Abstract

The present invention refers to an artificial airway management device or valve with adaptation to respiratory devices and equipment or Berne Valve, which comprises a body with couplings for the different airway support devices, a port for supplying medication through metered-dose inhalers (MDIs) with their respective caps, a plurality of universal port caps that prevent pressure loss when the universal ports are not in use, an airway seal valve, and a bypass cap cleaning that is coupled with a cleaning bypass diaphragm. This valve is specially adapted to respiratory devices (endotracheal tubes, tracheostomy cannulas, passive humidifiers, mechanical ventilator circuit, BVM device - Bag Valve Mask, among others), allows the supply of inhaled medications, the connection of linear capnographs, the monitoring of nitric oxide therapy, secretion aspiration, tracheal gas insufflation (TGI); Likewise, it prevents lung collapse during disconnection of ventilatory support and allows procedures such as fiberoptic bronchoscopy to be carried out, facilitating the intervention of critically ill patients with invasive mechanical ventilation support.
