<tb>Fig. 1<sep>ein perspektivische Ansicht eines erfindungsgemässen Aktuators, wobei das Gehäuse und das Getriebe nicht dargestellt sind;
<tb>Fig.2<sep>eine Teilansicht des Aktuators gemäss Fig.1;
<tb>Fig. 3<sep>die Ansicht gemäss Fig. 2vor Anschluss des IC-Bauelements;
<tb>Fig. 4<sep>eine perspektivische Ansicht einer zweiten Ausführungsform des Anschlusskörpers von hinten;
The present invention relates to an actuator with electric motor and control electronics according to the preamble of claim 1.
The drive electronics of such actuators comprises an integrated circuit which is e.g. supports the following functions or contains the following elements:
<tb> - <sep> Management of data and information exchange with a central control unit via a bus,
<tb> - <sep> Driver for the electric motor e.g. in the form of an H-bridge and
<tb> - <sep> microcontroller for converting the data or information into corresponding drive commands for the electric motor. The microcontroller can also be used to execute algorithms to control the torque generated by the electric motor and / or to detect a stop position of the rotor.
It is known to use a printed circuit board as a carrier for the contact pins as well as for the integrated circuit with housing and contact pins (IC component). The printed circuit board comprises strip conductors via which the electrical contact between the contact pins and the contact pins takes place. However, the use of such circuit boards has a relatively complex and expensive production of an actuator result.
From US-5 629 574 an actuator is known in which the integrated circuit is connected to a conductive frame containing the external and internal terminals and molded with plastic. However, the production of such an actuator is complicated and cost-intensive, since in particular the manufacturing chain is adapted to the selected type of integrated circuit. If another integrated circuit is to be used, the manufacturing chain must be changed accordingly.
Starting from this prior art, an object of the present invention is to provide an actuator of the type mentioned, which is simpler and less expensive to manufacture.
An actuator which achieves this object is specified in claim 1. The other claims indicate preferred embodiments.
The invention will be explained below with reference to preferred embodiments with reference to figures. Show it
<Tb> FIG. 1 <sep> is a perspective view of an actuator according to the invention, wherein the housing and the transmission are not shown;
Fig. 2 is a partial view of the actuator of Fig. 1;
<Tb> FIG. 3 <sep> the view according to FIG. 2before connecting the IC component;
<Tb> FIG. FIG. 4 is a rear perspective view of a second embodiment of the connector body; FIG.
<Tb> FIG. 5 <sep> is a perspective view of the connecting body according to FIG. 4 from the front; and
<Tb> FIG. 6 <sep> is the perspective view according to FIG. 5, invisible lines being also shown from the outside.
The actuator shown in Fig. 1 comprises an electric motor 1 with rotor 2 and stator 3 and a drive electronics 5, which is attached to a connector body 10 with contact pins 11 and 12.
The rotor 2 includes a magnet provided with a rotor axis which is rotatably arranged in a cage formed by teeth of the stator 3. Between the stator plates 3a and 3b of the stator, a bobbin 8 is arranged, which is wound with the coil 7.
As shown in FIG. 2, the drive electronics 5 is formed as an IC component in the form of a housing 15 with contact legs 16, wherein an integrated circuit is arranged in the housing 15. The IC device 5 is prefabricated and e.g. from Philips, for example in the form of a "package" of the SO family. It can be used the same IC device as in the conventional actuators, in which the IC device 5 is mounted on a circuit board.
The control electronics 5 is used u.a. to exchange signals with a central control unit (not shown) and to generate corresponding control signals in order to energize the coils 7 of the electric motor 1 coordinated in time and thereby to set the rotor 2 in rotation. For processing and generating signals, the integrated circuit may comprise a central computer unit and a memory unit and / or a microcontroller.
The actuator with the control electronics 5 is u.a. adapted to move a movable component controlled in a motor vehicle, for example a ventilation flap in the heating, ventilation and / or air conditioning, a headlight or a headlight component.
As further shown in FIG. 2, the contact pins 11 and 12 have a substantially rectangular cross-section and are embedded on the front side and rear side of the connection body 10 in such a way that the upper side 11a or 11b of the contact pins 11 and 12 lie substantially in the same plane like the top 10a of the connector body 10. A part of each contact pin 11, 12 is held by means of press fit in the connection body 10, so that a secure hold is ensured. This can also be achieved by providing the surface of the contact pins 11, 12 with grooves.
The rear contact pins 11 are each connected to a winding end 9 of the coil 7 of the electric motor 1. The front contact pins 12 serve to connect a cable whose end is provided with a suitable plug part. The actuator may be disposed in a housing with a plug collar (not shown) surrounding the front contact pins 12 and suitable for holding the plug portion of the cable. The cable is used to power the drive electronics 5 and to exchange signals with the central control unit and / or another actuator.
The terminal body 10 is integrally formed with the bobbin 8 of an electrically insulating material, e.g. Plastic, formed. It is conceivable, albeit somewhat more expensive, to design the connection body 10 as a separate part and to be connected with conventional connection means, e.g. with a connector to be attached to the electric motor 1 or a housing for the electric motor 1. The contact pins 11 and 12 are made of an electrically conductive material, preferably metal.
The housing 15 of the IC component 5 rests with its lower side on the upper side 10a of the connector body 10, so that in each case the upper side 11a or 12a of a contact pin 11 or 12 is in electrical contact directly by means of a material connection with a contact leg 16.
In the manufacture of the actuator, the bobbin 8 and the connection body 10 made of plastic, e.g. produced by injection molding and the contact pins 11 and 12 inserted in the connection body 10, so that the upper side 11a and 12a of the contact pins 11 and 12 comes to lie substantially plane-parallel with the upper side 10a of the connection body 10. In the winding of the bobbin 8, the coil ends 9 of the coils 7 are wound around the rear contact pins 11.
When this manufacturing state shown in FIG. 3 is reached, the winding ends 9 and the contact pins 11 are bonded by soldering and / or heat, such as arc welding. Subsequently, the IC device 5 is attached to the top 10a of the terminal body 10, e.g. by means of adhesive or by means of snappers (not shown) attached to the connection body 10 such that the ends of the contact legs 16 to be contacted come to rest on the surface 11a, 12a of the contact pins 11, 12. The contact pins 16 and contact pins 11 and 12 are then connected to one another in a material-locking manner. Suitable methods for producing the integral connection are: soldering - for example reflow soldering, wave soldering, laser beam soldering or inductive soldering - or welding, e.g. Laser welding.
The IC component 5 shown in FIGS. 1-3 is designed for mounting on a surface ("surface mount package"), for which purpose the ends of the contact legs 16 are angled. Also known are IC devices (e.g., the MIL family of Philips) whose contact legs have straight ends for passing through and electrically contacting through a hole ("through-hole mount package").
FIGS. 4-6 show a second embodiment of the connection body 20, which is suitable for the electrical connection of such a "through-hole mount package".
The terminal body 20 has a substantially rectangular top view and a stepped side elevation. In the stage, the contact pins 13 are arranged, which are connected to the coils 7. The contact pins 13 are held at the ends by the connection body 20 and extend substantially at right angles to the upper side 20 a of the connection body 20 upwards. They are materially connected to contact legs 26 of the IC device to make electrical contact.
Opposite to the contact pins 13, the contact pins 14 are arranged, to which a cable can be connected. As particularly shown in FIG. 6, they are L-shaped, wherein the respective central part 14b in the connector body 20 extends. The one ends 14a of the contact pins 14 extend substantially parallel to the contact pins 13 upwards and are each connected to a contact leg 26 cohesively. The other ends 14c of the contact pins 14 are substantially perpendicular to the ends 14a and protrude out of the rear of the terminal body 20.
As can be further seen in FIG. 6, the connection body 20 has a recess 27 into which the housing 25 of the IC component is at least partially accommodated. On two opposite sides of the trough 27 each have a snap element 28 is arranged for holding the IC device. The snap elements 28 are preferably formed integrally with the connection body 20.
The connection body 20 is made of an insulating material such as plastic. To produce the contact pins 13 and 14 are pressed into the prefabricated connection body 20 or molded with plastic, so that the connection body 20 receives the desired shape. The length of the contact pins 13 and 14, their exact arrangement and the dimensions of the trough 27 are adapted according to the dimensions of the IC device used. The connecting body 20 may be formed as a separate part or integrally with the bobbin 8.
After the coil ends 9 have been connected to the contact pins 13, the IC device is inserted upside down in the trough 27 and held by snapping the snap elements 28. The contact legs 26 of the IC device are not arranged at right angles to the housing 25, but run by default a little outwards. They thus meet at an acute angle to the upwardly projecting ends of the contact pins 13 and 14 and can thus be materially connected to these by means of one of the above-mentioned methods to produce an electrical contact.
The actuator according to the invention has i.a. following advantages:
<tb> - <sep> The connection body allows a simple and inexpensive connection of the control electronics to the contact pins. The use of a printed circuit board is no longer necessary. In this case, standard IC packages can be used without them having to be structurally modified.
<tb> - <sep> The contact pins of the IC device and the contact pins are in close proximity so that they can be electrically connected directly to each other. This eliminates additional electrical wires - such as tracks or wires - between contact pins and pins. As a result, the risk of an interruption of the electrical contact and thus a failure of the actuator is reduced.
From the foregoing description, numerous modifications will be apparent to those skilled in the art without departing from the scope of the invention, which is defined by the claims.
Thus, the connection body 10 or 20 and the contact pins 11, 12 and 13, 14 may be formed such that two or more IC components of the control electronics can be connected.
The electric motor does not need to be designed as shown in the figures, but is adapted according to the application. The electric motor is e.g. formed as a stepping motor, brushless DC motor or reluctance stepper motor.
The number of pins does not need to correspond to the number shown in the figures, but is adapted to the type of electric motor used.
