Abstract

The timepiece includes hour and minute hands (6,7) which display local time w.r.t. a fixed dial (5) carrying Arabic numerals at 30 deg. spacing all round, or at the quarters only. To indicate simultaneously the time of another zone, the rim (9) of the dial is engraved with Roman numerals and can be rotated through 30 deg. or an integral multiple of the rotation. The name of a place in that zone is visible through a window (11). ADVANTAGE - Local time and that of a preselected different zone are legible immediately from a device which can occupy a conventional case with min. modification.
