In diesen «Totzeiten» stören diese Bildschirme oft und passen nicht ins Gesamtbild oder nicht zur atmosphärischen Situation. Flachbildschirme nehmen auch in diesen nicht genutzten Perioden ihren Platz an der Wand ein und werden normalerweise nicht abmontiert. Diese Wandfläche liegt somit ungenutzt brach. Gerade an öffentlichen Orten kostet diese ungenutzte Fläche Geld, was unökonomisch und nicht effizient ist. Eine flexible Nutzung der Wandfläche ist nicht möglich. Die Platzverhältnisse an öffentlichen Wänden, in Galerien und Museen wie auch an privaten Wohnzimmerwänden sind oft begrenzt oder sollen bewusst nicht überladen wirken. [0012] In Fig. 1 ist die Vorrichtung in Form einer U-förmigen Halterung 3 aus einem Basisschenkel a, einem Verbindungsschenkel b und einem Trägerschenkel c per se gezeigt, ohne eine an der Stirnseite c befestigte Wandverkleidung und ohne die am Basisschenkel a anliegende Wand oder standfeste Einrichtung. Die Vorrichtung schliesst als wesentliches Merkmal diese Halterung in U-förmiger Gestalt mit den drei Schenkeln a, b und c ein. Die Längenverhältnisse der drei Schenkel a, b und c können je nach den gegebenen Grössenverhältnissen des zu verdeckenden Gegenstandes und der Wandverkleidung frei gewählt werden. Im Weiteren sind die Montageeinheiten 5 an der Frontseite des Trägerschenkels c und 6 am Basisschenkel a der Halterung gezeigt. Diese Montageeinheiten bilden die Verbindungselemente zwischen Wand und Halterung sowie zwischen Halterung und Verkleidung. Es ist allerdings nicht zwingend nötig, dass die Halterung U-förmig ist. Je nach Umständen kann die Halterung auch rahmenartig, L-förmig oder anderswie gestaltet sein. Eine L-förmige Variante eignet sich etwa dann, wenn die verschiebbare Wandverkleidung selbst einen starken Rahmen aufweist. In diesem Fall kann der eine kurze Schenkel der L-förmigen Halterung an der einen Rahmenseite befestigt sein, sodass er senkrecht zur Wand steht, und der andere Schenkel ist dann verschiebbar gelagert an der Wand befestigt. Wichtigster Zweck der Halterung ist, dass sie die verschiebbare Abdeckung sicher halten kann und gleichzeitig die laterale Verschiebung derselben ermöglicht. Für diese Verschiebung können auf Rädern oder Rollen gelagerte Schienenelemente (Fig. 1a) oder Gleitschienenelemente (Fig. 1 b, 7) verwendet werden, oder aber auch gleitende teleskopartige Elemente. Wichtig ist, dass die Halterung beweglich gelagert ist und ein Verschieben sowohl am Basisschenkel a wie auch am Trägerschenkel c garantiert. Zudem ist es zweckmässig, für sehr schwere oder grosse Wandverkleidungen die Vorrichtung und ihre Halterung 3 durch zusätzliche Verstrebungen, die durch Verbindungselemente 15 verbunden sein können, zu verstärken. In Fig. 2b ist dies gestrichelt eingezeichnet. Am grundsätzlichen Mechanismus ändert sich dabei nichts. Anstatt dass ein Bild vor einen Flatscreen verschoben wird oder von diesem weggeschoben wird, um ihn freizulegen, kann umgekehrt auch der Flatscreen selbst verschiebbar montiert sein. Auch andere Bewegungsrichtungen sind denkbar; im Prinzip kann jegliche Bewegungsrichtung des Kreises (360°) durch die entsprechende Montage realisiert werden.
