La présente invention a pour objet un appareil pour pulvériser un combustible solide, le mélanger avec de l'air et injecter le mé lange directement dans un foyer, en vue d'ob tenir une combustion immédiate et complète du combustible, lequel peut être de la houille, du lignite, de l'anthracite, de la tourbe etc.
Le dessin annexé représente, à titre d'exemple, une forme d'exécution de l'objet de l'invention.

Comme le montre le dessin, l'appareil comporte une enveloppe A traversée par un arbre central 1 portant plusieurs couronnes de palettes 2 et qui est supporté à chaque extrémité par un palier 3. Cet arbre 1 est animé d'un mouvement de rotation excessive ment rapide et les palettes ou marteaux 2 sont destinés à assurer la pulvérisation du combustible solide amené dans l'enveloppe A renfermant les palettes. L'arbre 1 porte, d'une part, une poulie de commande générale 4 de l'appareil et, d'autre part, assure, par l'inter médiaire d'une courroie 5 et d'une roue 6 à vis sans fin 7, la rotation d'un distributeur de combustible rotatif 8, porté par l'enveloppe .3, surmonté d'une trémie de chargement 11 et destiné à alimenter l'appareil en combus tible.
L'enveloppe A est pourvue, à l'extré mité où se trouve le distributeur 8, d'un ori fice réglable de rentrée d'air 10, l'air entrant par cet orifice servant à véhiculer le com bustible pulvérisé. A l'extrémité opposée, un ventilateur 9 à deux ouïes aspire, d'une part, le combustible lorsqu'il est pulvérisé et, d'autre part, une quantité d'air supplémentaire réglable par un registre, non représenté sur le dessin, pour permettre de doser l'air total nécessaire à la combustion.
Les couronnes de palettes pulvérisatrices 2 sont portées par des roues qui ont un dia mètre progressivement décroissant en se rap prochant du ventilateur 9, l'enveloppe A ayant une forme conique correspondante. Les palettes 2, en tournant rapidement, rejettent constamment les plus grosses particules du combustible vers la plus grande périphérie de l'enveloppe A. La finesse de ces particules est d'ailleurs réglée par la quantité d'air primaire qui traverse l'appareil, quantité d'air qui peut elle-même être réglée au moyen d'un registre à l'orifice 10 se trouvant sous le distributeur rotatif 8.
Le ventilateur 9 comporte un aubage double permettant de régler aussi la quantité d'air supplémentaire nécessaire au mélange d'air et de combustible pulvérisé. Ce mélange est refoulé par le ventilateur directement dans le foyer B (fig. 2).

As shown in the drawing, the apparatus comprises a casing A crossed by a central shaft 1 carrying several crowns of pallets 2 and which is supported at each end by a bearing 3. This shaft 1 is driven by an excessive rotational movement. rapid and the paddles or hammers 2 are intended to ensure the spraying of the solid fuel brought into the casing A enclosing the paddles. The shaft 1 carries, on the one hand, a general control pulley 4 of the device and, on the other hand, ensures, through the intermediary of a belt 5 and a worm wheel 6 7, the rotation of a rotary fuel distributor 8, carried by the casing .3, surmounted by a loading hopper 11 and intended to supply the appliance with fuel.
The casing A is provided, at the end where the distributor 8 is located, with an adjustable air intake opening 10, the air entering through this orifice serving to convey the atomized fuel. At the opposite end, a fan 9 with two openings sucks, on the one hand, the fuel when it is sprayed and, on the other hand, an additional quantity of air adjustable by a damper, not shown in the drawing, to allow metering of the total air required for combustion.
The crowns of spraying pallets 2 are carried by wheels which have a gradually decreasing diameter as they approach the fan 9, the casing A having a corresponding conical shape. The vanes 2, by rotating rapidly, constantly reject the largest particles of the fuel towards the largest periphery of the envelope A. The fineness of these particles is also regulated by the quantity of primary air which passes through the device, quantity of air which can itself be regulated by means of a damper at port 10 under the rotary distributor 8.
The fan 9 comprises a double vane making it possible also to adjust the quantity of additional air necessary for the mixture of air and atomized fuel. This mixture is delivered by the fan directly into the combustion chamber B (fig. 2).
