Abstract
The invention discloses a method and a system for realizing video communication, which are applied to IP multimedia network subsystems. A visual communication set-top box is first registered in the IP multimedia network subsystem; the number of a fixed telephone is bound with the visual communication set-top box; and a video communication trigger mode is set. The method comprises the following steps that: after establishing audio communication through the fixed telephone, an application server initiates video calling to the visual communication set-top box of a calling party of the video communication according to a video communication request initiated by one party; after the visual communication set-top box of the calling party of the video communication confirms to receive the video communication, the application server initiates video calling to the visual communication set-top box of a called party of the video communication; and after the visual communication set-top box of the called party of the video communication confirms to receive the video communication, the video communication is established. By increasing a field for distinguishing the video calling and the audio calling in an invitation message, the method and the system realize the combination of the visual communication set-top box and the fixed telephone and enrich the functions of the set-top box.
Description
Technical Field
The present invention relates to the field of IMS (IP Multimedia Subsystem), and in particular, to a method and system for implementing video communication.
Background
The IMS is a core network subsystem added after the 3G R5 standard, and the IMS is used as a control system for multimedia calls/sessions, and key protocols of the core of the IMS include a Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) Protocol. SIP based on the design concept of the C/S architecture of the internet is application layer signaling for providing call control for multimedia sessions, and the initiation, establishment and release of sessions can be realized by using SIP, which is favored with excellent features such as simplicity, flexibility and expandability.
At present, the set-top box of IMS IPTV mainly implements digital tv functions and provides some information services, and the functions are relatively single and there is no service integrated with a fixed Telephone, i.e., a PSTN (Public Switched Telephone Network) Telephone.
Disclosure of Invention
In view of the foregoing analysis, the present invention aims to provide a method and a system for implementing video communication, so as to solve the problems of single function of a set-top box and no service converged with a fixed-line telephone in the prior art.

Detailed Description
The core idea of the invention is that a binding relationship is established between the visual communication set-top box and the fixed telephone, and a header field for distinguishing a common call and a pure video call is added in an INVITE message of an SIP (Session Initiation Protocol), thereby realizing the video service fusion of the visual communication set-top box and the fixed telephone, namely a PSTN terminal.
The preferred embodiments of the present invention will now be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings, which form a part hereof, and which together with the embodiments of the invention serve to explain the principles of the invention. For the purpose of clarity and simplicity, a detailed description of known functions and configurations in the devices described herein will be omitted when it may obscure the subject matter of the present invention.
The method according to the embodiment of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to fig. 1 to 3.
As shown in fig. 1, fig. 1 is a schematic view of an application scenario of an embodiment of the present invention, where a user 1 (a calling party) and a user 2 (a called party) both have a fixed phone (referred to as a PTSN terminal 1 and a PTSN terminal 2, respectively herein) and a visual communication set-top box (referred to as a set-top box a and a set-top box B, respectively, having a video function, where the visual communication set-top box is composed of a set-top box and a camera or a device capable of capturing video, and a camera may be embedded in the set-top box later, and the set-top box is further configured with a wireless phone, and the wireless phone may communicate with the set-top box. The PSTN terminal has a number, the set-top box also has a number, the two numbers are bound together on an Application Server (AS), and the video communication triggering mode can be set to be triggered by a calling party of the PSTN terminal or a called party of the PSTN terminal to trigger the service.
As shown in fig. 2, fig. 2 is a schematic flow chart of the method according to the embodiment of the present invention, and based on the scenario shown in fig. 1, the method specifically includes the following steps:
step 201: the PTSN terminal 1 initiates a call to SIP server (session initiation protocol);
step 202: the SIP server is triggered to the AS;
step 203: the AS calls the PTSN terminal 2;
step 204: the PTSN terminal 2 is off-hook, and the call is successfully established;
step 205: after the user 1 and the user 2 are in business, determining to initiate video communication; one party requests the AS to initiate video communication by pressing "##" or other keys, and sends key information to the AS through the core network; in the embodiment of the invention, the PTSN terminal 1 initiates a video communication request to the AS by pressing a "##" or other keys, and the party triggering the service is a video communication calling party;
step 206: after receiving the request for triggering the video communication, the AS initiates a video call to a visual communication set-top box (namely a set-top box A) of a video communication calling party (PSTN terminal 1);
step 207: popping up a video communication interface on a television interface of the set top box A, and prompting a user 1 to prepare for starting video communication; the user 1 presses a answering key to prepare for answering, and the set top box A sends a confirmation message that a calling party answers to the AS according to the request of the user 1;
step 208: the AS initiates a video call to a video communication set-top box (namely a set-top box B) of a video communication called party;
step 209: popping up a video communication interface on a television interface of the set top box B, and informing a user 2 of preparing to start video communication; the user 2 presses the answering key to prepare for answering, the set-top box B sends a confirmation message that the called party answers to the AS according to the request of the user 2, and video communication is established between the calling party and the called party.
As shown in fig. 3, fig. 3 is a SIP signaling flow chart of the method according to the embodiment of the present invention, and based on the scenarios in fig. 1 and fig. 2, the method specifically includes the following steps:

step 306: after receiving the invitation, the set-top box B interacts with the AS platform and responds to and sends a 100Trying temporary response message to the AS platform;
step 307: the set top box B sends a 180Ringing message to the AS platform, and a prompt menu of an incoming call can be popped up on a screen of the set top box B;
step 308: the user presses the 'answer' button, the set-top box sends a 200OK response message (with SDP) to the AS platform, and the capability interaction between the set-top box B and the AS platform is completed at the moment;
step 309: the AS platform receives the response message of the set top box B, which indicates that the interaction of the media capabilities of the set top box A and the set top box B is completed at the moment, and the AS platform sends an ACK (acknowledgement character) message (with SDP) to the set top box A to confirm the successful interaction;
step 310: the AS sends an ACK confirmation message (with SDP) to the set top box B to confirm the successful interaction.
In the embodiment of the present invention, for the signaling flow of voice call setup, and the specific format and explanation of the message, refer to the description in RFC3261 (SIP: Session Initiation Protocol), which is not described herein again.
The system according to the embodiment of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to fig. 4.
As shown in fig. 4, fig. 4 is a schematic structural diagram of a system according to an embodiment of the present invention, which may specifically include: AS and a visual communication set-top box, wherein the AS is provided with a binding module and a video communication module, the visual communication set-top box is also provided with a video communication module,
the binding module binds the two numbers together and sets a video communication triggering mode; the video communication triggering mode can be set as that a calling party of the fixed telephone triggers video communication, and can also be set as that a called party of the fixed telephone triggers video communication service.
After a user establishes voice communication through a fixed telephone, the video communication module arranged in the AS sends an INVITE message to a visual communication set top box of a video communication calling party according to a video communication request initiated by a fixed telephone party; when the video communication calling party visual communication set-top box confirms to start video communication, namely after receiving a response message sent by the calling party visual communication set-top box, a video communication module arranged in the AS sends an INVITE message to the video communication called party visual communication set-top box; and after receiving the response message sent by the visual communication set-top box of the called party, respectively informing the visual communication set-top box of the video communication calling party and the called party of the completion of media capability interaction, and establishing video communication. A call type field of ' P-Asserted-Service ' urn:3gpp: mmtel: video: version1 ' is newly added in the INVITE message, the visual communication set-top box determines whether the call is a video call or a normal audio call by analyzing the content in the field, if the call is a ' video ' character string, the call is a pure video call, and if the call is an ' audio ' character string, the call is a normal audio call.
And the video communication module (both the calling party and the called party) arranged in the visual communication set-top box receives the INVITE message sent by the video communication module arranged in the AS, analyzes the received INVITE message, and sends a response message to the video communication module of the AS when the calling type field is confirmed to be a video call.
The video communication module in the video communication set-top box may specifically include: an analyzing unit and a selecting unit, wherein,
the analyzing unit analyzes the received INVITE message, and triggers the selecting unit when the calling is determined to be a video calling according to the calling type field;
the selection unit can pop up a video communication interface on a television interface of the visual communication set-top box to inform a user of preparing to start video communication, and sends a response message to the video communication module of the application server when the user confirms to start the video communication.
Here, for the specific processing flow of the system according to the embodiment of the present invention, since the method has been described in detail, it is not described herein again.
In summary, embodiments of the present invention provide a method and a system for implementing video communication, because SIP based on the design concept of the C/S structure of the internet is an application layer signaling for providing call control for multimedia sessions, session initiation, establishment and release can be implemented by using SIP, which is favored with excellent features such as simplicity, flexibility and scalability. By utilizing the excellent characteristics of the SIP, the embodiment of the invention adds one header field for distinguishing the common audio call and the video call in the request message of the SIP, and establishes the binding relationship between the visual communication set-top box and the household fixed telephone, thereby realizing the fusion of the set-top box and the PSTN telephone.
Its main advantage has:
the scheme is simple, and the method can be realized only by upgrading software of the existing equipment;
the method is easy to realize, and the network time of the user is not required to be changed;
the video communication set-top box has good compatibility, and no matter what service platform the video communication set-top box is on, the binding of the set-top box and the fixed telephone can be realized as long as an operator opens the service, thereby realizing the video communication service.
