The invention is an easily deployable and perfumed tissue according to the preamble of claim 1.
Tissues of the type mentioned are known and are usually pressed in tablet form to expand in use with a small amount of water and then unfolded. Such handkerchiefs are used on journeys, in the office and everywhere, where there is little space to carry a parcel with towels folded in a conventional manner. The handkerchiefs are preferably made of cotton, viscose and the like. So a material that is easily biodegradable. At the same time, such handkerchiefs made of natural materials cause little irritation in the application, especially when used on infants or persons with sensitive skin.
As with other products, the market often calls for perfumed articles or those containing antiseptic or other active ingredients containing additives. These additives very often cause the unwanted irritation of sensitive skin, because the active ingredients used preservatives must be added, which increase the durability of the treated tissues.
An object of the present invention is now to provide a handkerchief containing perfuming substances or other active ingredients, but no skin irritants causing preservatives.
This object is achieved by a handkerchief according to the features of claim 1. Advantageous embodiments of the handkerchief are described in the dependent claims.
By applying the active ingredients and / or perfumes in a dry state on the dry tissue, these additives must contain no preservatives. There is also no risk of a chemical change of the dried substances, since the cloth is always kept in a preferably airtight packaging and only at the moment before use by water absorption is expanded again. With the absorption of water, at the same time, the dry active ingredients are combined with the material of the towelette and unfold their effect (perfuming or antiseptic activity). The bringing together of the dry cloth with the dry agent is also inexpensive.
Reference to an illustrated embodiment, the invention will be explained in more detail. Show it
<Tb> FIG. 1 <sep> an unfolded section of a fabric cut to the size of the towelette
<Tb> FIG. 2 <sep> sprinkling the fabric with powder,
<Tb> FIG. 3 <sep> the tissue pressed in tablet form and
<Tb> FIG. 4 <sep> which after adding water expanded again to the initial volume, now wet cloth.
Tissues of the type mentioned are usually non-woven fabrics, which are produced by the meter and then cut from roll to the desired size. In Fig. 1, a just separated from the roll cloth 1 and the front edge of the subsequent section for the next handkerchief is shown. This is conducted by suitable means to a powder coating station (Fig. 2) and there applied with powder grains 3. In order to obtain the most uniform possible application of powder, this is supplied in a known manner via a screen roller.
Of course, another form of order would also be possible, e.g. an electrostatic application in which the powder is positively charged and the table under the cloth 1 lying on it is negative (not shown). Subsequently, the handkerchief with the powder particles lying loosely thereon, but partially penetrated into the interspaces of the fibers forming the tissue 1, is initially folded in a conventional manner (not shown) and then in turn converted into a tablet 5 in a conventional manner. Of course, the tablet 5 could also have a polygonal shape and other height-diameter ratios than shown. On the pressed tablet 5, the outer edge region of the towel 1 can be seen by reference numeral 7.
At this edge region 7, the cloth can be detected and re-deployed as soon as, as shown in Fig. 4dargestellt, the tablet 5 has come into contact with water 9. By contact with water, the volume of the tablet 5 increases many times. This corresponds approximately to the volume of the dry handkerchief 1.
In the pressed tablet 5, the powder grains 3 are kept properly and by packaging of an airtight material can also contact during storage no contact with water. However, as soon as water is brought into contact with the tablet 5, it is absorbed by the fibers constituting the tissue 1, and at the same time the intervening powder grains 3 become moist and dissolve in the moisture. At the same time, they connect with the fibers like the water, and when the towel 1 is opened after swelling, the active substances contained in the powder grains 3 are firmly bound to the fibers of the towel 1. Since a cloth 1 opened by water is normally used immediately and before it dries out again, the active ingredients need no preserving additives.
In the dry state, the active ingredients are known to be stable without preservatives.
In a further embodiment of the invention not shown in detail, the powder grains 3 can be additionally rolled into this after being applied to the dry tissue 1 or pressed into this. By adding a preferably natural adhesive, which is softened by heat, the powder grains 3 could also be bonded to the surface of the Tüchlein 1. Powder grains bonded to the surface of the scrim 1 may contain, for example, antiseptic agents. Such tissues 1 can be used dry, i. they are unfolded without the addition of water and, for example, brought into contact with wounds. The wound fluid thereby assumes the effect of the water, so that the antiseptic agent can exert its effect.
The tissues 1 can be made in any size, so they are useful for many applications. For example, the tissues 1 may also be sprinkled with waxy powder 3, which is suitable for polishing shoes. If the powder 3 consists of a microsieve material such as zeolite, the absorbency of the scrim 1 can be substantially increased without the inert zeolites in any way having a chemical effect.
