Description

Method, equipment and network for network re-registration of internet protocol multimedia subsystem
Technical Field
The invention relates to the technical field of internet protocol Multimedia Subsystem (IMS), in particular to a method, equipment and a network for re-registering an IMS network.
Background
The IMS specified by the third generation partnership project (3GPP) is proposed to support multimedia sessions and other Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) based services in a 3G core network, and its main purpose is to organically combine cellular mobile communication and internet technologies to provide users with a next generation communication network that has quality of service (QoS) guarantees at the telecommunication level and can provide integrated services. It is mainly characterized by that it adopts SIP protocol, and is independent of access and bearing technology.
The 3GPP specifies that a User Equipment (UE) needs to complete a registration procedure in order to use the services provided by the IMS network. The IMS registration procedure and signaling interaction specified by the existing 3GPP specifications are shown in fig. 1, and specifically include:
in step 101, the UE sends a SIP registration request (Register) message for requesting IMS registration or re-registration, and starts a registration process. The Register message includes a UE home network domain name, a UE Private user Identity (IMPI), a UE Public user Identity (IMPU), Session description information, and the like, and reaches a Proxy Call Session Control Function (P-CSCF) of the UE-camped network. Here, it is assumed that the UE-camped network is the home network of the UE.
Step 102, after receiving the Register message, the P-CSCF determines an inquiry Call Session Control Function entity (I-CSCF) of the home domain, and then forwards the Register message to the I-CSCF.
Step 103, after receiving the Register message, the I-CSCF generates a User Authentication Request (UAR) message according to the IMPU and IMPI of the UE carried in the Register message and sends the UAR message to a Home Subscriber Server (HSS).
Step 104, the HSS determines a Serving-Call Session Control Function (S-CSCF) Serving the UE according to the UAR message, and notifies the I-CSCF of the address of the S-CSCF through a User Authentication Answer (UAA) message.
Step 105, the I-CSCF forwards the Register message to the S-CSCF based on the address of the S-CSCF. And the S-CSCF authenticates the UE according to the Register message: if the authentication is successful, go to step 116; if the authentication fails, step 106 is entered. Generally, the first Register message sent by the UE does not include complete authentication (Authorization) information, which results in failure of authentication, and the process proceeds to step 106.
106-108, the S-CSCF acquires an authentication vector through interacting a Multimedia authentication Request/Multimedia authentication Answer (MAR/MAA, Multimedia Auth Request/Multimedia authentication Answer) message with the HSS, and returns an authentication challenge message (401 Unauuthorized message) containing the authentication vector to the I-CSCF.
Step 109-110, the I-CSCF forwards the received authentication challenge message to the P-CSCF, and the P-CSCF forwards the authentication challenge message to the UE;
step 111, the UE generates an authentication challenge response according to the authentication vector in the authentication challenge message, and sends another Register message (a second Register message) for requesting IMS registration or re-registration to the P-CSCF, where the another Register message carries an authentication (Authorization) header field, and includes information of the authentication challenge response.
The further Register message is forwarded to the S-CSCF, steps 112-115, in a manner similar to steps 102-105 described above. The S-CSCF authenticates the UE continuously according to the other Register message, the second Register message contains complete authentication information, the authentication is successful under normal conditions, and then step 116 is entered.
And 116-118, the S-CSCF updates the registration information of the UE and returns a response message of the SIP 200 OK for indicating the successful registration of the UE to the I-CSCF.
Step 119-120, the I-CSCF forwards the received response message to the P-CSCF, and after the P-CSCF receives the response message, the P-CSCF updates the registration information of the UE stored by the P-CSCF and forwards the response message to the UE; and after the UE receives the response message, the registration process is successfully completed.
In the IMS network, when the registration period of the UE is overtime and the IP address of the UE changes due to movement or network reattachment, the registration state of the UE needs to be refreshed by means of the IMS network re-registration process, thereby achieving service provision continuity. The IMS network re-registration procedure specified in the existing 3GPP specification is completely consistent with the initial IMS network registration shown in fig. 1.
It can be seen that the signaling process in the registration flow shown in fig. 1 is very complex, and therefore, the re-registration of the IMS network in the prior art has the disadvantages of long re-registration time, heavy load of IMS devices in the core network, poor user experience, and the like.
Disclosure of Invention
The technical problem to be solved by the invention is to provide a method, equipment and a network for re-registering an IMS network, which simplify the signaling flow in the re-registering process of the IMS network, shorten the time required by re-registration and reduce the load of IMS equipment of a core network.
In order to solve the technical problems, the invention provides the following scheme:
a method of internet protocol multimedia subsystem, IMS, network re-registration, comprising:
step A, a proxy call session control function entity P-CSCF receives a registration request Register message which is sent by user equipment UE of an IMS domain and used for requesting IMS registration or re-registration;
step B, the P-CSCF judges whether the user identification of the UE exists in the registered user information stored locally: if yes, entering the step C;
step C, the P-CSCF determines a service call session control function entity S-CSCF corresponding to the UE according to the locally stored registered user information, and directly forwards the Register message to the S-CSCF; and after receiving the Register message, the S-CSCF authenticates the UE according to the Register message: if the authentication is successful, entering the step D;
step D, the S-CSCF updates the registration information of the UE and returns a response message for indicating the successful registration of the UE to the P-CSCF; and after receiving the response message, the P-CSCF updates the registration information of the UE stored by the P-CSCF, and forwards the response message to the UE.
Preferably, in the above method, in the step C, if the S-CSCF fails to authenticate the UE, step E is performed;
step E, the S-CSCF acquires an authentication vector by interacting a multimedia authentication request and a multimedia authentication response with a Home Subscriber Server (HSS), and returns an authentication challenge message containing the authentication vector to the P-CSCF; the P-CSCF forwards the authentication challenge message to the UE; and the UE generates an authentication challenge response according to the authentication vector in the authentication challenge message, carries the authentication challenge response in another Register message for requesting IMS registration or re-registration and sends the authentication challenge response to the P-CSCF.
Preferably, in the above method, in the step B, if it is determined that the user identifier of the UE does not exist in the locally stored registered user information, the step F is performed;
and F, the P-CSCF forwards the Register message to an inquiring call session control function entity (I-CSCF) according to an IMS registration process specified by a 3GPP specification.
Preferably, in the above method, in the step a, the P-CSCF further determines, according to a predetermined security policy, whether the connection between itself and the UE is a trusted connection: if yes, entering the step B; otherwise, according to IMS Register flow specified by 3GPP, the Register message is forwarded to the I-CSCF.
The invention also provides a method for implementing the network re-registration of the internet protocol multimedia subsystem IMS on the proxy call session control function entity P-CSCF, which comprises the following steps:

and 3, the P-CSCF determines the information of the service call session control function entity S-CSCF corresponding to the UE according to the locally stored registered user information, and directly forwards the Register message to the S-CSCF.
Preferably, in the above method, in step 2, if it is determined that the user identifier of the UE does not exist in the locally stored registered user information, step 4 is performed;
and 4, the P-CSCF forwards the Register message to an I-CSCF (Call Session control function) of an inquiring call session control function entity according to an IMS (IP multimedia subsystem) registration process specified by 3 GPP.
Preferably, in the above method, in step 1, the P-CSCF further determines, according to a predetermined security policy, whether the connection between itself and the UE is a trusted connection: if yes, entering step 2; otherwise, according to IMS Register flow specified by 3GPP, the Register message is forwarded to the I-CSCF.
Preferably, in the above method, after the step 3, the method further includes:

And the invention further judges whether the connection between the UE and the P-CSCF is a trusted connection, and re-registers according to the simplified flow of the invention only when the connection is a trusted connection, thereby ensuring the safety of re-registration.

Detailed Description
The invention provides an optimized IMS network re-registration method aiming at the problems of IMS network re-registration in the prior art, which utilizes the information of S-CSCF of registered UE stored in the registered user information database of P-CSCF to simplify the forwarding process of re-registration (Register) message and the query process of S-CSCF, thereby reducing the signaling interaction in the re-registration process, reducing the load of IMS equipment of a core network and improving the experience of the user on time delay in the re-registration process.
The method for re-registering the IMS network provided by the invention comprises the following steps:
step A, a P-CSCF receives a registration request Register message which is sent by user equipment UE of an IMS domain and used for requesting IMS registration or re-registration;
step B, the P-CSCF judges whether the user identification of the UE exists in the registered user information stored locally: if yes, entering the step C; otherwise, entering step F;
step C, the P-CSCF determines an S-CSCF corresponding to the UE according to the registered user information stored locally, and directly forwards the Register message to the S-CSCF; and after receiving the Register message, the S-CSCF authenticates the UE according to the Register message: if the authentication is successful, entering the step D; otherwise, entering the step E;
step D, the S-CSCF updates the registration information of the UE and returns a response message for indicating the successful registration of the UE to the P-CSCF; after receiving the response message, the P-CSCF updates registration information of the UE stored by the P-CSCF, and forwards the response message to the UE;
step E, the S-CSCF acquires an authentication vector by interacting a multimedia authentication request and a multimedia authentication response with a Home Subscriber Server (HSS), and returns an authentication challenge message containing the authentication vector to the P-CSCF; the P-CSCF forwards the authentication challenge message to the UE; the UE generates an authentication challenge response according to the authentication vector in the authentication challenge message, carries the authentication challenge response in another Register message for requesting IMS registration or re-registration and sends the authentication challenge response to the P-CSCF;
and F, the P-CSCF forwards the Register message to an inquiring call session control function entity (I-CSCF) according to an IMS registration process specified by a 3GPP specification.
In step B, the user identity is an IMPU and/or an IMPI of the UE. The registered user information stores the user identification of the registered UE and the S-CSCF corresponding to the UE.
The invention will be further described by means of specific embodiments with reference to the attached drawings.
After the UE completes the initial registration according to the registration procedure shown in fig. 1, the P-CSCF stores an entry corresponding to the UE in the local registered user information database, where the entry includes the IMPI and IMPU of the UE and the information of the S-CSCF of the UE (i.e., the S-CSCF serving the UE determined in step 104). Therefore, in the re-registration process, the P-CSCF can acquire the S-CSCF of the UE by inquiring the registered user information database, thereby saving unnecessary signaling interaction processes. As shown in fig. 2, the IMS network re-registration method according to this embodiment includes the following steps:
step 201, the UE sends a Register message to the P-CSCF, where the Register message includes the UE home network domain name, the IMPI and IMPU of the UE, and session description information.
The Register message is a SIP request message that may be used to request IMS registration, IMS re-registration, and IMS de-registration. When IMS deregistration is requested, the value of the Expires field in the Register message is equal to 0; when IMS registration or IMS re-registration is requested, the value of the Expires field is not equal to 0. In this embodiment, it is assumed that the UE sends a Register message for requesting IMS registration or re-registration, i.e. the value of the Expires field of the Register message is not equal to 0. And, the UE and the P-CSCF belong to the same IMS domain, i.e. for the P-CSCF, the UE is a non-roaming user.
Step 202, after receiving the Register message sent by the UE in the IMS domain, the P-CSCF parses that the Expires field of the Register message is greater than 0, which indicates that the Register message requests IMS registration or re-registration, and at this time, the P-CSCF determines whether the UE is a non-roaming user: if the UE is a non-roaming user, go to step 203; otherwise step 209 is entered.
Here, whether the UE is a non-roaming user may be determined according to whether the UE home network domain name included in the From header field in the Register message is the same as the domain name in the Request Line (Request-Line); of course, it is also possible to compare whether the UE home network domain name is consistent with the home network domain name of the P-CSCF to determine whether the UE is a non-roaming user.
Step 203, when the UE is a user (i.e. a non-roaming user) of the IMS domain to which the P-CSCF belongs, the P-CSCF extracts the IMPI and IMPU of the UE from the Register message, matches the IMPI and IMPU with a locally stored registered user information database, and determines whether an entry matching the IMPI and IMPU of the UE exists in the registered user information database: if yes, indicating that the Register message is a re-registration request, and then entering step 204; otherwise, step 209 is entered. Here, if the IMPI and IMPU included in an entry are the same as those of the UE, the entry is considered to match the IMPI and IMPU of the UE.
And step 204, when an entry (hereinafter referred to as a first entry for convenience of description) matching the IMPI and the IMPU of the UE exists, the P-CSCF directly forwards the Register message to the first S-CSCF according to information of the S-CSCF (hereinafter referred to as a first S-CSCF for convenience of description) included in the first entry.
Step 205, after receiving the Register message, the first S-CSCF authenticates the UE according to the Register message: if the authentication is successful, go to step 208; otherwise, step 206 is entered. If the Register message sent by the UE in step 201 does not contain complete authentication (Authorization) information, this will result in authentication failure.
Step 206, the S-CSCF acquires the authentication vector by interacting MAR/MAA message with the HSS, and returns an authentication challenge message containing the authentication vector to the P-CSCF; and after receiving the authentication challenge message, the P-CSCF forwards the authentication challenge message to the UE.
Step 207, the UE generates an authentication challenge response according to the authentication vector in the authentication challenge message, and sends another Register message for requesting IMS registration or re-registration to the P-CSCF, where the another Register message carries an authentication (Authorization) header field containing information of the authentication challenge response, and thereafter, the process returns to step 202, and the P-CSCF performs similar processing on the another Register message according to the above process.
Step 208, the first S-CSCF updates the registration information of the UE and returns a response message (SIP 200 OK message) indicating that the UE registration is successful to the P-CSCF; and after receiving the response message, the P-CSCF updates the registration information of the UE stored by the P-CSCF, and forwards the response message to the UE to inform the UE of successful re-registration.
Here, the updating the registration information of the UE specifically includes: a first S-CSCF requests to update S-CSCF information of the UE by sending a Server Assignment Request (SAR) message to an HSS; the HSS returns a Server Assignment Answer (SAA) message to the first S-CSCF, and indicates that the information of the S-CSCF of the UE is updated successfully, wherein the SAA message contains a configuration file (userdata) of the UE, and the first S-CSCF updates the registration information of the UE according to the SAA message, such as updating information of an IP address and an expiration (time out time) of the UE.
Step 209, the P-CSCF forwards the Register message to the I-CSCF according to the IMS registration procedure specified by the 3GPP specification; thereafter, the UE is continuously registered according to the IMS registration procedure specified by the 3GPP specification, and the specific procedure is steps 103 to 118 in fig. 1, which is not described herein again.
In the above step 202, the P-CSCF may further determine whether the connection between itself and the UE is a trusted connection while determining whether the UE is a non-roaming user, and enter step 203 only when the connection is a trusted connection and the UE is a non-roaming user; otherwise step 209 is entered. The method has the advantages that the safety of the IMS network can be improved, and the attack of malicious users on the IMS network can be avoided. Specifically, the P-CSCF may determine, according to a predetermined security policy, whether the connection is a trusted connection. For example, judging whether the address of the Contact header field in the Register message is a preset legal address or not, and judging whether the address is a trusted connection or not; for another example, for a UE that has performed access side authentication during the process of establishing an IP access connection (e.g., a UE that accesses an IMS network through a 2G/3G Packet Switching (PS) domain or a UE that accesses through a fixed hard terminal), the connection with the UE is considered to be a trusted connection.
According to the method for re-registering the IMS network in the present embodiment, the message interaction process in the re-registration process can be simplified as shown in fig. 3. Compared with fig. 1, it can be seen that the present embodiment can save a lot of signaling interaction procedures, including signaling forwarding of I-CSCF and querying of S-CSCF via HSS.
As can be seen from the above, the present embodiment is based on the relevant requirements of the 3GPP specification for the IMS device: the P-CSCF locally stores the IMPI and IMPU of each registered UE and the information of the S-CSCF corresponding to the registered UE; and for non-roaming users, the P-CSCF and the S-CSCF can directly carry out signaling interaction in the same domain. In the embodiment, the registered user information database stored locally is inquired through the P-CSCF, whether the received Register message is a re-registration request or not is judged, and if so, the S-CSCF is directly searched locally and directly forwarded, so that the re-registration process is rapidly completed. The embodiment simplifies the forwarding process of the Register message and the query process of the S-CSCF in the re-registration process, thereby reducing the signaling interaction in the re-registration process and reducing the load of the IMS equipment of the core network. And the experience of the user on time delay in the re-registration process is improved.
Based on the above IMS network re-registration method, this embodiment also provides a P-CSCF and an S-CSCF in the IMS network accordingly.
As shown in fig. 4, the P-CSCF described in this embodiment includes a receiving unit, a determining unit, and a first forwarding unit; wherein,
the receiving unit is used for triggering the judging unit after receiving a registration request Register message which is sent by the UE of the IMS domain and used for requesting IMS registration or re-registration;
the judging unit is configured to judge whether the user identifier of the UE exists in locally stored registered user information: if yes, triggering the first forwarding unit;

and the registration processing unit is used for authenticating the UE according to the Register message, updating the registration information of the UE after the authentication is successful, and returning a response message for indicating the successful registration of the UE to the P-CSCF.

Finally, the present embodiment further provides an IMS network, including:
