Description

固定多媒体设备和移动多媒体设备间转移视频会话的方法
背景技术
越来越多的用户选择性地通过移动设备或固定设备访问视频内容。例如,多媒体移动电话可以选择性地被与固定电视一起用于显示视频内容。
实际中,要强调的是,移动设备使用例如GPRS或3G的特定移动电信协议,所述特定移动电信协议不同于被考虑用于固定设备用途的诸如像互联网协议(IP)的协议。
尽管移动设备允许在移动中访问视频,例如,在公共传输上,它的显示质量一般受它的显示器的尺寸限制。
因此,在移动设备上开始视频会话的用户可能期待在更舒服的固定设备上继续这样的会话,所述固定设备例如在家里可以是允许的。

根据本发明的方法允许在已经存在的移动设备和固定设备之间转移视频内容。实际中,经由至少一个服务器实施这样的转移,所述至少一个服务器标识根据一个协议传输的视频参数,并且根据另一协议向所述转移设备发送这样的视频参数。
而且,所述方法允许转换所述视频参数,以便允许在不同电信网络之间传送它们,不管这些网络可以使用不同通信协议的事实。

根据本发明的第二实施例,单个服务器30被结合特定小应用程序(applets)32和34使用,所述特定小应用程序32和34各自与电视机12和移动电话14相关。
通过这些小应用程序32和34,用户10可以通过要求从所述设备转移所述视频会话来操作这样的转移。为此,转移的要求36被服务器30直接处理,服务器30可以根据移动设备14的网络18协议将这样的要求36作为包含视频参数的会话传送消息处理,以便根据固定设备12的网络24协议在包含相同视频参数的会话传送消息38中转换它。
