if so, indicating that the preset downloading condition is met, otherwise, indicating that the preset downloading condition is not met.
17. The server of claim 16, further comprising:
the first storage unit is used for storing a plurality of configuration files containing different download ratio control parameters in advance;
and the selection unit is used for selecting the configuration file currently provided for the client according to the network flow.
18. The server of claim 16, further comprising:
the second storage unit is used for storing the download classification conditions set for the patch packages in advance, and each download classification condition corresponds to different download proportion control parameters;
the judging unit is used for judging the download proportion control parameters corresponding to the download classification conditions met by the client when the client acquires the configuration file of the patch package with the download classification conditions from the server;
the providing unit is specifically configured to provide the configuration file generated according to the download ratio control parameter to the client.
