Abstract

The claimed invention is a system, method and method of monitoring mining slopes in open pit works that generates an early or predictive alert. Specifically, the invention consists of a step of capturing data from multiple sensors, such as prisms, piezometers, GBR (Ground-Based Radar) and InSAR (Interferometric Sinthetic Aperture Radar) radar images, exploitation data, terrain data ( lithology, environmental variables), historical data, and Digital Elevation Maps called DEM (Digital Elevation Model). This information is pre-processed and taken to an analytical basis. From the analytical basis and the use of mathematical models, two indexes are constructed. The first, called Long Term Index, analyzes the slow movements of the slope, allowing the construction of risk maps in the mine. The second, called Short Term Index, detects the rapid movements of the slope, determining the alarms, or precursors of risk movements. All information is displayed on a web platform with a built-in GIS (Geographical Information System) system, which allows viewing the information in 2D and 3D, as well as generating other information reports and creating personalized alerts.
