Abstract

A frame has at least one wing supported on theframe, with the sides of frame and wing including respective box-type mouldings and at least one integral large rib extending along part or all the mouldings. A chamber is pref. formed longitudinally through the rib and houses a metal stiffener insert (14). A rib is pref. of semicircular cross-section, and an outwardly-open longitudinal groove is formed in the rib. The insert is pref. tubular, and e.g. of steel. The plastics is e.g. PVC and the grooves can support dimming and radiation attenuating arrangements for glass panes.

Il serramento in materiale plastico-sintetico secondo il presente trovato è risultato notevolmente più robusto, rigido e stabile dei serramenti convenzionali, e si presta quindi ad essere vantaggiosamente utilizzato per finestre e simili di grandi dimensioni in particolare di abitazioni, uffici ed anche per il restauro di edifici storici. Plastic-synthetic frame for windows and the like, of the type comprising a frame (2) and at least one door (4, 5) supported by the frame (2), sides of said frame (2) and of said at least one wing (4, 5) including respective box-like profiles (2a-2d, 4a-4d, 5a-5d), characterized in that it comprises at least one respective rib (12) extended along at least part of said profiles (2a-2d, 4a -4d, 5a-5d), said rib (12) being formed in one piece with the respective profile and having predetermined large dimensions.

Plastic-synthetic frame according to claim 1, characterized in that it comprises a chamber (13) formed longitudinally in said rib (12), as well as a metal stiffening insert (14) housed in said chamber (13).
