Description
Schaufel für Gaz-un Dampfturbinenl.
Es ist bisher nicht gelungen, die Schaufeln für Gasturbineu aus einem Material herzustellen, das den hohen Temperatureu cler Betriebsgase dauernd widerstehen konnte.
Ebenso sind der Uberhitznng des Dampfes bei Dampfturbinen aus dem gleiclien Grunde ziemlich enge ('renzell gezogen, da der Stahl höhere Temperaturen ais die heute maximal üblichen nichet verträgt.
Gegenstand der vorliegenden Erfindung ist nun eine Schaufel für Gasturbinen und Tur- binen für hochübcrhitzten Dampf, welche min- destens teilweise aus Quarz besteht. Da Quarz erst bei einer Temperatur von gegen 1700 C schmilzt und gegen plötzlichen Temperatur- weehsel unempfindlicl ist, so werden derartige Schaufeln von den Betriebsgasen der Gas- turbineo, deren Temperatur in der Verbrennungskammer etwa 1200"C beträgt und in der Turbine selbst rund 700 C, nicht angegriffen.
Dasselbe gilt für hochüberhitzten Dampf von beispielsweise 500 G, In beiden Fällen, in Gasturbinen wie in Turbinez für hochüberhitzten Dampf, kann die vorliegende Schaufel für diejenigen Stufen angewendet werden, deren Temperatur oberhalb der fur Metallschaufeln kritischen Temperatur liegt, während für die Stufen unterhalb dieser kritischen Temperatur wie bisher Metall schaufeln angewendet werden können.
Die Schaufel gemäss vorliegender Erfindung kann ganz aus reines Quarz bestehen. Sie kann aber auch noch mindestens ein schwer schmelzbares Metalloxyd. z. B. Zirkonoxyd, Titanoxyd, Magnesiumoxyd oder Aluminiumoxyd enthalten. Ferner kann die aus reines quartz bestehende Schaufel einen Überzug aus mindestens einem der genannten Oxyde aufweiseo.

The subject matter of the present invention is a blade for gas turbines and turbines for highly heated steam, which blade consists at least partially of quartz. Since quartz only melts at a temperature of around 1700 C and is insensitive to sudden changes in temperature, such blades are deprived of the operating gases of the gas turbine, the temperature of which is around 1200 C in the combustion chamber and around 700 C in the turbine itself , not attacked.
The same applies to highly superheated steam of, for example, 500 G, in both cases, in gas turbines as in Turbinez for highly superheated steam, the present blade can be used for those stages whose temperature is above the critical temperature for metal blades, while for the stages below this critical temperature Temperature as before metal blades can be applied.
The blade according to the present invention can consist entirely of pure quartz. But it can also contain at least one metal oxide that is difficult to melt. z. B. zirconium oxide, titanium oxide, magnesium oxide or aluminum oxide. Furthermore, the blade made of pure quartz can have a coating of at least one of the oxides mentioned.
