Detailed Description
The embodiment of the invention provides a broadcast/multicast method, user equipment, an application server and a broadcast/multicast system, which can realize that the application server in the home network carries out broadcast/multicast service for the user equipment in the visited network by establishing corresponding network bearing in the visited network and the home network.
The following describes embodiments of the present invention in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.
Fig. 1 is a first embodiment of the broadcast/multicast method according to the present invention, and referring to the drawing, the method is based on the process that a user roaming in a visited network registers to the IMS of a user home network providing broadcast/multicast media stream through a Proxy-Call Session Control Function (P-CSCF) in the visited network, and mainly includes:
101, the user sends a registration request message (a type of registration message) to a P-CSCF in the visited network, the registration request message carries broadcast/multicast service information, and the broadcast/multicast service information carries network bearer information provided by the visited network for bearing broadcast/multicast media streams (e.g. network identifier of broadcast/multicast bearer network where the user is located, broadcast/multicast bearer network management entity information, etc., where the broadcast/multicast bearer network management entity may be BM-SC), and may also carry domain name of user home network, access network information of visited network where the user is located, support capability information of the user terminal for broadcast/multicast service, etc., the network bearing information may be an IP address allocated by the visited network for the user, and the like;
102, after receiving the registration request message sent by the user, the P-CSCF sends the registration request message to the IMS of the home network, that is, the P-CSCF sends the registration request message to a Serving-call session Control Function (S-CSCF) in the home network, where the registration request message carries the broadcast/multicast service information mentioned in the 101;
103, continuing the registration process of the user, the S-CSCF sends Cx-Put message supported by the HSS to a Home Subscriber Server (HSS) for user identity authentication;
104, HSS returns response message to the Cx-Put message, such as Cx-Put Resp message or Cx-Pull Resp message, to S-CSCF;
105, the S-CSCF returns a response message, such as a 200OK response message, to the P-CSCF for the registration request message sent by the P-CSCF;
the P-CSCF returns a response message, such as a 200OK response message, to the user for the registration request message sent by the user 106.
Then, the S-CSCF may send the broadcast/multicast service information to the application server, where the broadcast/multicast service information may carry the network bearer information and the support capability information of the user terminal on the broadcast/multicast service, and the application server may initiate a network bearer between the visited network and the home network according to the network bearer information and the support capability information of the user terminal on the broadcast/multicast service, and may reserve a network bearer resource corresponding to the network bearer to send a broadcast/multicast media stream to the user, where the initiation process of the network bearer specifically includes:
and judging whether the current session meets the condition of the network bearer or not according to the network bearer information carried in the broadcast multicast service information and the support capability information of the user terminal to the broadcast/multicast service, and if so, reserving network bearer resources corresponding to the network bearer for the session.
Fig. 2 is a schematic diagram of a second embodiment of the broadcast/multicast method according to the present invention, and referring to the diagram, the method is based on a process of initiating a session by roaming a user in a visited network, and the case of using an MBMS network is illustrated in fig. 2 but is not limited thereto, and mainly includes:
an MBMS network in an access network sends, to a user, network bearer information provided by the access network for bearing a broadcast/multicast media stream, where the network bearer information may be an IP address allocated by the access network for the user, and the like;
202, after receiving the network bearer information, the user sends a session message, such as an INVITE message, to a participating application Server in the user's home network, where the INVITE message carries broadcast/multicast service information, and the broadcast/multicast service information carries network bearer information (such as a network identifier of a broadcast/multicast bearer network where the user is located, broadcast/multicast bearer network management entity information, and the like) provided by the visited network and used for bearing a broadcast/multicast media stream, and may also carry a domain name of the user's home network, access network information of a visited network where the user is located, and support capability information of the user terminal for the broadcast/multicast service, and the participating application Server is an application Server related to the user, such as a mobile phone talkback Server (Push talk over Cellular Server, PoC Server) participating function (PoC Server performingperting function) section;
it should be noted that the visited network where the user roams may be a Broadcast/multicast network provided by a mobile operator, where the Broadcast/multicast network may be an MBMS network, a Broadcast/multicast service (Broadcast/multicast service BCMCS) network or a Digital television Broadcast (DVB) network, or may be other networks, such as a Broadcast television network, and therefore the network bearer information may be network bearer information corresponding to the above Broadcast/multicast networks;
203, after receiving the INVITE message, the participating application Server sends the INVITE message to a control application Server in the user home network, where the control application Server is an application Server related to session control, such as a PoC Server Controlling function (PoC Server Performing Controlling function) part;
it should be noted that the control application server may also be an independent network element separately existing outside the home network;
204, after receiving the INVITE message, the control application server parses out broadcast/multicast service information carried in the INVITE message, where the broadcast/multicast service information may carry the network bearer information and the support capability information of the user terminal for the broadcast/multicast service, and then may determine whether the current session meets the condition of the network bearer according to the network bearer information and the support capability information of the user terminal for the broadcast/multicast service, and in addition, the control application server may also suggest or determine availability of network bearer resources corresponding to the network bearer information;
it should be noted that this step 204 can also be performed between the following steps 206 and 207;
205, continuing the above session flow, controlling the application server to send an INVITE message to the called party, specifically, in order to save message amount, the broadcast/multicast service information may not be carried in the INVITE message;
206, controlling the application server to receive a response message returned by the called party, such as a 200OK response message;
207, when it is determined in the step 204 that the current session meets the network bearer condition, controlling the application server to reserve a network bearer resource corresponding to the network bearer information for the current session, specifically, controlling the application server to initiate reservation of the network bearer resource to a participating application server and an MBMS network in an visited network according to the network bearer information, or controlling the application server to trigger a broadcast/multicast bearer network management entity in the home network (e.g., BM-SC in the MBMS network in the home network) to initiate reservation of the network bearer resource, for example, the BM-SC sends a network bearer resource reservation request to a network element corresponding to the network bearer in the visited network by using a Roaming Agreement (RA) between operators;
208, continuing the session flow, and controlling the application server to send a 200OK response message to the participating application server;
the participating application server returns a 200OK response message to the user in the visited network 209.
Fig. 3 is a schematic diagram of a third embodiment of the broadcast/multicast method of the present invention, and with reference to the figure, the method is mainly implemented by means of settings, and mainly includes:
301, an MBMS network in an access network sends, to a user, network bearer information provided by the access network for bearing a broadcast/multicast media stream, where the network bearer information may be an IP address allocated by the access network for the user, and the like;
302, after receiving the network bearer information, a user sends a service setting request message (one kind of service setting message) to a participating application server in a user home network, such as a Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) Publish (Publish) message, where the service setting request message carries broadcast/multicast service information, and the broadcast/multicast service information carries network bearer information received by the user;
303, after receiving the SIP Publish message carrying the network bearer information, the participating application server returns a 200OK response message to the user, and the participating application server analyzes and stores the network bearer information for session establishment and use related to the user, where the network bearer information may be updated or set with an effective condition (when the effective condition is not satisfied, the network bearer information is invalid);
304, the user sends a session message, such as an INVITE message, to the participating application server, where the INVITE message may carry information of the support capability of the user terminal to the broadcast/multicast service, and may also carry confirmation information that the user decides whether to initiate the broadcast/multicast service and use the network bearer of the broadcast/multicast service, etc.;
305, after receiving the INVITE message, the participating application server parses the information carried in the message, such as one or a combination of multiple of the support capability information and the confirmation information, and determines whether the current session meets the network bearing condition according to the parsed information and the previously stored network bearing information;
306, continuing the above session flow, the participating application server sending INVITE message to the controlling application server;
307, controlling the application server to continue processing the INVITE message, and sending the INVITE message to the called party;
308, controlling the application server to receive a 200OK response message returned by the called party;
309, controlling the application server to send 200OK response message to the participating application server;
310, when it is determined in the step 305 that the current session meets the condition of network bearer, the participating application server reserves a network bearer resource corresponding to the network bearer for the current session, specifically, the participating application server may initiate reservation of the network bearer resource to an MBMS network in a visited network, or the participating application server triggers a broadcast/multicast bearer network management entity (e.g., BM-SC in the MBMS network in the home network) in the home network to initiate reservation of the network bearer resource, for example, the BM-SC sends a network bearer resource reservation request to a network element corresponding to the network bearer in the visited network by using an RA between operators;
the participating application server returns a 200OK response message to the user in the visited network 311.
Based on the broadcast/multicast method in the embodiment of the present invention as shown in fig. 1, fig. 2, or fig. 3, after the network bearer resource is reserved, the following process can be performed, where the process is a process of sending broadcast/multicast service information using an IP address:
when the visited network and the home network use the broadcast/multicast IP addresses which are planned in a unified manner, and the network bearing information is the IP address of the visited network where the user roams currently, at this time, an application server (such as a participation server providing a broadcast/multicast media stream) directly sends the broadcast/multicast media stream to the IP address (namely, the user) through a network bearing resource (IP network bearing resource) corresponding to the IP address, and because the visited network and the home network use the broadcast/multicast IP addresses which are planned in a unified manner, the broadcast/multicast media stream can be sent to the IP address according to an IP routing manner; the visited Network and the home Network use uniformly planned broadcast/multicast IP addresses, for example, a Virtual Private Network (VPN) corresponding to the visited Network and a VPN corresponding to the home Network are planned by uniform IP addresses, and a Network element in the visited Network and a Network element in the home Network can directly communicate information in an IP routing manner;
when the visited network and the home network do not use the uniformly planned broadcast/multicast IP address, and the network bearer information is a first IP address of the visited network where the user is currently roaming, the application server originating the network bearer, e.g. a participating server providing the broadcast/multicast media stream, sends the broadcast/multicast media stream to the first IP address, but is now limited to IP routing within the home network, then, a network element (e.g. an MBMS network element in a visited network) receiving the broadcast/multicast media stream with the first IP address translates the first IP address into a second IP address used by the user in the network bearer, and sending the broadcast/multicast media stream to the second IP address (i.e. the user in the visited network) through the network bearer resource corresponding to the second IP address;
as an implementation manner, the broadcast/multicast method according to the embodiment of the present invention may further include a process that sends broadcast/multicast service information using a set forwarding device:
when a content forwarding entity is arranged between the visited network and the home network (the content forwarding entity or part of the content forwarding entity belongs to the visited network/home network, or all the content forwarding entity belongs to the visited network/home network), the application server sends the broadcast/multicast media stream to the content forwarding entity, the content forwarding entity sends the received broadcast/multicast media stream to a broadcast/multicast bearer network management entity (such as BM-SC) in the visited network, and the broadcast/multicast bearer network management entity sends the broadcast/multicast service information to the user;
for another example, network elements such as BM-SC are already set in both the existing visited network and home network, the embodiment of the present invention makes BM-SC complete the function of relaying broadcast/multicast media stream as a forwarding device by extending the interface of BM-SC, specifically, an application server initiating network bearer sends broadcast/multicast media stream to BM-SC in home network, and BM-SC in home network sends the broadcast/multicast media stream to BM-SC in visited network through the extended interface between BM-SC in visited network, and then BM-SC in visited network can send the broadcast/multicast media stream to the user in the visited network where roaming is located, when BM-SC in home network needs to verify user identity in roaming situation, this can be done by information interaction of the BM-SC in the visited network with the BM-SC in the home network.
As an implementation manner, the Broadcast/multicast method according to the embodiment of the present invention may further include a procedure that implements sending a Broadcast/multicast media stream in a Broadcast (BCAST) service architecture of an Open Mobile Alliance (OMA):
the function of the second layer in the OMA BCAST service architecture, such as user identity management, service network, adaptation of network bearer of broadcast/multicast media stream, and network bearer of roaming user using broadcast/multicast media stream, etc., an application Server (such as PoC Server) providing broadcast/multicast service in the home network may send broadcast/multicast media stream to the second layer in the OMA BCAST service architecture through an interface, and at the same time, may also perform user identity authentication and reservation of network bearer resources with the second layer in the OMA BCAST service architecture through an interface, and the second layer in the OMA BCAST service architecture may send the received broadcast/multicast media stream to the user.
Accordingly, the following describes a broadcast/multicast system according to an embodiment of the present invention, and also describes a user equipment and an application server according to an embodiment of the present invention.
