Abstract
Se describe una válvula de oclusión giratoria para traqueostomía, cuyo uso se desenvuelve dentro del campo médico, toda vez que permite realizar una función de oclusión en el flujo, tanto inspiratorio, como espiratorio, de un determinado paciente, dependiendo de la condición clínica o las limitaciones ventilatorias que el mismo posea, por tanto, posibilita la ejecución de las dos fases de la respiración, ya se inspiración o espiración. La válvula consiste en un dispositivo compuesto por un cuerpo principal en forma de cilindro, dentro del cual se encuentra un semicojinete, una rejilla de seguridad, una pestaña y un puerto de acople para oxígeno. Dicho cuerpo principal se halla unido a una válvula unidireccional giratoria que contiene una rotula esférica, un orificio en su centro, ventanas, pilares y una pestaña. Finalmente, esta válvula unidireccional contiene una membrana compuesta por un puerto de agarre y un diafragma.
