Fig. 1 eine Seiten-Ansicht eines Schneidwerkzeuges,

The invention relates to a cutting device for cutting a corrugated protective tube to length, as characterized in the preamble of claim 1.
When using plastic conduit pipes in buildings to forward a medium such. B.
Industrial water, it is necessary that these conduits in protective pipes are preferably also plastered out of plastic. These protective tubes are usually wave-shaped.
At the connection points, e.g. where the pipe has to be connected to a fitting by means of a pipe connection and the protective pipe to a junction box, it is necessary that the protective pipe has to be cut to a total length and a certain amount shorter than the pipe.
The protective tube must therefore be cut to length when the conduit is inserted.
So when cutting the protective tube by means of z. B.
a knife, the conduit is not damaged, it is known to insert a sleeve between the conduit and the protective tube. It is hardly possible to hold the conduit, the sleeve and the protective tube correctly in relation to each other so that they can be cut to the correct length. It has thus been shown in practice that the sleeve is often not pushed in, but damage or small incisions in the conduit can then be caused by the cutting knife.
Such damage can cause breaks in the conduit, which leads to considerable water damage in the buildings.
The object of the present invention is to provide a cutting tool of the type mentioned at the outset, by means of which, with simple handling, it is ensured that the protective tube is cut to size correctly and without damaging the conduit.
According to the invention, this is solved by the characterizing features of claim 1.
Further advantageous configurations are characterized in the dependent claims.
An embodiment of the invention is shown in the accompanying drawings and described below.
Show it:
1 is a side view of a cutting tool,
2 is a view of the end face with the cutting blades and with an inserted protective and conduit,
Fig. 3 is a section along the line III - III of Fig. 2 and
Fig. 4 is a partial section of Fig. 3 during the cutting process in an enlarged view.
The cutting tool has two cup-shaped jaws 1, which are connected to one another by means of a swivel joint 2. The swivel joint has a pin 3, on which a torsion spring 4 is mounted, the rod-shaped ends 5 of which bear against the inner contour of the jaws 1 and press them into an open position.
The jaws 1 are provided on their arcuate outer circumference with a plurality of side-by-side and circumferential recesses 6, through which the jaws 1 are designed to be suitable for handling, so that they can be pressed against one another by one hand against the pressure of the torsion spring.
At each end 7 of the jaws 1 there are two guide ribs 8, the edges 9 and
outer edges are V-shaped to each other. Each guide rib 8 is assigned a cutting knife 10, the cutting edges 11 of which all lie in a plane which is at an axial distance 12 from the guide ribs 8.
The cutting knives are designed as square plates - preferably square, with the cutting edges 11 being arranged on two longitudinal edges of the plates, as a result of which they run at a right angle to one another and form a cutting tip 13. The cutting edges 11 or the cutting tip 13 must not protrude beyond the outermost edge of the guide ribs 8, these are preferably set back by a radial distance 14 from the guide rib 8. (see Fig. 3)
Each cutting knife 10 is held non-rotatably in a recess 15 in the cheek end wall 16 and is fastened in an easily replaceable manner by means of a screw connection 17.
The cutting of a protective tube 20 over a certain length relative to the inserted conduit 21 is carried out as described below.
The two nested tubes 20 and 21 are placed between the open jaws 1 of the cutting tool in such a way that their ends, depending on the desired cutting length of the protective tube 20, either at the jaw end wall opposite the cutting blades 10
18 or come to rest at a mark 19 attached to the jaws 1.
The protective tube 20 must come to rest so that when the jaws 1 are pressed together, the guide ribs 8 come to rest in a groove 22 in the corrugated protective tube. As can be seen from FIG. 4, the cutting edges 11 then lie due to their axial distance 12 to the guide ribs 8 in the region of the large diameter 23 of the protective tube 20, so that when the two jaws 1 are pressed together by hand, the cutting edges 11 enter the protective tube 20 there penetration. The protective tube is separated by a rotation of more than 90 using the four knives arranged. As can be seen from Fig. 4. Damage to the conduit 21 during cutting is ruled out due to the displacement of the cutting edge 11 relative to the guide rib 8 according to the distance 14.
The very handy cutting tool ensures that the protective tube is cut quickly and accurately.
with standardized connecting parts, only two different cutting lengths are required. which are easily adjustable due to the length of the jaws and the marking.
