Description
a bezeichnet eine Steckdose, die in be kannter Weise auf der Unterlage b befestigt ist, und c den zugehörigen Stecker mit der abgehenden Leitung1. Auf der Unterlageb sitzt ein Fuss d fest, an dem mittelst des Scharnieres e der eine Schenkel eines Bü gels f' angelenkt ist;
Device to prevent unauthorized persons from pulling out the prongs from electrical plug contacts. In hotels, public bars, etc., it happens that the piercing contacts, which are used to supply power to traffic lights, piano lamps, etc., are pulled out by unauthorized persons and replaced with other plugs for the purpose of unauthorized power consumption, e.g. for cooking, ironing, etc. .
The subject of the present invention He-forming device now prevents the pulling of the plug by unauthorized persons.
In the accompanying drawing, an embodiment of the new device is shown by Fig. 1 in plan view and by Fig. 2 in front view.
a denotes a socket that is fastened in a known manner on the base b, and c the associated plug with the outgoing line 1. A foot d sits on the base b fixed to which one leg of a bracket f 'is hinged by means of the hinge e;
this bridges the plug contact a, r, and engages with the other end by means of a slot over a projection g a plate fastened to the base b. A hole i provided in the projection g serves for receiving a seal or a lock to secure the bracket f against opening. In the web of the latter there is a slot 1c for receiving the cord 1.
As can be seen from the drawing, when the bracket f is closed, it is impossible to pull the plug c completely out of the socket c and replace it with another; This prevents the unauthorized theft of electricity to supply devices other than those connected to the cord 1. Only the rightful owner of the installation is entitled, resp. after opening the lock, able to open the shackle f. and pulling out the plug, respectively. to allow the connection of another power consumption unit.
Any violent opening of the bracket f could only take place after the lock or the seal has been destroyed.
To prevent that even with an empty can, i. H. when the plug is pulled out an unauthorized current drain can take place, for example by inserting wires into the sleeves of the socket, is a so-called. Blind plug (s) is provided, which is attached to the bracket f by means of a small chain n and usually hangs loosely.
The plug na is made entirely of non-conductive material and otherwise corresponds exactly to the plug e in terms of shape and size. If, for some reason, the current output from the plug contacts is to be permanently suspended, the owner opens the bracket f, pulls out the plug c and replaces it with the blind plug na inserted into the socket and then the bracket f closed again. From what has been said, it can be readily seen that in this case too, any unauthorized power consumption is excluded.
