一种长豇豆植物新品种涉及到生物工程领域,Vigna unguiculata subsp.Sesquipedalis(Linn)Verdc.长豇豆(豆角,尺八豇)Yard-long Bean,AsparagusBean,目前全世界的长豇豆种子都是枣红色的,在中国辽宁省新民市公主屯镇何屯村毕春清的长豇豆制种基地中,经过多年的杂交繁育出一种长豇豆新变种,其种子与众不同颜色,产量特别高,商品性特别好,抗旱性特别好,中早熟,其下一代新变种可以搭载航天卫星的种子试验仓上太空诱变后,收回繁育出新的长豇豆新变种,再繁育出长豇豆新品种。
一种长豇豆植物新品种的特征是豆夹长90公分以上,其种子是茶红色。
