I>6</I></B>2-Ü4-' = 118 Volt be tragen.
Dann</U> be trägt die Wattkomponente 1/440=-2362 = 371 Volt.
Device for influencing the voltage curve of a mercury vapor rectifier in the sense of a falling characteristic. The Queeksilberdalnpfgleiclirichtcr have a dependence of the direct current voltage on the current intensity represented by the curve a in Fig. 1 of the drawing. The nature of this dependency makes it difficult to work in parallel with other power sources with an almost constant EPIK, especially batteries and life machines, and makes it quite impossible to work with low loads.
As soon as the current strength falls above the point of highest voltage, which is 100 Amp. In the model on which the curve is based, for example, the voltage continues to decrease and with it the current; until the rectifier goes out. This can be avoided by placing an ohmic resistance of 0.07 0 in the circuit.
The voltage loss y produced by the resistor is subtracted from the voltage curve a of the rectifier, so that it loses its course, which increases with the current, and results in the curve 1'i in FIG. However, this method entails great losses, which at 300 amps are already 300 = # 0.07 = 6.3 KW.
The ratios are even more sinister if you turn on a choke coil with high saturation in the feed lines to the rectifier instead of the Ohnic resistance. If this is placed in the secondary circuit of a transformer in front of the rectifier, it mainly only works in such a way that it compensates for the harmonics; without having a significant in fl uence on the voltage curve by releasing the energy stored when the rectified half-wave arises when the half-wave disappears.
It therefore does not reduce the direct current voltage, but mainly covers the individual waves.
If the inductor is switched into the primary circuit of the transformer, it can achieve the desired effect - but it has to be in order to generate a significant voltage drop; as the following calculation shows, can be made very large. In addition, the total voltage is initially only very slightly influenced, as the current increases. So the losses would be even greater than when using an induction-free resistance.
It is assumed that with a common arrangement of a single-phase rectifier, in which the anodes are connected to the outer conductors of a voltage divider, and so that the cathode becomes the positive pole, the zero point of the voltage divider becomes the negative pole of the DC network, the AC voltage applied to the voltage divider is the same 440 volts, which corresponds to a rectified voltage of about 200 volts.
If the voltage drop in the direct current circuit is to be 7 volts again at 100 amps, then the watt component of the alternating current voltage should fall by about 16 volts. Assuming that the wattless voltage component is small compared to the watt component when idling, the voltage of the choke coil must now, since it is right on the watt component; 1/44 <B> <I> 6 </I> </B> 2-Ü4- '= 118 volts. This choke voltage should only increase to twice the value of 236 volts at 300 amps due to the saturation.
Then </U> the watt component is 1/440 = -2362 = 371 volts. Despite the fact that the inductor voltage has only increased by 100 jo at three times the current, the voltage loss has increased from 16 to 69 volts, i.e. by more than four times, and the energy loss has increased to 9.4 KW. This is due to the fact that as the current increases, the wattless component fills more and more in the direction of the total voltage.
With the invention, the power loss caused by the required voltage drop is reduced as much as possible by combining inductive and Ohrn resistors, whereby the knee of the iron saturation of the inductive resistance is reached at a current that is your points of the highest Voltage corresponds to the rectifier curve.
If, for example, an Ohinscher resistance and a choke coil are connected in parallel, the voltage drop will initially increase approximately proportionally with the current when the current is low, since the voltage loss is directly proportional to the ohmic loss of the resistance.
The two chokes coils in the arrangement as shown in Fig. 2 of the accompanying drawing., For example, are dimensioned so that their voltage at 100 amps. Total current is 7 volts each, with their saturation is chosen so
that most of the current flows through the resistor and only a small part through the inductor. The loss thus falls almost entirely in the direction of the watt component. If the current continues to rise to 300 amps, with the voltage at the inductor being around 14 volts, the voltage in the direct current circuits drops by around 12 volts.
The loss is then 12 times 300 = 3600 watts or 3.6 KW, i.e. it is only about half of the loss that would occur if a resistor were used alone, and it is relatively much smaller when compared with the case, where a reactor is used alone.
The umpteen. 2 to 5 show exemplary embodiments in which ohmic resistances and inductors are connected in parallel.
In Fig. 2, G is the rectifier, T is a voltage divider. The choke coils D and D = are located in the lines leading to the anodes. The resistors zcr and zrz are connected in parallel to the choke coils.
Fig. 3 shows the arrangement of the choke coils in the zero point of the transformer. If, as is usually the case, a transformer is used finitely with a primary and a selector winding, a double coil with one winding and a resistor is sufficient, as FIG. 4 shows. For multi-phase electricity, e.g. B. three-phase, a multi-phase choke coil can be used (Fig. 5).
The designations in FIGS. 3-5 are the same as those in FIG. 6 shows the mode of operation of the arrangement. Here, line a again shows the dependency of the voltage of the rectifier on the loading current intensity in the usual circuit, while line L shows the dependence of the voltage of the inductor and the parallel resistance of your currents.
Subtract curve L from curve a. this gives curve c, which now shows the dependence of the rectifier voltage on the current. This curve represents a characteristic that falls for all values of the current and thus enables the rectifier to work reliably.
The choke coil obtains the desired characteristic by selecting its saturation in such a way that the knee of the magnetization curve approximately coincides with the highest value of the voltage curve of the rectifier. The resistor connected in parallel can also be replaced by a secondary circuit that works on "a" resistor, or by a solid iron core.
, in which the eddy currents take on the role of the current flowing through Olim's resistance.
If, instead of the choke coil provided with parallel resistance, a transformer loaded with a secondary resistance is used, the effect can be improved even further by installing a scatter path.
