The invention relates to a device for simultaneously driving and in the same direction of rotation, at least two parallel shafts.
The shafts are for example the control shafts of three poles of a three-phase circuit breaker.
In this application, a rod-crank system is currently used for each of the driven shafts.
Such a device has several drawbacks.
A connecting rod-crank system provides the driven shaft with a periodically canceling torque, so that the passage of the top and bottom dead centers can only be done thanks to the inertia of the moving parts. It is therefore pointless to lighten the device below a certain threshold and impossible to reduce the operating energy below a certain value.
Furthermore, a triple rod-crank system, for the simultaneous drive of three shafts, requires placing the rods and cranks in different planes, from which a large volume of the device results.
A first object of the invention is to provide a device in which the torque is never zero on one of the driven shafts. Another object of the invention is to provide a device having a reduced volume.
Another object of the invention is to provide a drive device allowing rapid coupling of the shafts to be driven with the driving shaft.
The invention relates to a device for driving in simultaneous rotation and in the same direction at least two parallel shafts driven by a drive shaft parallel to said driven shafts characterized in that it comprises a flat part whose plane is perpendicular to the plane of said driven and driving trees, said part receiving a first crank pin connected by a crank to the driving shaft and second crank pins each connected by a crank to one of said driven trees.
According to one embodiment, the crank pins connected by crank to the driven shafts are axes with heads oriented in the same direction, the crank comprising a disc provided with a radial lumen in which said axis with head engages.
Advantageously, the driven shaft rests on a cradle support.
In a particular mode of application to the drive of three shafts, the three crank pins connected by crank to the driven shafts are aligned.
The invention is clarified by the description of a preferred embodiment of the invention, with reference to the attached drawing in which:
- fig. 1 is an elevational view of the device of the invention, according to a first embodiment,
- fig. 2 is a sectional view along line II-II of FIG. 1,
- fig. 3 is a schematic exploded perspective view of the device of the invention according to an alternative embodiment,
- fig. 4 is a side view of the device of FIG. 3.
In fig. 1 and 2, the references 1, 2 and 3 denote parallel and coplanar shafts, for example shafts for operating the three poles of a three-phase circuit breaker; reference 4 designates a control shaft parallel to the aforementioned shafts, intended to transmit its rotational movement to the shafts 1, 2 and 3.
To obtain a simultaneous rotation and in the same direction of the trees 1 to 3, the device of the invention comprises a flat part 5, made for example of sheet metal 2 mm thick, the plane of which is perpendicular to the driven and leading trees .
In this example, the part is triangular but this shape is not compulsory, the contour of the part can be arbitrary and chosen so as to achieve the best economy in cutting and material.
To the tops of the part are fixed crank pins 10, 20 and 30 associated with cranks 11, 21 and 31 wedged respectively on the shafts 1, 2 and 3 by means of pins 12, 13, 14.
The pin and the part 5 are secured together because the part 5 is inserted between a head of the lug (such as 20A, fig. 2) and a circlip (20B).
In the vicinity of the foot of the bisector of the obtuse angle of the part 5 is placed a crank pin 40, identical to the previous crank pins, and serving as an axis for a crank 41 wedged on the control shaft 4 by a pin 42.
For reasons of convenience, the crank pin 40 is placed on one side of the part 5 opposite the face carrying the other three crank pins, but this arrangement is not compulsory.
The 4 cranks 11, 21, 31 and 41 are arranged in parallel with one another and are oriented in the same direction (the crank orientation means the crankpin-shaft direction).
Thanks to the arrangement of the invention, any movement of the shaft 4 is transmitted instantaneously and in the same direction, to the other three shafts.
The part, 5 can be lightened by practicing in the part 5 days such as those which appear at 51 and 52 in FIG. 1.
Furthermore, it can be stiffened by giving its periphery the form of angles such as 53, 54 and 55.
Thanks to the presence of a part 5 animated by a rotational movement in its plane, (or circular translation) the torques transmitted to the respective driven shafts are out of phase with each other, so that one never has zero torque on the shafts driven during a complete rotation of the assembly.
Furthermore, the part driven by a circular translational movement makes it possible to keep a single plane for the transmission of the movement to the driven shafts, whatever their number, which, in the practical case of controlling circuit breakers for example, makes it possible to reduce the volume and size of the equipment.
Figs. 3 and 4 illustrate an alternative embodiment allowing great speed of the coupling operations of the shafts led to the driving shaft.
The elements common to Figs. 3 and 4 and in the preceding figures have been given the same reference numbers.
In fig. 3, there is a part 5, provided with three bores 61, 62, 63 for the passage of the crank pins for driving the driven shafts and a bore 64 for the passage of a crank pin for the drive of the driving shaft.
One of the crankpins has been shown: it comprises an axis 71 provided with a head 81.
The other crankpins, not shown, are oriented in the same direction.
The driving crank of the driven shaft 91 consists of a disc 101 provided with a radial slot 111 in which the axis 91 engages.
The shaft 91 rests on a cradle 121 of a support 131, by means of a sleeve 141 with bearing 151.
In fig. 4, a further distinction is made between the driving shaft 84 and its crank 104 connected, by a crank pin 74 with an axis brake 164, to the part 5.
Thanks to the above arrangements, the coupling operations are greatly simplified: installation of the pole on a cradle support and stowage.
There is no need to clip the driven cranks.
The flat part is held by the head of the axes and the clipping on the driving crank.
The invention finds an application in particular for multipole circuit breakers in which the moving parts are moved by rotary shafts. It applies more generally whenever you want to train several trees simultaneously.
