Description

The invention relates to a Dehnfugenband according to the preamble of claim 1.

Such an expansion joint tape made of elastic material, in particular synthetic rubber, for example, from EP-A-0 440 870 known and has a central portion for bridging a Baufuge and two lateral edge portions where practically inextricable side strips are attached as adhesion promoter to the building. The side strips are applied or pressed onto both surfaces of the edge sections and are flush with their longitudinal edges. The side panels may be woven, nonwoven, bituminous, or a combination of these materials. They can be stepped at the central portion or pressed into the material of the edge portions to allow a favorable cross-introduction or sealing.

Joint tapes are used to bridge expansion joints in bituminous seals and between concrete components. The side strips are flamed by flame in the bituminous surface seal or glued with an epoxy adhesive directly to the substrate. The heated and fused areas or glued areas are then merely compressed to form the adhesive bond and seal.

The present invention is based on the object, a expansion joint tape such that it has a particularly simple structure and is suitable for a wide range of applications.

This object is achieved by an expansion joint tape having the features of patent claim 1.

The invention has the advantage that the expansion joint tape is stretchable over the entire width and thus for difficult transitions, for example, steps between components, in particular concrete components, is particularly suitable, since different dilatations can be bridged by the expansion joint tape.

Further advantages of the invention follow from the dependent claims and from the following description in which the invention with reference to an embodiment shown in the schematic drawings is explained in more detail. It shows:
<Tb> FIG. 1 <sep> a first embodiment of the expansion joint tape, and

<Tb> FIG. 2 <sep> a second embodiment of the expansion joint tape

In the figures, the same reference numerals are used for the same elements, unless otherwise indicated.

In Fig. 1, a first embodiment of an expansion joint tape 1 is shown of a sandwich-like construction of a first or upper web 2 of butyl elastomer, a second or middle web 3 of ethylene-propylene-diene rubber and a third or lower web 4 is formed from butyl elastomer. This expansion joint tape 1 has no defined expansion range, but is stretchable over the entire width with the same elasticity. Butyl elastomer shows excellent properties against weathering and a very good flexibility even at low temperatures to about -40 ° C.

In Fig. 2, a second embodiment of the expansion joint tape 1 is shown of a sandwich-like construction, which also from a first or upper web 2 of butyl elastomer, a second or middle web 3 of ethylene-propylene-diene rubber and a third or lower web 4 is formed from butyl elastomer. In addition, a flange reinforcement 8 is provided in the flange portions 6 and 7, which are arranged centrally in the middle track 3, and consists of a glass fiber fabric. However, the flange reinforcement 8 may also be made of a nonwoven fabric of a suitable plastic such as a copolymer substrate. Thus, there is an expansion region 5 between the flange portions 6 and 7.

The formation of the expansion joint tape 1 of a butyl elastomer also allows a particularly simple laying technique with bitumen or with the known adhesives.
