Voltage regulator in alternating mirror electrical installations. The present invention relates to a voltage regulator in alternating current electrical installations.
In the invention, the well-known principle is used, that it is possible to increase or decrease the voltage in a winding carried by the current and connected to a magnetic field by rotating the coil on its own axis. so as to wind up and unwind the conductive wire without producing electromagnetic reactions. According to the present invention, the flexible conductor, with which the regulator is provided, forms two windings, at least one of which is located in a magnetic field, means being provided which allow the number of turns of one of the turns to be reduced. windings and at the same time automatically and as said decrease increases the number of turns of the other winding and vice versa.
In the accompanying drawing, several embodiments of the object of the invention are shown schematically and by way of example. Fig. 1 is a view of the first embodiment, FIG. 2 shows part of the second execution form partially in vertical section.
The fi-. 3 shows sclieniately Fem-use of the regulator according to fig. 2 in an ordinary three-phase transformer.
In fig. 1 is indicated with; 1 a laminated iron core which constitutes, as in the traiisformateur> #, the magnetic circuit, with 2 and 3 of the exciter windings. 4 and 5 are adjustable movable windings.
The windings 4 and 5 are arranged respectively on the two coils 6 and 7 of insulating material moving around the core 2. On the bolmies 6 and 7 are fixed driitée crowns S and 9 which mesh with the toothed ring N 'fixed to Parbre 11, controlled by the handwheel 12.
The movable windings 4 and 5 are wound in the same direction and linked together, the free ends of the windings being respectively fixed to the contact rings 13 and 14 on which

As is known, in order to obtain a maximum variation of the tension with the number of turns, it is necessary to use large iron sections; and that the latter work at high magnetic densities ,.
In the case illustrated in fig. 1 it has been assumed that the adjustable windings 4 and 5 were connected there, an external circuit that we want to regulate, shouted the windings 4 and 5 can also be used to regulate the voltage of the current flowing through the winding 2. This variant is applicable in cases where the current to be set is at high voltage or at high intensity.
r1 in fig. 2 is shown as a part of a core of laminated iron; 27 is titi vitiated drum of insulating material fixed to the core by means of a stirrup 3a; tin core 4 ', carrying a crown 411, with helical groove can turn on the drum 3a.
The interior of the drum is subdivided into two superimposed parts by a wall 5-1 cil insulating material, and in the two resulting parts are placed the two windings 6 \; and 7a of flexible flat iron coiled in opposite directions relative to each other. The inner ends of the bearings are interconnected and rigidly fixed to the core 4a while the outer ends of the two windings are fixed,
by means of fixed drum air terminals 2.1. The two windings 6-1 and 71 occupy only a part of the free space inside the drum in order to allow the number of turns to be varied as will be explained.
The operation is as follows: by rotating the core 4a, the coils of the windings will wrap around the core, consequently, the diameter of the turns being reduced. the number will be increased, while the other winding will take place, which will have the effect of reducing the number of turns. thus achieving voltage variations.
The variation that is obtained with these in bearings is very limited, but due to its simplicity it is possible to adapt it to ordinary transformers. It is obvious that the conductors for these coils must be made with wide, very thin and suitably insulated tris bands.
Fig. 3 shows the use of the regulator according to fig. 2 to titi tripliased transformer. On each core 17 said tuai isformer is placed titi regulator of which it is shown that the drum <B> <U> 2,
