Description
BESCHREIBUNG DESCRIPTION
The invention relates to a method for measuring the luminance of the areas of the sky which are at least relevant to the lighting conditions in the interior of a building and the surrounding areas of the exterior, the measurement results being fed to an evaluation device which controls the lighting situation of at least selected zones in the interior, for example workplaces , as well as facilities for carrying out the process.
It is known to provide individual measuring cells for determining luminance values of daylight in order to automatically control the lighting situation of interiors on the outside of buildings or other selected places outdoors. Such isolated measuring cells are now unable to detect the luminance distribution of the exterior (sky, floor, building) in such a way that control of the lighting situation of the interior can be obtained that is adapted to the actual conditions.
The invention has now set itself the task of creating a method and devices for its implementation, with the help of which the luminance distribution in the open can be measured as originally and completely as possible in order to achieve an improved, energy-saving lighting situation in the interior.
According to the invention, this object is now achieved in that the outer space is divided into solid angle areas, in the center of which a measuring device is arranged, and that the luminance of the section of the sky or the surrounding areas assigned to each solid angle area is measured individually, each measurement result being fed separately to the evaluation device becomes.
The subdivision into solid angle areas, which in a preferred embodiment are not greater than 0.2 sr, at least covers the surrounding areas which are relevant for the lighting conditions in the interiors, and this enables a differentiated recording of the luminance distribution. Each measurement result is derived from a small, precisely defined section of the surroundings, e.g. the sky, a reflecting wall of an adjacent building, a terrain shape, etc. All of these different measurement data, which are fed individually to the evaluation device, are processed there taking various parameters into account, and measures are subsequently taken, at least in selected zones of the interior, for the desired lighting situation. These measures include, for example, the connection of artificial light with the required illuminance, the actuation and adjustment of sun protection devices, anti-glare devices, etc. The targeted connection of the artificial light achieves reduced energy consumption without deteriorating the lighting conditions.
A first device for carrying out the method according to the invention is characterized in that a measuring cell that detects a solid angle range is arranged in a measuring device so that it can be pivoted on all sides radially to the center point. Starting from a certain starting position, the measuring cell sweeps in sequence all solid angle ranges, for example by pivoting it along an arcuate frame which is itself arranged on a drivable turntable. The measuring cell can thus record the entire outside space within a short period of time, for example a few minutes, the measurement results hardly differing from a simultaneous recording of all solid angle ranges, since the luminance of the sky and the surrounding areas generally does not change immediately.
A second device, which measures the luminance of all the relevant surrounding areas at the same time, provides that a large number of measuring cells in a measuring head, essentially uniformly distributed over its surface, are fixed radially to the center, each of the measuring cells detecting a solid angle range.
Somit werden auch Messsignale weitergeleitet, die die The measuring head can have an approximately hemispherical shape and can be attached to a stand that can be mounted, for example, on the roof of the building. The angle between the axes of two measuring cells is preferably below 20 °. In addition, in order to also detect the luminance of the ground or the subsurface, for example in the case of snow, at least some additional measuring cells directed towards the subsurface can be arranged on the measuring head. Thus, measurement signals are also forwarded, which the

Leuchtdichte des Bodens einzeln nach Raumwinkelbe-reichen erfassen. Record the luminance of the floor individually according to the solid angle ranges.
Each measuring cell of the measuring head preferably consists of a tube piece, on the end of which is arranged near the center of the measuring head, a photo element is arranged. As a result, side light rays falsifying the measurement result, which do not strike the assigned solid angle region, are largely switched off, in particular if the end of the measuring cell that is distant from the center of the measuring head is also covered by a converging lens. An arrangement of the measuring cells in the measuring head that is as dense and uniform as possible can preferably be achieved in that each piece of pipe tapers towards the center and is in particular frustoconical.
The invention will now be described in more detail below with reference to the figures in the accompanying drawing, without being limited thereto.

. FIG. 1 shows a view of an approximately hemispherical measuring head 1, which protrudes from a plurality of measuring cells 2, which are distributed essentially uniformly over the surface. The measuring head 1 is placed on a central stand 8 on a base 9, for example on the roof of a building. Each of the measuring cells 2, one of which is shown in longitudinal section in FIG. 3, is formed from a tube section, in particular a truncated cone, at whose end facing the center 7 of the measuring head 1 a light-sensitive element, for example a photo cell 3, is arranged. On the outside, that is, at the end distant from the center, the tube section of the measuring cell 1 is covered by a converging lens 4, which bundles the incident light rays and concentrates them completely on the photocell 3. Cables extend from each measuring cell 2 to transmit the measuring signals to an evaluation device, not shown, which evaluates the incoming, individual measurement data, taking into account various parameters. The evaluation device is then used to control all the lighting situations in the interior, in particular in certain areas of the interior, such as workplaces, determining factors and devices, for example the artificial light switchover, the position of sun protection and anti-glare devices, such as curtains, shutters, mirror surfaces, light guide devices, etc. .

Due to the measuring cells 2, which are distributed essentially uniformly over the surface 6 of the measuring head 1, each measuring cell is assigned to a specific solid angle range, which is preferably at most 0.2 sr, so that the entire surrounding area is recorded without significant gaps, possibly also with overlaps. An improved detection can also be achieved in that the cross-sectional shape of the pipe sections of the measuring cells 2 are selected such that they are arranged close to one another. They can therefore not only be designed in the frustoconical shape shown with a round or elliptical cross section, but also have any other angular cross-sectional shape, so that they are pyramid-shaped. For better or easier filling of the surface 6, combinations of measuring cells 2 of different cross-sectional shapes are of course also conceivable. Furthermore, in order to reduce scattered light effects, the measuring cells 2 can be arranged radially offset in the manner shown in FIG. 4, so that part of the measuring cells 2 is recessed relative to the surface 6 of the measuring head 1, and another part can optionally also be arranged in an elevated manner.
1, additional, downward-pointing measuring cells 5 are indicated by dashed lines, which can be provided if the luminance of the background 9 is also to be included in the measurement results. This can be particularly advantageous in snow conditions, the influence of which on the lighting situation inside the building may not be negligible. Additional measuring cells 5 of this type are not required in warmer regions or at locations where the luminance of the substrate 9 has no appreciable influence on the lighting situation. It would also be conceivable to switch off these measuring cells 5 even when they are not required. Likewise, measuring cells 2 can also be switched off or not provided at all from the outset, if in special installation locations or in the case of special lighting conditions or building constructions it is not sensible to record the luminance of the entire surrounding area, but rather only one sector thereof. For example, in the case of free-standing buildings that have only one-sided window front due to a slope, it is not necessary to record the luminance of the entire exterior.
The determination of the luminance of the outside space in order to coordinate the lighting situation in the interior, for example for optimally illuminating a workplace, leads to the targeted use of the artificial lighting installed in the interior. If this is variable with regard to the switching state, the measuring head according to the invention and a corresponding control device can be used to optimize the lighting situation while at the same time saving energy.
