Turbine powered locomotive. In locomotives, in which the driving wheels are driven by turbines by means of cranks and connecting rods, for example with the aid of toothed gears, and which are provided with a tank car and a condenser located on a special car, the proposal has been made to use units of toothed gear systems Attach the turbine to the Kündensatorwagen. In the case of larger locomotives, it has proven difficult to be able to arrange a toothed gear system with a turbine within the limited space that can supply the entire power requirement of the locomotive.
The invention relates to a locomotive of the first-mentioned type and aims to arrange the turbine systems together with the associated drive devices in such a way that much more powerful locomotives can be produced than was previously the case. The invention consists essentially in the fact that one or more high-pressure turbine systems and associated drive devices, e.g. B. toothed drives, on the tank car and one or more low pressure turbine systems with associated drive devices, e.g. B. gear drives, are arranged on the capacitor car.
This has the advantage that for the required resilient or articulated steam line connection between the two cars, a steam line of a smaller diameter can be used than -when two independent turbine systems are arranged on each car, said connection by a Drain pipe from a turbine after the condenser must be made, which must have a much larger diameter.
The drawing illustrates in FIGS. 1 and 2 two embodiments of the invention.
The tank car is marked with 1 and the condenser car with 2. In the embodiment according to. Fig. 1, a toothed gear system with a turbine is used on each car, with the high-pressure system on the tank car and the low-pressure system on the condenser car. The high-pressure turbine system is labeled 3 and the low-pressure turbine system is labeled 4.
The exhaust steam from the turbine system 3 is led after the turbine system 4 from one - # Ä # agen to the other, and in the steam connection line between the systems there is a joint or a spring connection 5 < / B> arranged. The waste steam from the turbine system, 4- is fed directly into the water tank of the condenser.
Each turbine is connected to a toothed drive that transmits the movement to the drive wheels by means of cranks and connecting rods. These turbine systems with toothed drives can also be used at another point on the car in question For example, it can be arranged in the front part of the tank car and in the rear part of the condenser car; however, it is more advantageous to arrange the systems in such a way that steam lines that are as short as possible are required.
Fig. 29 shows an embodiment of the invention, which is provided with two turbine systems with toothed gears on each carriage, these systems being attached to the two ends of each carriage .. and also in this case the systems of Tank wagons are designed as high pressure turbines and the systems of the condenser wagons are designed as low pressure turbines.
From Fig. 2 it can be seen how the exhaust steam from system 6 at the front end of the tank car according to your system 7 , in the rear end of the tank car and then after the system < B> 8 is routed to the front end of the condenser trolley, and from here to the system 9 at the rear end of the condenser trolley, finally to the water tank of the condenser trolley 2 In this case too, the steam line between the two cars is provided with a joint or a spring-loaded connection, 5 .
The turbines can also be arranged in a different way if only the exhaust steam from the turbine of the tank wagon is not routed directly to the condenser, because this would require a discharge line with an excessively large diameter to allow a suitable arrangement of a To enable articulation or a resilient connection The gear systems with turbines can be arranged on triple frames or fixed frames.
The system 6 (FIG. 2) is arranged on a rack, which is why the steam lines must be designed to be articulated or resilient after the same. The system 9 is arranged on the condenser gradient or the carriage part. The engine located on the rear part of the boiler body is expediently arranged below the coal container 10 located on the boiler body.
