Fig. 2 einen Schnitt entlang der Linie II-II der Fig. 1,
The invention relates to a device for feeding steel from a bottom outflow of an intermediate vessel into a continuous casting mold according to the preamble of claim 1.
It is known to feed liquid steel from an intermediate vessel to one or more continuous casting molds. In the case of small strand cross-sections, the steel can be fed directly into the mold from an open floor spout without slide or plug control. In the case of sequence castings, the service life of the refractory lining of the intermediate vessel is generally determined by the service life of the floor drain. If faults occur on the continuous caster, such as a breakthrough, during the casting, open floor spouts can be closed with a copper plug. A reopening can be done by burning with an oxygen lance, an injury to the nozzle stone and a resulting unsatisfactory pouring jet cannot be ruled out.
In order to overcome the disadvantages mentioned, pouring nozzles are also provided with stopper or slide control devices in continuous casting plants for billet and bloom blocks.
From DE-AS 1 299 804, which forms the preamble of claim 1, a closing device for a pouring stone is known, which consists of a slide plate. Open guide rails are arranged on both sides of the pouring stone, in which slide plates are guided transversely to the outflow direction and a first slide plate is pushed out of the pouring position by means of a movement device attached to the circumference of the pouring vessel and a second slide plate is brought into the pouring position.
The production of such a slide plate, the length and width of which is five to ten times the diameter of the pouring nozzle, is expensive. The large sliding surface, which forms a sliding surface compared to the pouring stone, must be ground with high precision. If such slide plates are reduced in size, they heat up so much together with their sheet metal jacket, the sliding guides and their suspensions that they are unusable after a relatively short time. Furthermore, the length of the plates' displacement path is imprecise, which leads to an insufficient match between the bore of the pouring stone and the pouring opening of the slide plate.
Also proposed stops to limit the insertion movement are not satisfactory because they have to be removed before the old plate is pushed out and used again when positioning the new plate. Another disadvantage of this device is the oxidation of the steel beam between the slide and the mold. This system cannot therefore be used with oxygen-sensitive steels.
The invention is therefore based on the object of providing a device for supplying steel from a base spout of an intermediate vessel into a continuous casting mold, which overcomes the disadvantages mentioned above and in particular also enables casting without the access of atmospheric oxygen. The device for feeding steel is also intended to increase safety in the event of malfunctions, enable safe restarting and casting at different pull-out speeds while a casting is in progress.
According to the invention, this object is achieved by the sum of the features of claim 1.
The use of a mobile pouring nozzle body together with a shielding of the atmospheric oxygen allows the casting of steels with increased quality characteristics. In the case of long sequence castings, pouring nozzles can also be replaced if they start to clog the nozzle openings due to excessive flow or due to the deposition of aluminum oxide deposits. In the case of high-performance continuous casting plants that run at a significantly higher casting speed after a casting period, the casting performance can be easily adapted to the casting parameters currently required by changing the casting nozzle.
The fastening of the guide rails and the movement device for the interchangeable parts as well as a sealing ring for a bellows on the base plate ensures that the entire device is independent of uncontrollable dimensions of the casting vessel. Furthermore, this type of installation enables the entire device on the tundish to be changed quickly.
The sealing ring can have a bore for a piston rod of the piston-cylinder unit. In the rest position, the piston rod seals the bore in the sealing ring against air ingress into a space shielded by the bellows. In addition, supply and discharge lines for the gas circulation system for cooling the holding frame can be arranged in the sealing ring.
The approximately rectangular or square holding frame has a conical receiving opening in the center for a conical casting nozzle body. The round shape of the pouring nozzle body results in the smallest possible annular sealing surface between the pouring nozzle body and the pouring stone. According to an advantageous exemplary embodiment, the width of this annular sealing surface is 0.5 to 1.5 times the central nozzle bore.
The bellows is usually attached to the mold table and can be lifted and lowered against the upper sealing ring. If the holding frame is cooled with a protective gas, this cooling gas can be used as a preheated protective gas in the bellows after cooling the holding frame.
The guide between the holding frame for the casting nozzle body and the guide rails can be designed as a simple sliding guide. According to a further exemplary embodiment, it is proposed to guide the guide strips in groove-shaped guideways and to let gas supply openings open into the grooves. The length of the groove of the guide strips is chosen approximately twice as long as the length of a holding frame. This guarantees that the second holding frame is inserted.
The air cooling of the holding frame enables a large reduction in the size of the pouring nozzle body, which in turn allows such pouring nozzles to be produced economically with narrow tolerances. The use of the mobile pouring nozzle body also helps to optimize the use of the intermediate vessels and thus helps to reduce costs and increase the performance of the continuous casting plant.
The moving device for the exchangeable parts can remain in its working position during the casting operation. In order to ensure unimpeded access and a clear view for inserting interchangeable parts into the guides, according to a further exemplary embodiment the movement device for the interchangeable parts can be suspended on an axis parallel to the movement axis of the interchangeable part and pivoted about a axis between a rest position and a working position his.
In casting operation, a blocking stone is hung in the guide rails as an interchangeable part. It serves to block the pouring stream in the event of a fault. It can be pushed under the pouring stone at any time using a push-button switch. According to a further embodiment, it is also possible to connect the movement device for the exchangeable part to a bath level measuring device and to automatically control the alternating movement via a computer when a maximum or a minimum bath level height is exceeded.
In the following, the invention is to be additionally explained with reference to figures.
Show:
1 is a vertical section through a bottom spout of an intermediate vessel,
2 shows a section along the line II-II of FIG. 1,
Fig. 3 is a section along the line III-III of Fig. 2 and
Fig. 4 is a view / section of a suspension of the movement device for the interchangeable part.
1 to 3 show an example of a device for feeding steel from a floor pouring spout, an intermediate vessel 2 being shown only by embedding a pouring stone 3. An arrow 4 shows the outflow direction of the cast metal. A change part 6 is in the casting position. Open guide rails 7, 7 min with screws 8 and springs 9 are elastically connected to a base plate 10 on both sides of this interchangeable part 6 or the pouring stone 3.
The interchangeable part 6 consists of a holding frame 12 made of steel, which carries a pouring nozzle body 11. The holding frame 12 is equipped with guide strips 14 which are guided in grooves 15 of the guide rails 7, 7 min. So that the guide rails 7, 7 min apply an elastic pressing force to the guide strips 14 or to the pouring nozzle body 11 in a direction towards the pouring stone 3, they are elastically attached to the base plate 10.
As best seen in FIG. 2, the guide rail 7 is connected to a gas circulation system, represented by a gas supply line 17. Gas is supplied from the gas supply line 17 via bores 18 into the guide strips 14 for cooling the holding frame 12. If the holding frame 12 is in the casting position, the gas outlet openings 19 of the guide rail 7 are in line with the gas inlet openings 21 of the guide rails 14. The cooling gas flows through a cooling groove 23 in the holding frame 12 and leaves it on the opposite side via the guide rail 7 min. In this example, protective gas, such as nitrogen or an inert gas, flows into a space closed by means of bellows 31.
So that the bellows 31 seals against the intermediate vessel, a sealing surface 20 is attached to the base plate 10 on a sealing ring 20 min, which surrounds the guide rails 7, 7 min. Outside the sealing ring 20 min, a Kol benzylinder unit 30 is flanged to the base plate 10, which is provided as a movement device for the interchangeable parts. A piston rod 32 of the piston-cylinder unit 30 is located in a bore 33 of the sealing ring for 20 minutes. In the rest position, the piston rod 32 seals the bore 33 against air ingress into a space shielded by the bellows 31. Supply and discharge lines for the gas circulation system for cooling the holding frame 12 can also be arranged in the sealing ring 20 min.
The bellows 31, which is only hinted at in FIGS. 1 and 3 and is known in the prior art, is attached to the mold table and can be lifted up to the sealing ring for 20 minutes with a lifting and lowering device. If an anti-oxidation gas is used as the cooling gas, the cooling gas can open inside the bellows 31 after the cooling function has been fulfilled.
The entire changing device is attached to the base plate 10, which can be easily attached and removed on the intermediate vessel base by means of screws or wedges, etc. In addition, a conical guide 37 is provided on the base plate 10 for centering and height positioning of the pouring stone 3.
For a precise positioning of the pouring nozzle body 11 or a blocking stone 38, a conical receiving opening 39 for a frustoconical pouring nozzle body 11 or blocking stone 38 is provided in the holding frame 12, 12 min. The service life of the pouring nozzle body 11 can be extended if the ratio of the diameter of the nozzle bore to the height of the pouring nozzle body is 1: 2 to 1: 5, preferably 1: 3 to 1: 4. Within the scope of the invention, the pouring nozzle body can be extended in such a way that the outflow opening is located a few cm above a mold or in the bath level.
A sealing surface 40 between the pouring stone 3 and the pouring nozzle body 14 is annular and can be machined as a high-precision sealing surface with little effort. The width of the annular surface is 0.5 to 2 times, preferably 1 to 1.5 times the central nozzle bore.
The blocking stone 38 can be made of ceramic or metallic material.
In Fig. 4, the same reference numerals as in Figs. 1 to 3 are used for parts that remain the same. In contrast to FIG. 3, the movement device, which is designed, for example, as a piston-cylinder unit 30, can be pivoted out of its working position 56 into a rest position 55. For this purpose, a lever 52 is suspended from an axis 50, which is arranged parallel to the axis of movement 51 of the interchangeable part 6. The piston-cylinder unit 30 is fastened to this lever 52. If a new interchangeable part is to be inserted under the pouring nozzle, the bellows 31 is lowered in order to gain access to the open guide rails 7, 7 min.
After manual insertion of the new interchangeable part 6 into the open guide rails 7, 7 min, shortly before the interchangeable part 6 is exchanged, the lever 52 with the piston-cylinder unit 30 is pivoted into the working position 56, as shown in dash-dotted lines, and held in place by the holding device 57. After replacing the new with the old interchangeable part 6, the bellows 31 is brought back into the sealing position.
The exchange of an interchangeable part by means of the piston-cylinder unit 30 usually takes place with the bellows lowered. If, in the event of a malfunction, the alternating movement is additionally controlled by a bath level measuring device, the piston-cylinder unit remains in the working position even when the bellows is closed and can therefore close the pouring opening on the intermediate vessel at any time in emergencies. This significantly increases safety when the casting operation is closed.
The pivot axis 50 is arranged outside the bellows 31. Depending on the local space conditions, a vertical axis for the pivoting of the piston-cylinder unit 30 could be provided instead of the horizontal pivot axis 50.
