Description

干涉颜料混合物
本发明涉及干涉颜料混合物,其中所述混合物包含至少一种干涉颜料A和干涉颜料B,其中A包含基材和含有金属铁的涂层,B包含基材和含有金属锡和另外至少一种金属氧化物的涂层,涉及其在化妆品、表面涂料、油墨、塑料、薄膜、安全印刷、文件和身份文书中的安全特征中的用途,用于种子着色、食品着色、激光标记或药剂包衣的用途,和用于制备颜料组合物和干制剂的用途,并涉及包含本发明的混合物的化妆品、表面涂料、油墨、塑料、薄膜、文件和身份文书、种子、食品或药剂包衣、颜料组合物和干制剂。
干涉颜料混合物对本领域技术人员来说是已知的,且发现于例如在汽车末道漆领域中的各种表面涂料的配方中。
干涉颜料,和因此还有这些颜料的混合物,在表面涂料应用中通常不显示所希望的遮盖力,特别是如果它们基于半透明或透明的基材例如云母、SiO2或Al2O3时。为了确保足够的遮盖力,通常向颜料混合物中加入炭黑。然而,炭黑的混合具有缺点:由于炭黑的遮盖力非常强,只能困难地计量加入炭黑。只要稍稍过量就会导致遮盖力的显著增加,由此导致为了达到希望的色彩印象,施涂表面涂层的基材与所期的设计的结合更加困难,即便不是完全不可能。因此只能很困难地控制对待施涂的表面涂层预定遮盖力的建立。
因此,本发明目的是提供混合物,特别地用于表面涂层应用的混合物,其允许建立预定的遮盖力并同时显示吸引人的光学效果。
此目的通过本发明的混合物来实现。本发明因此涉及干涉颜料混合物,其中所述混合物包含至少一种包含基材和含有金属铁的涂层的干涉颜料A,和包含基材和含有金属锡和另外至少一种金属氧化物的涂层的干涉颜料B。
本发明的混合物基于下述事实是突出的,例如表面涂层的遮盖力能够很好地控制,即能更简单和更精确地建立所希望的光学效果,或甚至能够完全只通过包含基材,例如通过包含制品的色彩印象、或预先施涂的遮盖层来实现。此外,现已令人吃惊地发现,与包含炭黑的混合物相比,本发明的混合物具有特别好的遮盖力角度依赖性。因此,与以更倾斜的角度来看时相比,以平角来看涂有本发明的混合物的表面时,可以观察到更大的透明度。特别是在例如用于汽车领域中的三涂层末道漆的情况下,这导致了特别吸引人的效果。本发明的混合物基于下述事实而更加突出,为了在应用体系中提供期望的效果,它们做到完全不需要炭黑或与常规应用相比需要加入非常少的炭黑。因为炭黑的加入总是关系到干涉颜料的光泽损失,使用本发明的混合物能够实现高光泽颜色效果,其同时具有高的遮盖力。
由于上述优点,本发明的颜料混合物可用于各种领域。本发明因此还涉及该颜料混合物在化妆品、表面涂料、油墨、塑料、薄膜、安全印刷、文件和身份文书中的安全特征、种子着色、食品着色、激光标记或药剂包衣中的用途,和用于制备颜料组合物和干制剂的用途,并涉及包含本发明的混合物的化妆品、表面涂料、油墨、塑料、薄膜、文件和身份文书、种子、食品或药剂包衣、颜料组合物和干制剂。
在本发明的颜料混合物中,为了达到上述效果,将包含基材和含有金属铁的涂层的干涉颜料和包含基材和含有金属锡和另外至少一种金属氧化物的涂层的干涉颜料彼此混合。干涉颜料A与干涉颜料B的比例可以与特定的要求相匹配并且通常为99∶1-1∶99。干涉颜料A与干涉颜料B的比例优选为10∶1-0.5∶1。这些优选的混合物是特别有利的,因为取决于所要达到的应用性质,它们表现出最佳的光泽、遮盖力和遮盖力角度依赖性。
原则上,所述干涉颜料A和B可具有任何想的到的形状,但它们优选是薄片状的。干涉颜料的尺寸本身是不重要的。薄片状的干涉颜料A和B通常具有0.05-5μm,特别是0.1-4.5μm的厚度。所述干涉颜料在长度和宽度上的尺寸可为1-250μm,优选为2-200μm和非常特别优选为2-100μm。基材的尺寸可以与具体应用的要求相匹配。

所述干涉颜料A和B的基材是彼此独立的,并可包含合成的或天然的云母、层状硅酸盐、玻璃、硼硅酸盐、SiO2、Al2O3、TiO2、石墨和/或BiOCl。这意味着所述干涉颜料A和B可基于不同的基材。
在本发明另一个实施方案中,包含金属氧化物、金属氧化物水合物、金属低价氧化物、金属、金属氟化物、金属氮化物、金属氧氮化物和/或它们的混合物的一层或多层可存在于在本发明的混合物中使用的干涉颜料A和B中含有金属铁的涂层和/或在含有金属锡和另外至少一种金属氧化物的涂层与基材之间。
所述金属氧化物、金属氧化物水合物、金属低价氧化物、金属、金属氟化物、金属氮化物或金属氧氮化物层或它们的混合物可具有低折射指数(折射指数<1.8)或高折射指数(折射指数≥1.8)。适合的金属氧化物和金属氧化物水合物是用作层的所有金属氧化物或金属氧化物水合物,例如氧化铝、氧化铝水合物、氧化铁、氧化锡、氧化铈、氧化锌、氧化锆、氧化铬、氧化钛,特别是二氧化钛、氧化钛水合物和它们的混合物,例如钛铁矿或铁板钛矿。可以使用的金属低价氧化物例如低价氧化钛。适合的金属例如为铁、铬、铝、镍、银、金、钛、铜或合金,和适合的金属氟化物是例如氟化镁。可以使用的金属氮化物或金属氧氮化物是例如金属钛、锆和/或钽的氮化物或氧氮化物。金属氧化物、金属、金属氟化物和/或金属氧化物水合物层和非常特别优选的金属氧化物和/或金属氧化物水合物层特别优选地应用于基材上。也可存在包含高和低折射指数的金属氧化物、金属氧化物水合物、金属或金属氟化物层的多层结构,优选交替具有具有高和低折射指数的层。
特别适合的高折射指数材料为,例如,TiO2、ZrO2、ZnO、SnO2和/或它们的混合物。特别优选TiO2。这些层的厚度在每种情况下为约3-300nm和优选为20-200nm。
特别适合的低折射指数材料为,例如,SiO2、SiO(OH)2、Al2O3、AlO(OH)、B2O3、MgF2和/或它们的混合物。特别优选SiO2。这些材料的单个层的厚度为约3-300nm,优选厚度大于20nm且至多200nm。
总之,应该选择额外的层的材料且根据层材料设定它们的层厚,以使所述干涉颜料A和B保持半透明。
在干涉颜料A中,向所述基材上提供包含金属铁的含铁涂层,所述涂层用作外部的、光学活性层。所述含铁涂层的层厚为1-300nm,优选为1-100nm。金属铁在所述含铁涂层中的比例基于所述含铁涂层为10-100wt%,优选为30-99wt%,和特别为60-85wt%。非常特别优选金属铁与FeO和/或Fe3O4一起存在于所述含铁涂层中。此外,其它简单的或复杂的金属氧化物,例如TiO2,钛铁矿或铁板钛矿,也可存在于所述含铁涂层中。使涂有含氧化铁涂层的基材在包含氮气和氢气的还原气体混合物中反应生成金属铁,由此来得到这种类型的颜料。这能够提供包含金属铁的含铁涂层。
在干涉颜料B中,向所述基材提供含金属锡和另外至少一种金属氧化物的涂层,所述涂层用作外部的、光学活性层。所述含金属锡和另外至少一种金属氧化物的涂层的层厚为1-300nm,优选1-100nm。金属锡在该涂层中的比例基于该涂层为0.01-50wt%,优选为0.05-20wt%,和特别为0.1-10wt%。适合用作另外至少一种金属氧化物的是氧化锡,氧化钛,氧化锆和氧化锌。
非常特别优选金属锡与作为另外的金属氧化物的氧化钛一起存在于所述涂层中。此外,其它简单的或复杂的金属氧化物,例如钛铁矿或铁板钛矿,也可存在于所述含锡涂层中。
使涂有含二氧化锡和任选的另外至少一种其它金属氧化物的涂层的基材在包含氮气和氢气的还原气体混合物中反应生成金属锡,可由此来得到这种类型的颜料。这能够提供包含金属锡和另外至少一种金属氧化物的涂层
用于制备所述干涉颜料A和B所要采用的包含氮气和氢气的还原气体混合物具有的氢气比例为2.5-25体积%,特别为4-10体积%,和非常特别优选为5-8体积%。
含氧化铁的涂层或含二氧化锡和任选的另外至少一种其它金属氧化物的涂层的还原反应在400-1200℃的温度下进行,优选500-1000℃和特别优选550-900℃。煅烧持续时间为15-240分钟,优选30-120分钟和特别是30-90分钟。
在本发明的另一个实施方案中,此外可向所述干涉颜料A和B提供另外的有机涂层作为外层。在例如:EP0 632 109、US 5,759,255、DE 43 17 019、DE39 29 423、DE 32 35 017、EP 0 492 223、EP 0 342 533、EP 0 268 918、EP0 141 174、EP 0 764 191、WO98/13426或EP 0 465 805中可发现这种类型的涂层的实例,在此将其公开的内容引入以作参考。
除了已经提及的改进的光学性质以外,含有这种有机涂层例如包含有机硅烷或有机钛酸酯或有机锆酸酯的干涉颜料,还显示出对气候影响例如湿气和光的增加的稳定性,这对于工业涂料和汽车领域是特别有价值的。施涂所述有机涂层的工艺步骤可直接在颜料制备步骤后进行,或独立地进行。这里所施涂的物质的比例仅占整个颜料的0.1-5wt%,优选0.5-3wt%。
通过混合所述干涉颜料A和B来制备本发明的颜料混合物,其中所述混合可以全部以本领域技术人员已知的方式进行,例如通过简单搅拌成为应用体系。颜料的复合研磨和分散不是必须的。
由于它们有利的性质,本发明的颜料混合物适合于宽范围的应用。因此,本发明也涉及本发明的颜料混合物在化妆品、表面涂料、油墨、塑料、薄膜、安全印刷、文件和身份文书中的安全特征中的用途,用于种子着色、食品着色、激光标记或药剂包衣的用途,和用于制备颜料组合物和干制剂的用途。
在化妆品的情况下,本发明的颜料混合物特别适合于生产装饰性化妆品,例如指甲油,着色粉,唇膏或眼影。本发明的颜料混合物当然还可以在制剂中与所有类型的化妆品原材料和助剂混合。这些尤其包括油、脂肪、蜡、成膜剂、防腐剂和一般决定应用性质的助剂,所述助剂例如增稠剂和流变添加剂,例如膨润土、锂蒙脱石、二氧化硅、硅酸钙、明胶、高分子量碳水化合物和/或表面活性助剂等。包含本发明的颜料混合物的制剂可属于亲脂性、亲水性或疏水性类型。在具有离散的水相和非水相的多相制剂中,根据本发明的粒子在每种情况下可以仅在两相之一中存在或也同时在两相中分布。
所述含水制剂的pH值可以为1-14,优选2-11,和特别优选5-8。对本发明的颜料混合物在制剂中的浓度没有限制。取决于应用,它们可以在0.001(清洗掉的产品,例如淋浴凝胶)和99%(例如用于特定应用的光泽-效果制品)之间。本发明的颜料混合物还另外可以与化妆品活性化合物混合。适合的活性化合物是,例如驱虫剂、UV A/BC防护过滤剂(例如OMC、B3、MBC)、抗老化活性化合物、维生素及其衍生物(例如维生素A、C、E等)、自晒黑剂(尤其例如DHA、赤藓酮糖)和其它化妆品活性化合物,例如红没药醇、LPO、ectoin、余甘子(emblica)、尿囊素、生物类黄酮和它们的衍生物。
在所述颜料混合物用于表面涂料和油墨的情况下,本领域技术人员已知的所有应用领域都是可能的,例如粉末涂料、汽车油漆、用于凹版印刷、平版印刷、丝网印刷或苯胺印刷的印刷油墨和用于室外应用的表面涂料。所述表面涂料和油墨在这里可以是例如辐射固化性的、物理干燥性的或化学固化性的。为了制备印刷油墨多或液体涂料,多种粘合剂是适合的例如基于丙烯酸酯、甲基丙烯酸酯、聚酯、聚氨酯、硝基纤维素、乙基纤维素、聚酰胺、聚丁酸乙烯酯、酚醛树脂、马来酸类树脂、淀粉或聚乙烯醇、氨基树脂、醇酸树脂、环氧树脂、聚四氟乙烯、聚偏二氟乙烯、聚氯乙烯或它们的混合物,特别是水溶等级的。所述表面涂料可以是粉末涂料或水基或溶剂基涂料,其中涂料组分的选择属于本领域技术人员的公知常识。用于粉末涂料的通用聚合物粘合剂是,例如聚酯、环氧化物、聚氨酯、丙烯酸酯或它们的混合物。
本发明的颜料混合物原则上还可与任何类型的其它着色剂或填料一起用于所述制剂中。
此外,本发明的颜料混合物可用于含颜料的薄膜和塑料中,因此,例如用于农用薄膜、礼品用箔、塑料容器和用于本领域技术人员已知的所有应用的模塑件中。用于掺入本发明的颜料混合物的适合的塑料是所有的普通塑料,例如热固性塑料或热塑性塑料。对潜在应用和可以使用的塑料、加工方法和添加剂的描述例如在RD 472005中或在R.Glausch,M.Kieser,R.Maisch,G.Pfaff,J.Weitzel,Perlglanzpigmente[珠光颜料],Curt R.Vincentz Verlag,1996,83及其后中有述,在此将这些公开的内容引入以作参考。
此外,本发明的颜料混合物还适合用于安全印刷中和用于与安全相关的特征中,例如,防伪卡和识别文书,例如门票,个人身份证,钞票,支票和支票卡,和用于其它防伪文件中。在农业领域中,除在食品领域中用于食品着色外,所述颜料混合物可用来给种子和其它原材料着色。本发明的颜料混合物可同样用于将药剂,例如片剂或糖衣丸中的包衣着色。
所有已知的热塑性塑料,例如在Ullmann,第15卷,第457及以下各页中,Verlag VCH中所述的,可用于使用本发明的混合物来激光标记。适合的塑料为,例如聚乙烯、聚丙烯、聚酰胺、聚酯、聚酯-酯、聚醚-酯、聚苯醚、聚缩醛、聚对苯二甲酸丁二醇酯、聚丙烯酸甲酯、聚乙酸乙烯酯、聚苯乙烯、丙烯腈-丁二烯-苯乙烯、丙烯腈-苯乙烯-丙烯酸酯、聚碳酸酯、聚醚砜、聚醚酮和它们的共聚物和/或混合物。
本发明的混合物可以通过混合塑料颗粒与混合物然后在热作用下成型而掺入热塑性塑料中。在所述混合物的掺入期间,可将本领域技术人员已知的粘合剂、在工作条件下对温度稳定的可与有机聚合物相容的溶剂、稳定剂和/或表面活性剂加入到塑料颗粒中。一般地通过最初将塑料颗粒引入到适合的混合器中,用任何添加剂润湿它们,然后添加并混入本发明的混合物来制备含颜料的塑料颗粒。以此方式获得的混合物可随后在挤出机或注塑机中直接加工。随后使用适合的辐射来进行标记。
在标记期间,优选使用高能辐射,波长通常在157-10600nm,特别在300-10600nm。这里可提及的例子为CO2激光(10600nm)、Nd:YAG激光(1064或532nm)或脉冲UV激光(受激准分子激光)。受激准分子激光具有下述波长:F2受激准分子激光(157nm),ArF受激准分子激光(193nm),KrCl受激准分子激光(222nm),KrF受激准分子激光(248nm),XeCl受激准分子激光(308nm),XeF受激准分子激光(351nm),具有355nm(三倍频)或265nm(四倍频)波长的多倍频Nd:YAG激光。特别优选使用Nd:YAG激光(1064或532nm)和CO2激光。所采用的激光的能量密度通常为0.3mJ/cm2-50J/cm2,优选为0.3mJ/cm2-10J/cm2
通过将试样放入脉冲激光,优选CO2或Nd:YAG激光的光路中,进行激光标记。而且,例如经由掩模技术,使用受激准分子激光的标记也是可能的。然而,也可以使用其它常规类型的激光来实现期望的结果,其中所述激光的波长处于所使用的激光吸收物质的高吸收范围内。通过激光和所使用的塑料体系或表面涂层体系的辐射时间(或在脉冲激光的情况下脉冲的数目)和辐射强度来决定所得到的标记。所用的激光的强度取决于具体的应用,并且易于在每种情况下由本领域技术人员确定。
在脉冲激光的应用中,脉冲频率通常为1-30kHz。在本发明的方法中可以采用的相应激光是可商购得到的。
本发明的混合物可用于所有以上提及的塑料的激光标记。这样得到的着色塑料可在电器、电子和机动车工业中用作模制品。激光标记的其它重要应用领域是用在身份证和用于动物个体标签的塑料标志中。在激光标记应用的情况下,干涉颜料在塑料中的比例为0.01-10wt%,优选为0.05-5wt%,和特别为0.1-3wt%。由本发明的颜料着色的塑料所组成的包装的标签和标记、电线、键帽、在供热、通风和冷却领域中的装饰带和功能部件或开关、插头、控制杆和把手,可以借助于激光来实现,甚至在难以接近的地方。该标记基于下述事实是突出的,它们是抗卷曲和抗刮擦的,在随后的灭菌加工过程中是稳定的,并且在标记过程中能够以卫生干净的方式加以应用。
在以上提到的应用领域中,本发明的颜料混合物同样适合用于与所有已知的有机或无机染料和/或颜料共混。有机颜料和染料是,例如,单偶氮颜料、双偶氮颜料、多环颜料、阳离子型染料、阴离子型染料或非离子型染料。无机染料和颜料是,例如,白色颜料、彩色颜料、黑色颜料或效果颜料。适合的效果颜料的实例为金属效果颜料、珠光颜料或干涉颜料,其通常为基于单或多涂层的基于云母、玻璃、Al2O3、Fe2O3、SiO2等的薄片。所述颜料的结构和具体性质的实例例如在RD 471001或RD 472005中给出,在此将其公开的内容引入本发明以作参考。此外,另外适合与本发明的混合物共混的其它着色料是发光染料和/或颜料和全息颜料或LCP(液晶聚合物)。本发明的颜料混合物能够与可商购得到的颜料和填料按任意比例混合。
可提及的填料为是,例如,天然的和合成的云母、尼龙粉末、纯的或填充的蜜胺树脂,滑石,玻璃,高岭土,铝、镁、钙、锌的氧化物或氢氧化物,BiOCl,硫酸钡,硫酸钙,碳酸钙,碳酸镁,炭黑,和这些物质的物理或化学的结合物。对于所述填料的颗粒形状没有限制。例如根据需要它可以为薄片状、球形或针状。
本发明的颜料混合物还适合于制备可流动的颜料组合物和干制剂,所述颜料组合物和干制剂包含一种或多种本发明的颗粒、粘合剂和任选一种或多种添加剂。干制剂还意味着包含0-8wt%,优选2-8wt%,特别是3-6wt%的水和/或溶剂或溶剂混合物的制剂。所述干制剂优选为小球、颗粒、碎片、香肠状或煤饼形式并具有0.2-80mm的颗粒尺寸。所述干制剂特别用于制备印刷油墨和在化妆品制剂中使用。
本发明也涉及包含本发明的颜料混合物的化妆品、表面涂料、油墨、塑料、薄膜、文件和身份文书、种子、食品或药剂包衣、颜料组合物和干制剂。
下述实施例意图更详细地解释本发明而非限制本发明。
实施例:
a)干涉颜料A的制备
将100g颗粒尺寸为10-60μm的云母在1.9升的去离子水中搅拌加热至75℃。
用10%的盐酸将该悬浮液的pH值调节到3.0。然后计量加入200g 30%FeCl3溶液,在此期间通过同时滴加32%的氢氧化钠溶液使pH值保持恒定。将产物滤出、洗涤、干燥并在700℃下在包含氮气和氢气(氢气的比例:8体积%)的气体混合物中还原,获得有光泽的颜料,其具有银干涉、灰黑色主体色调和高光泽,它的涂层由74wt%的金属铁组成。
b)干涉颜料B的制备
将100g颗粒尺寸为10-60μm的云母在1.9升的去离子水中搅拌加热至75℃。
用5%的盐酸将该悬浮液的pH值调节到1.8。随后计量加入四氯化锡溶液(在90ml的去离子水中包含3g的SnCl45H2O和10ml浓盐酸),在此期间通过同时滴加32%的氢氧化钠溶液使pH值保持恒定。然后加入30%的四氯化钛溶液(180g的w=60%的TiCl4溶液,溶于180g的去离子水中),在此期间通过同时滴加32%的氢氧化钠溶液使pH值保持恒定。将产物滤出、洗涤、干燥并在850℃下在包含氮气和氢气(氢气的比例:8体积%)的气体混合物中还原,获得包含金属锡的颜料,其具有银干涉,中性灰主体色调和高光泽。
c)颜料混合物的制备
将来自实施例a)和b)的颜料以1∶0.75(干涉颜料A∶干涉颜料B)的重量比混合,将如此获得的混合物以3.5wt%的浓度掺入到丙烯酸酯-蜜胺表面涂料中,并施涂到着红漆的金属片上,获得有光泽的银色涂层,其在倾斜时显示出微红色。
对比实施例
将来自实施例b)的颜料与炭黑以1∶0.06(干涉颜料B∶炭黑)的重量比混合,将如此获得的混合物以2.5wt%的浓度掺入到丙烯酸酯-蜜胺表面涂料中,并施涂到着红漆的金属片上,获得有光泽的银色涂层,其中甚至以平角来看也不再看到红色基材。
激光标记使用实施例

Claims (12)

1、干涉颜料混合物,其特征在于所述混合物包含至少一种包含基材和含有金属铁的涂层的干涉颜料A,和包含基材和含有金属锡和另外至少一种金属氧化物的涂层的干涉颜料B。
2、权利要求1的混合物,其特征在于金属铁在含铁涂层中的的比例基于所述含铁涂层为10-100wt%。
3、权利要求1或2的混合物,其特征在于所述金属铁与FeO和/或Fe3O4一起存在于所述含铁涂层中。
4、权利要求1的混合物,其特征在于金属锡在所述含有金属锡的涂层中的比例基于所述包含金属锡和另外至少一种金属氧化物的涂层为0.01-50wt%。
5、权利要求1或4的混合物,其特征在于所述另外的金属氧化物为氧化钛。
6、权利要求1-5之一的混合物,其特征在于所述干涉颜料A和B的基材彼此不同,并包含合成的或天然的云母、层状硅酸盐、玻璃、SiO2、Al2O3、TiO2、石墨和/或BiOC1。
7、权利要求1-6之一的混合物,其特征在于包含金属氧化物、金属氧化物水合物、金属低价氧化物、金属、金属氟化物、金属氮化物、金属氧氮化物和/或它们的混合物的一层或多层另外地存在于干涉颜料A中的含有金属铁的涂层和基材之间,和/或存在于干涉颜料B中的含有金属锡和另外至少一种金属氧化物的涂层和基材之间。
8、权利要求1-7之一的颜料混合物,其特征在于干涉颜料A与干涉颜料B的比例为99∶1-1∶99。
9、权利要求1-8之一的颜料混合物,其特征在于向所述干涉颜料A和B进一步提供额外的有机涂层作为外层。
10、权利要求1的混合物在化妆品、表面涂料、油墨、塑料、薄膜、安全印刷、文件和身份文书中的安全特征中的用途,用于种子着色、食品着色、激光标记或药剂包衣的用途,和用于制备颜料组合物和干制剂的用途。
11、权利要求10的用途,其特征在于权利要求1的混合物处于与有机或无机染料和/或颜料的共混物的形式。
12、包含权利要求1的混合物的化妆品、表面涂料、油墨、塑料、薄膜、文件和身份文书、种子、食品或药剂包衣、颜料组合物和干制剂。
