Abstract
The invention discloses a method for using electronic checks for business transaction. The method comprises that: a first server with the function of managing the electronic checks receives an issued electronic check which is transmitted by a payment user through a mobile terminal; the first server transmits the issued electronic check to terminal equipment of the payment user for endorsement; and the first server receives the endorsed electronic check which is returned by the payment user and transmits the endorsed electronic check to a second server which is registered by the payment user for expenditure settlement, wherein the second server belongs to a banking system. Therefore, the user can use the electronic check for business transaction at any moment according to the demands of the user without the limitation of the time and place, so that the method provides convenience to the use of the user to a large extent and improves the user experience. The invention simultaneously discloses a corresponding communication device and a corresponding communication system.
Description
Technical Field
The present invention relates to the field of communications and computers, and in particular, to a method, an apparatus, and a system for performing transactions using electronic checks.
Background
In recent years, with the development of socioeconomic, a new transaction mode, namely, electronic cheque, appears. Compared with paper checks, electronic checks have obvious advantages in processing speed, processing cost, safety and the like, and therefore, the electronic check technology has been unprecedented.
Currently, users can only use electronic checks through non-mobile terminals, such as PCs, when conducting transactions. In the transaction process, a payer is connected to a transaction center server through a payment terminal device to confirm the transaction, the transaction center server is connected to a bank account server after confirming the identity of the payer, and sends transaction data and an electronic check using code of the payer to the bank account server, the bank account server generates an electronic check confirming code, sends related information to a collection terminal device of a collection user to confirm, and completes the expense settlement after receiving the confirmation information returned by the collection user.
According to the scheme, the existing electronic check using scheme has the following defects:
1. when the user uses the electronic check to conduct transaction, the related operation can be completed only through the non-mobile terminal. Since the non-mobile terminal has no portability, the place and time for the user to use the electronic check for transaction are limited to a certain extent, thereby causing inconvenience to the user,
2. the electronic check must be generated by a transaction center server belonging to the SP system.
The transaction center server only acts as a channel, and the confirmation code of the electronic check is still generated by the bank account server, so that the complexity of the operation process is increased by adopting the transaction center server.
3. There is no highly secure authentication process for the transaction process.
The confirmation code generated by the bank account server is very simple and is not a very secure key or digital certificate, so that the security of the transaction is greatly reduced by adopting the confirmation code for authentication.

The embodiment of the invention provides a method, a device and a system for transaction by using an electronic check, which are used for enabling a user to pay by using the electronic check payment through a mobile terminal in various commercial transaction processes.

In the embodiment of the invention, a payment user sends an opened electronic check to a first server with an electronic check management function through a mobile terminal, the first server sends the opened electronic check to a terminal device of a collection user for endorsement, and sends the electronic check subjected to endorsement to a second server registered by the collection user for charge settlement when receiving the endorsed electronic check, and the second server belongs to a bank system. Detailed Description
In order to enable a user to pay at any time by using an electronic check in various commercial transactions, in the embodiment, when receiving an electronic check issued by a paying user through a mobile terminal, a first server with an electronic check management function sends the electronic check to a terminal device of a receiving user for endorsement, and after receiving the electronic check returned by the receiving user and subjected to endorsement, sends the electronic check to a second server registered by the receiving user for fee settlement, wherein the second server belongs to a bank system.
Preferred embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings.
Referring to fig. 1, in the present embodiment, a communication system for providing an electronic check service includes: a mobile terminal 10 (payer), an electronic check server 11, a terminal device 12 (payee), a payer bank server 13 and a payee bank server 14.
A mobile terminal 10, configured to send an electronic check issued by a payer to an electronic check server 11, where in this embodiment, the mobile terminal 10 may be any one of mobile functional entities such as a mobile phone, a PDA, a notebook, and the like;
an electronic check server 11 having an electronic check management function for receiving an opened electronic check sent by a payer via a mobile terminal 10 and sending the opened electronic check to a terminal device 12 used by a payee for endorsement;
the terminal device 12 is used for returning the electronic check sent by the electronic check server 11 to the electronic check server 11 after the electronic check is backed; in this embodiment, the terminal device 12 may be any one of functional entities such as a PC, a mobile phone, a PDA, a notebook, and the like;
the electronic check server 11 receives the endorsed electronic check returned by the payee, and then sends the endorsed electronic check to the payee bank server 14 registered by the payee for settlement, wherein the payee bank server 14 belongs to the bank system.
Referring to fig. 2, in the present embodiment, the electronic check server 11 includes a first processing unit 110 and a second processing unit 111, wherein:
a first processing unit 110, configured to receive an opened electronic check sent by a payer through the mobile terminal 10, and send the opened electronic check to the terminal device 12 of a payee for endorsement;
a second processing unit 111, configured to receive the endorsed electronic check returned by the payee, and send the endorsed electronic check to the payee bank server 14 for settlement;
referring to fig. 3A, in the present embodiment, the payer bank server 13 includes a storage unit 130, a communication unit 131, an authentication unit 132, and a processing unit 133, wherein,
a storage unit 130 for storing registration information of the payer;
a communication unit 131 for receiving an electronic check issued by a payer and endorsed by a payee;
an authentication unit 132 for performing authentication processing on the received electronic check according to the registration information of the payer;
and a processing unit 133 for performing information interaction with the payee bank server 14 to complete the fee settlement.
Referring to fig. 3B, in the present embodiment, the payee bank server 14 includes a storage unit 140, a communication unit 141, an authentication unit 142 and a processing unit 143, wherein,
a storage unit 140 for storing registration information of the payee;
a communication unit 141 for receiving an electronic check issued by a payer and endorsed by a payee;
an authentication unit 142, configured to perform authentication processing on the received electronic check according to registration information of the payee;
and the processing unit 143 is used for performing information interaction with the payer bank server 13 to complete the fee settlement.
Based on the above system architecture, the mobile terminal 10 is a mobile phone as an example.
In this embodiment, before using the electronic check service through the mobile phone, a payment user (hereinafter referred to as user 1) needs to first enter a designated bank to open a check deposit account and apply for the mobile phone electronic check service, and then log in the electronic check server 11 to purchase an electronic check by using the mobile phone, that is, purchase an electronic check from the bank registered by the payment user through the electronic check server 11; after the user 1 purchases the electronic check, the purchased electronic check is stored in the electronic check server 11, and the number of the electronic check and the corresponding check password are stored in the mobile phone in a ciphertext form (may be stored in the storage medium of the mobile phone itself, or may be stored in the SIM card in the mobile phone); on the other hand, the electronic check server 11 needs to bind the electronic check purchased by the user 1 with the user identifier set by the user 1, for example, the mobile phone number of the user 1, the identification number of the user 1, and the like. Referring to fig. 4, in this embodiment, a detailed flow of the user 1 applying for the electronic check service through the mobile phone is as follows:
step 400: the user 1 sends a request message for purchasing an electronic check (hereinafter referred to as message 1) to the electronic check server 11 through a mobile phone;
step 401: the electronic check server 11 forwards the message 1 to a bank server 12 (hereinafter referred to as payer bank server 13) used by the banking system in which the user is registered.
Step 402: the payer bank server 13 authenticates the mobile phone used by the user 1 according to the message 1, and generates a corresponding electronic check (hereinafter referred to as electronic check 1) after confirming that the authentication is passed.
Step 403: the payer bank server 13 sends the information about the electronic check 1 to the electronic check server 11; the related information of the electronic check 1 includes the number of the electronic check 1, a check password corresponding to the electronic check 1, an account number registered by the user 1 in the bank, and the like.
Step 404: the electronic check server 11 retains the number of the electronic check 1 and the account number of the user 1, but does not retain the check code corresponding to the electronic check 1.
Step 405: the electronic check server 11 returns the number of the electronic check 1 and the corresponding check password to the mobile phone.
Step 406: the mobile phone stores the number of the electronic check 1 and the corresponding check password in a ciphertext mode.
Through the above operations, when the user 1 opens the electronic check (i.e. uses the electronic check), the electronic check purchased before can be directly downloaded from the electronic check server 11 through the mobile phone and sent to the electronic check server 11 after the electronic check is opened, and referring to fig. 5, the detailed flow of the first method for the user 1 to pay the payee (hereinafter, referred to as user 2) by using the electronic check 1 is as follows:
step 500: the user 1 requests the download of the electronic check 1 purchased previously from the electronic check server 11 through the mobile phone.
Step 501: the electronic check server 11 transmits the electronic check 1 and the corresponding number of the electronic check to the mobile phone of the user 1.
Step 502: the user 1 opens the electronic check 1 through the mobile phone, namely, the payee, the amount of the check, the password of the check and the like are filled in the downloaded electronic check 1.
In practical applications, when the user 1 opens the electronic check 1, the password authentication may be performed locally on the mobile phone, or may be performed by the electronic check server 11 on the network side.
Step 503: the user 1 sends the electronic check 1 after the opening to the electronic check server 11 through the mobile phone.
While sending the electronic check 1, the user 1 may also submit his/her own digitally signed digital certificate to the electronic check server 11 via a mobile phone.
Step 504: the electronic check server 11 receives the electronic check 1 after the electronic check is issued, and then sends the electronic check 1 to the terminal device used by the user 2.
In practical applications, the terminal device used by the user 2 may be a mobile terminal (such as a mobile phone, a PDA, a notebook computer, etc.) or a non-mobile terminal (such as a PC, etc.), and in this embodiment, the user 2 uses the PC as the terminal device to receive the electronic check 1 as an example.
Step 505: the user 2 receives the electronic check 1 issued by the user 1 through the PC, and then endorses the electronic check 1, which is the receipt of the electronic check 1 confirmed by the user 2 and fills in the bill for confirming the receipt of the money in this embodiment.
Step 506: the user 2 digitally signs the filled bill, the digital certificate of the user and the electronic check 1 through the PC, and returns the signed related file to the electronic check server 11.
Step 507: after receiving the electronic check 1 after endorsement returned by the user 2, the electronic check server 11 returns the stub of the electronic check 1 after endorsement to the user 1, and meanwhile, the electronic check server 11 stores the electronic check 1 after endorsement and the corresponding existence locally.
Step 508: the electronic check server 11 transmits the electronic check 1 after the endorsement to the payer bank server 13 registered by the user 1.
Step 509: the payer bank service 13 performs authentication processing on the electronic check 1.
In the present embodiment, the payer bank server 13 may perform the authentication process by storing the data certificate of the user 1 locally, or by obtaining the public key certificate of the user 1 from the certificate bank of the authentication center 16.
Step 510: the electronic check server 11 transmits the electronic check 1 after the endorsement to the payee bank server 14 registered by the user 2.
Step 511: the payee bank server 14 performs authentication processing on the electronic check 1.
Similarly, the payee bank server 14 may perform the authentication process by storing the digital certificate of the user 2 locally or by obtaining the public key certificate of the user 2 from the certificate repository of the certificate authority 16.
Step 512: the payee bank server 14 and the payer bank server 13 together complete the settlement of the fees between banks.
In the above embodiment, the electronic check server 11 may also only send the electronic check 1 after being endorsed to the payee bank server 14, and the payee bank server 14 triggers a charge settlement process with the payer bank server 13, and the steps 500 to 512 are described by taking only "the electronic check server 11 sends the electronic check 1 after being endorsed to the payer bank server 13 and the payee bank server 14 at the same time", as in the following embodiments, and are not described again.
On the other hand, as shown in fig. 5, after receiving the electronic check 1 endorsed by the user 2, the electronic check server 11 may also send the electronic check to the authentication center for authentication, and then send the electronic check to the payee bank server 14, or send the electronic check to the payer bank server 13 and the payee bank server 14 at the same time, so that the authentication processing can be completed at one location, and the operation flow is simplified to a certain extent.
In the process of settlement of the fee, the payer bank server 13 may notify the user 1 again of the fact that the fee is to be deducted from the account by the electronic check server 1 before the final deduction is made, and may execute the deduction operation after the user 1 confirms again. On the other hand, after the settlement of the charge is completed, the payer bank server 13 may notify the user 1 of a message of successful deduction through the electronic check server 11, and the payee bank server 14 may notify the user 2 of successful receipt through the electronic check server 11.
In the above embodiment, in order to make the payee bank server 14 and the payer bank server 13 recognize the electronic check 1 endorsed by the user 2 sent by the electronic check server 11, software upgrade of the bank system is required, or a functional unit for converting the format of the electronic check is added to the payee bank server 14 and the payer bank server 13, which requires a great deal of labor and financial investment. Therefore, in order to reduce the cost of system modification, unlike the above embodiment, when the user 1 uses the electronic check 1 to pay the user 2, the corresponding processing flow can be also performed by the special payment gateway 15.
Referring to fig. 6A, in the present embodiment, a payment gateway 15 and an authentication center 16 are added to a communication system providing an electronic check service, wherein,
a payment gateway 15, configured to receive the electronic check 1 issued by the user 1 and endorsed by the user 2 and sent by the electronic check server 11, send the electronic check 1 to the authentication center 16 for authentication processing, and send the electronic check 1 to the payer bank server 13 and the payee bank server 14, respectively, after the electronic check 1 is confirmed to pass the authentication processing;
and the authentication center 16 is used for performing authentication processing on the received electronic check 1 according to the public keys pre-stored locally by the user 1 and the user 2.
Referring to fig. 6B, in the present embodiment, the payment gateway 15 includes a receiving unit 150, a converting unit 151 and a sending unit 152, wherein,
a receiving unit 150 for receiving an electronic check that the electronic check server 11 opened by the user 1 and endorsed by the user 2;
a conversion unit 151 for converting the received electronic check into an electronic check compliant with the regulations of the banking system;
and a sending unit 152 for sending the converted electronic check to the payer user server 13 and the payee bank server 14 for settlement of the fee.
Based on the above system architecture, referring to fig. 6C, in this embodiment, the detailed flow of the second method for the user 1 to pay the user 2 by using the electronic check 1 is as follows:
step 600-step 607 are the same as steps 500-step 507;
step 608: the electronic check server 11 sends the electronic check 1 endorsed by the user 2 to the payment gateway 15.
Step 609: the payment gateway 15 sends the electronic check 1 to the authentication center 16 for authentication.
Step 610: the authentication center 16 authenticates the electronic check 1 by the public key certificates of the user 1 and the user 2 stored locally, respectively.
Step 611: the authentication center 16 returns the authentication result to the payment gateway 15.
Step 612: the payment gateway 15 confirms that the electronic check 1 is authenticated by the authentication center 16, converts the electronic check 1 into an original check form of the bank, and sends the converted check form to the payee bank server 14.
Step 613: the payment gateway 15 simultaneously sends the electronic cheque 1 to the payer bank server 13.
Step 614: the payee bank server 14 and the payer bank server 13 together complete the settlement of the fees between banks.
Similarly, in the payment settlement process, the user 1 may be notified again by the electronic check server 1 that the payment is to be made in the account before the payer bank server 13 makes the final payment deduction, and the payment deduction operation may be performed after the user 1 has confirmed again. On the other hand, after the settlement of the charge is completed, the payer bank server 13 may notify the user 1 of a message of successful deduction through the electronic check server 11, and the payee bank server 14 may notify the user 2 of successful receipt through the electronic check server 11.
In comparison, in the two embodiments, the technical solutions described in steps 500 to 512 require technical modification of related functional entities in the banking system (such as the payer bank server 13, the payee bank server 14, etc.), whereas the technical solutions described in steps 600 to 614 do not require technical modification of related functional entities in the banking system, and only a payment gateway 15 needs to be separately set, and the payment gateway 15 completes a corresponding operation flow.
On the other hand, in the two embodiments, when the user 1 opens the electronic check, an electronic check 1 may also be directly opened by using the number of the electronic check 1 and the corresponding check password stored locally in the mobile phone and sent to the electronic check server 11, the electronic check server 11 performs verification processing on the electronic check 1 opened by the mobile phone, and after it is confirmed that the electronic check 1 passes verification, the operation flow described in step 504-step 512 or the operation flow described in step 604-step 614 is triggered to complete the charge settlement between the user 1 and the user 2, which is not described herein again.
In addition, after the user 1 consumes at a website providing the e-commerce service (hereinafter, referred to as an e-commerce website), if the user selects to use the e-check to pay, the transaction server of the e-commerce website sends a notification message to the mobile phone used by the user 1 through the e-check server 11, for instructing the user 1 to use the e-check to pay, wherein the notification message needs to carry the amount of the fee to be paid by the user 1, the mobile phone number of the user 1, the relevant information of the payee, and the like; after receiving the notification message sent by the transaction server of the e-commerce website, the user 1 completes the fee settlement through the operation flow of steps 500-512 or the operation flow of steps 600-614, at this time, the payee is the transaction server of the e-commerce website, and details are not repeated here.
In summary, in the embodiment of the present invention, the payer sends the electronic check server 11 that has been issued through the mobile terminal 10, the electronic check server 11 sends the electronic check that has been issued to the terminal device 12 of the payee for endorsement, and sends the electronic check that has been endorsed to the payer bank server 13 and the payee bank server 14 for settlement when receiving the electronic check, so that the user is not limited by time and place any more, and can use the electronic check to perform transactions according to the needs of the user at any time, thereby facilitating the use of the user to a great extent, and improving the user experience.
On the other hand, in the transaction process, each device adopts a mobile phone with high security technology such as a digital signature, a public key or a digital certificate to perform authentication processing, so that the security of the transaction is improved to a great extent.
It will be apparent to those skilled in the art that various changes and modifications may be made in the embodiments of the present invention without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention. Thus, provided that such modifications and variations in the embodiments of the present invention fall within the scope of the claims of the present invention and their equivalents, the embodiments of the present invention are intended to include such modifications and variations as well.
Claims (28)
1. A method of conducting a transaction using an electronic cheque, comprising the steps of:
a first server with an electronic check management function receives an opened electronic check sent by a payment user through a mobile terminal;
the first server sends the opened electronic check to the terminal equipment of a collection user for endorsement;
and the first server receives the electronic check which is returned by the collection user and is endorsed, and sends the electronic check to a second server registered by the collection user for settlement of the cost, wherein the second server belongs to a bank system.
2. The method of claim 1, wherein before the mobile terminal sends the electronic check issued to the first server, the electronic check purchased in advance is downloaded from the first server and issued; or locally generating an electronic check according to the electronic check number and the check password saved when the electronic check is purchased, sending the electronic check to the first server, and starting the electronic check when a confirmation message returned by the first server is received.
3. The method of claim 2, wherein the first server authenticates the mobile terminal upon receiving a request message for downloading the electronic check; or, the generated electronic check uploaded by the mobile terminal is authenticated when being received.
4. The method as claimed in claim 1, wherein the first server, after receiving the electronic check endorsed by the payee, sends a stub of the electronic check to the mobile terminal used by the payer.
5. The method of claim 1, wherein the first server sends the electronic check endorsed by the payee directly to the second server, which forwards the endorsed electronic check to a third server registered by the payer, or wherein the first server sends the electronic check endorsed by the payee to both the second server and the third server; wherein the third server belongs to a banking system.
6. The method of claim 5, wherein the first server sends the electronic check endorsed by the payee to a certification authority for certification before sending the electronic check to the second server.
7. The method of claim 5, wherein the second server and the third server each authenticate the electronic check locally or send the electronic check to an authentication center for authentication.

The method of claim 1, wherein the first server sends the electronic check endorsed by the payee to a payment gateway, the payment gateway sends the electronic check to the second server after converting the electronic check into an electronic check compliant with banking system specifications, the second server forwards the electronic check to a third server registered by the payer, or the payment gateway sends the electronic check to the second server and the third server at the same time; the third server belongs to a bank system.
9. The method of claim 8, wherein the electronic check is sent to a verification center for verification before the payment gateway sends the electronic check.

The method as claimed in any one of claims 1 to 9, wherein, in the course of the settlement of the fee, the third server transmits a notification message indicating that payment is about to be made to the payer through the first server before the third server performs the payment deduction, and performs the payment deduction after receiving a confirmation message returned from the payer through the mobile terminal.
11. The method as claimed in claim 10, wherein the third server transmits a notification message indicating a successful deduction to the payment subscriber through the first server after the settlement of the fee is completed, and the second server transmits a notification message indicating a successful deduction to the collection subscriber through the first server.
12. The method as claimed in claim 10, wherein if the payer transacts with electronic cheque at the e-commerce site, a notification message is sent from the site server of the site to the payer's mobile terminal through the first server to trigger the payment process.
13. A communications apparatus, comprising:
the first processing unit is used for receiving the opened electronic check sent by the payer through the mobile terminal and sending the opened electronic check to the terminal equipment of the payee for endorsement;
and the second processing unit is used for receiving the electronic check which is returned by the collection user and is endorsed, and sending the electronic check to a second server registered by the collection user for carrying out fee settlement, wherein the second server belongs to a bank system.
14. The communications apparatus as claimed in claim 13, wherein the first processing unit authenticates the mobile terminal upon receiving a request message for downloading the electronic check; or, the generated electronic check uploaded by the mobile terminal is authenticated when being received.
15. The communication apparatus according to claim 13 or 14, wherein the second processing unit sends the electronic check endorsed by the payee directly to the second server, which forwards the electronic check to a third server registered by the payer, or the second processing unit sends the electronic check to both the second server and a third server, which belongs to a banking system.
16. The communication apparatus according to claim 15, wherein the second processing unit sends the electronic check endorsed by the payee to the authentication center for authentication before sending the electronic check to the second server.
17. The communication apparatus according to claim 13 or 14, wherein the second processing unit sends the electronic check endorsed by the payee to a payment gateway, which forwards the electronic check to a second server, or both the second server and a third server registered by the payer, the third server belonging to a banking system.
18. A communication device, attributable to a banking system, comprising:
the storage unit is used for storing the registration information of the payee;
a communication unit for receiving an electronic check issued by a payer and endorsed by a payee;
the authentication unit is used for authenticating the received electronic check according to the registration information of the payee;
the processing unit is used for carrying out information interaction with the communication device which stores the registration information of the paying user so as to complete expense settlement; wherein,
the communication device holding the registration information of the payer belongs to a bank system.
19. The communication apparatus according to claim 18, wherein the communication unit receives an electronic check from a first server having an electronic check management function; alternatively, an electronic check is received from a payment gateway.
20. A communications apparatus, comprising:
the receiving unit is used for receiving the electronic check which is issued by the paying user and endorsed by the collecting user and sent by the first server with the electronic check management function;
the conversion unit is used for converting the received electronic check into an electronic check meeting the regulation of a bank system;
and the sending unit is used for sending the converted electronic check to a second server registered by the collection user for settlement of the cost, and the second server belongs to a bank system.
21. The communication apparatus according to claim 20, wherein the sending unit sends the converted electronic check to an authentication center for authentication processing before sending the electronic check to the second server.
22. A communication system, comprising:
a mobile terminal for transmitting an electronic check issued by a payer to a first server;
the first server has an electronic check management function and is used for receiving an opened electronic check sent by a payment user through a mobile terminal and sending the opened electronic check to the terminal equipment of a collection user for endorsement;
the terminal equipment is used for returning the electronic check sent by the first server to the first server after the electronic check is backed;
and after receiving the electronic check which is endorsed and returned by the collection user, the first server sends the electronic check to a second server registered by the collection user for settlement of the cost, wherein the second server belongs to a bank system.
23. The communication system according to claim 22, wherein before the mobile terminal sends the electronic check subjected to the opening to the first server, the electronic check purchased in advance is downloaded from the first server and opened; or locally generating an electronic check according to the electronic check number and the check password saved when the electronic check is purchased, sending the electronic check to the first server, and starting the electronic check when a confirmation message returned by the first server is received.
24. The communication system of claim 22, wherein the first server authenticates the mobile terminal upon receiving a request message for downloading the electronic check; or, the generated electronic check uploaded by the mobile terminal is authenticated when being received.
25. The communication system according to claim 22, 23 or 24, wherein the first server sends the electronic check endorsed by the payee directly to the second server, which forwards the electronic check to a third server registered by the payer, or the first server sends the electronic check to both the second server and the third server; the third server belongs to a bank system.
26. The communication system of claim 25, wherein the first server sends the electronic check endorsed by the payee to a verification center for verification before sending the electronic check to the second server.
27. The communication system of claim 22, 23 or 24, further comprising:
and the payment gateway is used for receiving the electronic check which is sent by the first server and is endorsed by the collection user, converting the electronic check into an electronic check which is in line with the regulation of a bank system, and sending the electronic check to the second server, or simultaneously sending the electronic check to the second server and a third server registered by the payment user, wherein the third server belongs to the bank system.
28. The communication system of claim 27, wherein the payment gateway sends the electronic check to an authentication center for authentication before forwarding the electronic check to the second server.
