Abstract

Description
本发明涉及眼内晶状体(IOL),更具体地涉及用于将IOL注射进入眼睛的装置。
背景技术
人眼最简单的功能就是通过角膜的清晰的外部的传导和折射来提供视力,并且进一步经由晶状体将图像聚焦到眼睛后部的视网膜。聚焦图像的品质依赖于许多因素包括眼晴的尺寸、形状和长度,以及角膜和晶状体的形状和透明度。
当外伤、年龄或疾病造成晶状体变得不透明,由于可传到视网膜的光减少了,视力就退化了。眼睛晶状体的这种退化医学上叫做白内障。这种情况的治疗是科移出晶状体并移植眼内晶状体或IOL。
早期的IOL是由硬塑料制成的,例如有机破璃(PMMA),柔软的可折叠的IOL是由硅树脂制成的,因为其可折叠或滚动这些柔软晶状体和可通过较小切口将它们插入的能力,柔软的丙烯酸树脂和水凝胶已经变得越来越时行。几种滚动或折叠透镜的方法可用,一种流行的方法是用注射器筒将晶状体折叠,并提供相对小直径的内腔可将晶状体通过其推入眼睛,通常使用柔软的尖端柱塞。更普遍使用的注射器筒设计在美国专利号为4,681,102(Bartell)的专利中示出,并包括开口的、沿纵向铰接的筒。另一种最近介绍的一次性晶状体递送系统在专利号为美国专利USPN 7,156,854 B2(Brown等人)的专利中示出。其他的筒设计在美国专利号为5,494,484和5,499,987(Feingold)和5,616,148和5,620,450(Eagles等人)的专利中示出。为了试图避开美国专利号为4,681,102的专利的权利要求书,已经研究出几种固体筒,例如美国专利号为5,275,604(Rheinish等人)和5,653,715(Reich等人)的专利。
这种从筒中压出晶状体而无损害的能力依赖于晶状体的设计和材料。硅树脂晶状体,由于由相对粗糙和耐用的材料制成,因此可以被压缩地更多一些。高水分水凝胶材料,由于更易碎些,必须更加小心地折叠。柔软的丙烯酸树脂,由于本质是黏弹性的,对温度高度敏感,如果太冷是易碎的,而如果太热就不工作。当在适当的温度下被压缩时,柔软的丙烯酸树脂可以被描述为“流动”而不是折叠。因为此种原因,柔软的丙烯酸树脂最好是缓慢地压缩,并且是以一种绝对可控的方式。
现有技术中适用于柔软的丙烯酸树脂IOL的晶状体递送手持件一般具有柱塞,其前进要么通过使用螺钉,要么通过推动柱塞近端,类似于使用注射器的动作。具有通过螺钉前进的柱塞的手持件一般以一种连续的、可控的方式推进晶状体。由于柱塞的策略反馈的变化,注射器型柱塞推进可能是成问题的。最初的压力相对于克服晶状体的最初的阻力必须是高的。一旦晶状体开始移动,柱塞杆上用于继续推进晶状体所需的压力就会减小,但是当晶状体被折叠地更加紧密,并进入到狭窄的、受限的喷嘴时,所需的压力会逐渐增大。因此,实施缓慢的、连续的和稳定的压力于注射器型晶状体递送系统的柱塞杆上是困难的。
因此,一种用于帮助提供给注射器型晶状体注射系统的用户以连续的、稳定的触觉反馈的装置的需要继续存在。
发明内容
本发明对现有技术加以改进,提供一种具有柱塞杆的晶状体递送系统,该柱塞杆具有多个与递送系统手持件内孔可滑动地摩擦接合的弹性体刮片。可选择地,弹性体刮片可以设置在孔上,并且与柱塞杆可滑动地摩擦接合。通过调整刮片的几何形状、尺寸或材料性质(弹性模量),刮片的摩擦接合大小是可变的和可控制的。刮片既帮助提供反馈给用户,在柱塞杆穿行的整个范围内,也可以帮助提供更加均匀、稳定的压力。
根据本发明的一个目的,提供一种适用于柔软的丙烯酸树脂材料制成的折叠晶状体的晶状体递送系统。
根据本发明的进一步的目的,提供一种具有多个内部弹性体刮片的晶状体递送系统。
根据本发明的进一步的目的,提供一种在柱塞杆穿行的整个范围内,提供更加均匀、稳定的压力的晶状体递送系统。
本发明的其他目的、特征和优点都将通过参照附图以及下列附图的描述和权利要求书而更明显。

具体实施方式
在图1中清楚看出,本发明的晶状体递送系统10一般包括晶状体递送筒12、管状手持件14和柱塞16。手持件14可以是任何合适的结构,例如模铸热塑性材料或机加工的铝、不锈钢或钛。筒12一般具有管体18和注射喷嘴20。筒12可由任一种合适的热塑性材料,例如聚丙烯咩件成型,该热塑性材料可以包含如同美国专利号为5,716,364的专利中所公开的增强润滑性的介质,该专利的全部内容在此一并参考引用。可选择地,筒12可以和手持件14整体成型。喷嘴20的截面优选是圆的、卵形的或椭圆的,并且截面积大约在1.0mm2到大约2.6mm2。眼内晶状体(未示出)被柱塞16以本领域公知的方式从筒12推出到喷嘴18。
在图3中清楚地看出,柱塞16一般包括具有近端帽24的近端变厚部分22和远端延伸的柱塞杆26。柱塞杆26比变厚部分22窄,并且其尺寸和形状设计成使之在喷嘴20中往复运动。柱塞16的尺寸和形状设计成使之在手持件14内往复移动,并且可以包括附加的构件,举例说明,如止挡28可以帮助阻止柱塞16在手持件14内的运动,推动帽24推动柱塞杆进入并到达喷嘴20,而止挡28防止柱塞杆26被从喷嘴20拔出。
柱塞16的变厚部分22可以包括多个弹性体刮片30,该刮片与管状体14的内壁摩擦地接合。如此摩擦地接合增大了在管状体14内推动柱塞16所需的力。本领域技术人员可以认识到,力的大小可以通过增加刮片30的数量和/或尺寸或者通过改变刮片30的材料性质,例如弹性模量来控制。虽然刮片30增加了在管状体14内推动柱塞16所需的力,但是刮片30也帮助给用户提供反馈,并且在柱塞16穿行的整个范围内,帮助提供更加均匀、稳定的压力。刮片30可以以任一种合适的方式,例如包覆成型附着到柱塞16。优选地,刮片30仅仅是部分地沿着或环绕柱塞16的变厚部分22延伸。
可选择地,如图1和2所示,刮片30′可以被附着到管状手持件14的内壁32上。刮片30′和刮片30的结构类似,并且以刮片30附着到柱塞16类似的方式附着到管状手持件14的内壁32上。

Claims (4)
1.一种眼内晶状体递送系统,包括
a)筒;
b)具有内壁的管状手持件;
c)具有附着到一近端变厚部分上的向远端延伸的柱塞杆的柱塞,该柱塞的尺寸和形状设计成使之在管状手持件内往复运动;和
d)至少一个刮片,附着到所述柱塞的所述变厚部分上,从而与所述管状手持件的内壁摩擦接合。
2.根据权利要求1所述的晶体递送系统,其中所述刮片由弹性体材料制成。
3.一种眼内晶状体递送系统,包括:
a)筒;
b)具有内壁的管状手持件;
c)具有附着到一近端变厚部分上的向远端延伸的柱塞杆的柱塞,该柱塞的尺寸和形状设计成使之在管状手持件内往复运动;和
d)至少一个刮片,附着到所述管状手持件的内壁上,从而与所述柱塞的所述变厚部分摩擦接合。
4.根据权利要求1所述的晶体递送系统,其中所述刮片由弹性体材料制成。
