- nella fig. 1 la vista ingrandita della sezione longitudinale mediana di un orologio secondo l'invenzione;
The present invention relates to the watchmaking field, and, more particularly, it concerns a new type of watch, the novelty of which is that it is provided, preferably on the dial and / or on the part of the case that surrounds the glass which it protects the dial of a plurality of light bulbs or LEDs, which a microprocessor incorporated in the watch selectively switches on and according to various possible predetermined modes, for example when a certain period of time has elapsed, or when the watch is hit by sound waves, or when the environment around the watch reaches a certain temperature or pressure.
The advantages offered by a watch according to the invention are evident: it can function as a visual "alarm" without or with an acoustic signal placed side by side, it can visually signal the achievement of a certain temperature, or of a predetermined depth and / or of a certain time of immersion or pause to ascend a diver, the altitude reached by a climber, or even simply illuminate the said LEDs (which can have multiple different colors) selectively and according to different sequences depending on the acoustic frequencies of a piece of music that it is played in the room where the clock itself is placed, adding a further amusing aspect to those usually offered by listening to music and dancing.
To obtain the results mentioned above, the inventor devised the object of the present invention, which consists of a clock characterized by what is set out in the characterizing part of the attached claim 1.
A better and more detailed description of the invention according to a possible embodiment thereof will now be carried out with reference also to the attached drawings, which represent:
- in fig. 1 an enlarged view of the median longitudinal section of a watch according to the invention;
- in fig. 2 is a perspective view of a watch according to the invention, in the wrist version.
Considering fig. 1, there is seen the middle section of an example of a watch according to the invention, in which a microprocessor 5 is used to achieve the particular purposes of the invention which can also serve for the primary function of the watch as a timepiece. Similarly, the battery 6 of the clock is used to switch on and flash the LEDs, preferably with a capacity greater than that of the batteries usually used for the primary operation of the clock only.
It is obvious that the results that the invention aims can also be obtained by inserting one or more batteries, a microprocessor and the LEDs in a clock with mechanical movement; this solution involves cost increases and a certain complication in the execution, which is why a more detailed description is omitted, also because it is conceivable in an obvious way by a person skilled in the art.
Returning to the case depicted in fig. 1 it can be seen how multiple LEDs 4i are applied on the dial 3, which are put under voltage by the microprocessor 5, according to how the latter is programmed, according to different modes and according to the parameters that activate the microprocessor itself.
Depending on the type of conditions from which you want the microprocessor to be activated, you must then insert one or more probes or sensors into the clock (not shown) enabled to acknowledge an external condition (temperature, pressure, acoustic frequency) and to transmit an analog type signal to the microprocessor, activating it.
A command 7 (fig. 2) can be predisposed to insert the activation of the microprocessor or exclude it when it is not necessary.
A further manual operation 8 can be used to select the parameter (temperature, pressure, time elapsed, etc.) which can activate the microprocessor 5, or also to carry out the charge and movement of the hands in the event that the clock is mechanically operated. , as discussed below.
To make a watch according to the present invention, normal components already existing on the market can be used, therefore the resulting cost is not high, while the performances offered are new and of considerable use for the user.
A watch according to the invention can be made in all known versions, even if the inventor particularly prefers the wrist or pocket versions.
The embodiments can similarly vary, differing from those so far described and represented in the drawings.
Any other construction which uses the concepts set out in the appended claims will fall within the scope of the protection conferred by the present patent application.
