Abstract

Accumulator of potential energy stores energy by mean so finert mass raised to a given extent, utilizing various sources of clean renewable energy. The accumulated potential energy is used at times when it is necessary, making use of the kinetic energy produced by the weight (2) made to drop by the force of gravity. An adjustable lamp is placed either on a support tower or on a frame for fixture to a wall. The weight is hooked onto a chain (3) and raised to a specific extent under the support tower (5) by means of a grip (4) connected to the other end of the chain. The chain runs over a pinion (6), which allows the weight to be raised freely without interference with the electricity production mechanism. When the grip is released, the weight starts to drop under the force of gravity. With the kinetic force developed the pinion is set in motion via the chain. The pinion motivates via a bolt (7) a series of gearwheels placed in a cassing (8) which increase the speed of rotation of the output shaft (9) on which a dynamo (10) is mounted. This provides the electrical energy necessary for feeding the luminous diode lamp (1) via the electrical cable (11).

Description

[0001] As a concrete example of embodiment of the invention, reference can be made to the attached drawings fig. 1 and fig. 2.

[0002] A luminous diode lamp 1 which lights up using the kinetic energy of a weight 2, which, falling by force of gravity, transforms its accumulated potential energy, after having been raised at a given height, with muscle strength.

[0003] The adjustable lamp is placed either on a support tower or on a frame to be fixed to any wall.

[0004] In the attached drawing fig.

1 for illustrative purposes, the invention can be described as follows.

[0005] The weight 2 is hooked to a chain 3 and raised at a given height, inside the support tower 5, by means of a handle 4 connected to the other, the chain ends.

[0006] By pulling the handle by hand, the potential energy accumulator is charged downwards.

[0007] The chain 3 slides on a pinion 6 equipped with a ratchet which allows the weight to be lifted freely without interfering with the mechanisms for producing electricity.

Once the handle 4 is released, the weight 2 begins to fall due to gravity and with the developed kinetic energy rotates the pinion 6, which is hung up by means of the ratchet, through the chain 3.

[0008] The pinion 6 moves, by means of the pin 7, a series of toothed wheels located in the box 8 which serve to increase the speed of rotation of the output shaft 9 on which the dynamo 10 is inserted.

[0009] This provides the electrical energy needed to power the light-emitting diode lamp 1 through the electric cable 11. In the attached drawing fig. 2 the invention can be described by way of explanation in the following manner.

[0010] The weight 2 is hooked to a cable 12 and is raised, at a given height, by wrapping the cable on a spool 13 equipped with a ratchet.

The spool is made to turn by the crank 14.

[0011] By releasing the crank 14 after charging, the weight 2 begins to fall by gravity and with its kinetic energy rotates the spool 13 which is re-attached to the pin 7 by means of the ratchet.

[0012] The pin 7 sets in motion the series of mechanisms already described in the previous example so as to supply the necessary energy to the diode bulb 1.

All the equipment presented on the attached drawing fig. 2 is fixed to the frame 15 and can be applied to any kind of wall.

[0013] The energy of the accumulator is proportional both to the altitude at which the inert mass is raised and to its weight.

[0014] The lifting of the weight 2, and therefore the charge of the potential energy accumulator, could possibly be carried out by exploiting wind energy, solar energy or other sources of renewable energy.
