New for brushes, brooms and the like. The present invention is a novelty in brooms, brushes and the like, which enables. From the like utensils, after they are no longer usable as a whole, the not yet completely worn out bristles, hair, rice and the like in a multiple way again to utilize according to their purpose. This is achieved in that the shaft of the brush, broom or the like with a cone located at its front end in a bundle of wiping material (bristles.
Hair, twigs or the like, 'driven and thereby this material is pressed against the frame from the inside and is thus held in place.
In the drawing, two Ausfüh approximately examples of the subject invention are shown.
In the embodiment according to FIG. 1, showing a brush, a bundle of bristles a is inserted through the round or angular hole of a ring b which lies loosely on the perforated bottom of a threaded sleeve c. From the upper end of the latter, the brush shaft e is screwed in by means of a threaded sleeve d attached to it, which carries a conical pin f at its front end. This penetrates by screwing the shaft e into the bundle a and presses the bristles against the ring 0, whereby they are easily held, without glue, binding and the like, so that after screwing the shaft e the brush is ready.
After wear, the bristles can be easily replaced by others, while those that are not or only rarely used can be used again. The innovation described allows the household or private person, etc., to produce cheap brushes themselves. For example, by removing the remaining bristles from brushes that are no longer usable as a whole because of wear or failure of most of the bristles Simply cut off the brush height according to the length of the brush and form it into bundles.
It is advisable to wrap such a bundle at your end, along with it. which it is to be inserted into the ring b, firmly. with a thread to better insert it into the ring. This thread is removed again afterwards before the shaft e is driven in.
By using several rings with openings of different widths, bundles of different thicknesses can be used as desired on the same shaft.
The illustrated by Fig. 2 is imple mentation. mainly intended for large brushes, for wipers and brooms. The cone f is formed directly on the shaft c itself. The threaded sleeve c, into which the shaft is screwed by means of a sleeve cl fastened on it, is conically narrowed at the front and thereby provides the same purpose as the ring b of the first embodiment. When the shaft e is screwed in, the cone f presses the hairs or strands a or the like outwards against the conical wall of the sleeve. c and holds it so tight.
A similar formation of the sleeve c, as shown in FIG. 2, can also be used in connection with. a shaft designed according to FIG. 1.
With so-called yellow rice brooms. which are manufactured in the manner just described, can be used again and again for a fresh rice filling even after the stems have been worn out, whereas with previous brooms of this type the stems are no longer used for the same purpose after the stems have been worn down can, since private individuals are not in the position to bring a fresh bundle of rice to it.
Previous brooms made from birch veins show the disadvantage that when the handle is driven in, the binding is often broken, or that the handle is slanted into the sticks. bundle comes to stuck. A relatively large fraction of the travel length is then required to guide the handle. All of these evils will come with. avoid the described innovation.
The invention can also be used to advantage, for example, where brushes, brooms and the like with; Acids have to come into contact and are therefore subject to heavy wear. For such cases, the material used for shaft sleeves, etc., expediently glass or other acid-resistant mate rial.
