BESCHREIBUNG
DESCRIPTION
The invention relates to a method for producing molded parts from thermoplastic or thermosetting plastic, in which the plastic mass is supplied to an open mold cavity after the preparation.
The dough-shaped polyester resin molding compound is relatively poor and is difficult to handle in processing. So far, the processing of the sauerkraut-like mass in German language has been carried out in a complex manner in two work steps. The dosed material is cut off by a knife when extruding after reaching the set dosing stroke using a screw or piston.
Then this strand-like plastic mass is inserted into an open mold for pressing.
In another known method, the plastic mass is inserted into the open mold cavity in the form of mats made of thermosetting or thermoplastic.
In both the first and the second method mentioned, the insertion of the fiber-reinforced plastic mass into the mold by hand results in inadequacies which have a negative effect on the dimensional stability and strength of the moldings.
It is therefore an object of the invention to provide a method of the type mentioned at the outset, with which greater strength and stability can be achieved on the moldings with inexpensive working technology with optimal fiber distribution.
According to the invention, this object is achieved in that the plastic mass from the injection unit of an injection molding machine is inserted into the mold cavity with an increased throughput compared to pre-plastification and is pressed immediately thereafter.
This procedure combines the advantages of the careful preparation of a fiber-containing plastic mass with the rational processing during pressing.
Accordingly, when carrying out the method according to the invention, an injection unit of an injection molding machine is suitable in which the outlet opening of the plastic compound can be brought between the open molded parts.
It proves to be particularly advantageous if the outlet opening of the injection unit is designed as a nozzle device with at least one through opening for the plastic compound, in order to be able to achieve an improvement in the distribution.
The passage openings of the nozzle device can advantageously be designed such that they can be controlled alternately, as a result of which the flow cross-section can be advantageously adapted to the mold cavity to be charged.
The nozzle device proves to be excellent in use if it is designed to be movable between the molded parts, so that universal use can take place which takes account of the different mold cavities.
The mobility of the nozzle device can expediently be coupled to a control so that repetitive movements can be carried out automatically.
The movement of the nozzle device can be made controllable relative to the mold, so that it would be possible to move the mold when inserting the plastic compound.
At the same time, the exit speed and / or the amount of plastic mass from the nozzle device could also be controllable.
To achieve a better alignment of the fibers, the passage openings of the nozzle device can be designed to narrow in the flow direction of the plastic compound.
The arrangement of a controllable cutting device on the nozzle device, which interrupts the mass flow at the end of the amount of plastic intended for a mold cavity, has proven to be advantageous.
Further details and advantages of the invention will become apparent from the following description and the schematic drawing, which represents an embodiment.
The single figure shows an isometric representation of the injection unit of an injection molding machine between an open mold cavity.
In the single figure, a section of an injection molding machine or its injection unit 1 for processing the plastic compound is illustrated. At the end of the injection unit 1 lying in the flow direction, a nozzle device 2 is arranged, which is equipped with at least one passage opening provided for discharging the plastic compound.
The plastic compound emerging in the form of a strip is preferably spread uniformly over the telescopically actuatable extension 3 onto the bottom surface 4 of the mold cavity of the lower molded part 5 of a two-part mold 6. This lower molded part 5 rests on a press plate 7 connected to the machine bed. Above the lower mold part 5 there is an upper mold part 8, provided for pressing the plastic mass, which is actuated in the vertical direction as shown and is designed to be plunged into the mold cavity on its underside.
