PATENTANSPRÜCHE

PATENT CLAIMS
1. bracelet for a wristwatch consisting of two parts (3, 4), each part of which has a fastening point for the watch case (1) at one of its ends and the other end of which is intended for mutual connection when the bracelet (2) is closed, characterized in that both parts (3, 4) consist of a uniformly corrugated material, and in that means are provided which positively connect the ends lying one on top of the other.
2. Bracelet according to claim 1, characterized in that the means have an elastically deformable material for the bracelet and a corrugation in which the wave crests are wider at the top than at the bottom, such that the parts deform elastically when pressed together and then form-fitting detachably lock.
The present invention relates to a bracelet for a wristwatch consisting of two parts, each part of which has an attachment point for the watch case at one end and the other end of which is intended for mutual connection when the bracelet is closed.
Bracelets of various shapes and from a wide variety of materials are known. In particular, metal bracelets are known, which have the disadvantage that major adjustments to the circumference of the wearer's wrist are either technically complex or cannot be carried out satisfactorily.
The present invention has for its object to provide a bracelet made of a dimensionally stable material such as metal or plastic, which can be adjusted within wide limits to the size of a wrist without the size of the bracelet affecting its aesthetics.
According to the invention, this object is achieved in that both parts consist of a uniformly corrugated material, and in that means are provided which positively connect the ends lying on one another.
The invention is explained, for example, with the aid of the attached schematic drawing. Show it:
1 is a perspective view of a bracelet attached to a wristwatch,
Fig. 2 shows a section in the plane II-I1 in Fig. 1 by the overlapping area of the two parts of the bracelet and
Fig. 3 is a perspective view of the bracelet ends just before their connection.
Fig. 1 shows a wrist watch 1, on which the two parts 3 and 4 of a bracelet 2 are attached. The ends of the two parts 3 and 4 removed from the wristwatch 1 overlap when the bracelet is closed. The overlapping ends of the two bracelet parts have corrugated surfaces facing one another and oriented transversely to the longitudinal direction of the bracelet, which engage with one another when the bracelet is closed and are thus connected to one another against a tensile force in the longitudinal direction of the bracelet.
Both parts 3 and 4 of the bracelet 2 are preferably made of corrugated sheet metal, which is elastically deformable at least to a small extent. Furthermore, the corrugation is carried out in such a way that the wave crests in the upper region 5 are wider than in the lower region 6. If the ends of the parts 3 and 4, as shown in FIG. 3, are placed on top of one another and pressed together in the direction of the parts shown, they deform the individual windings of the bracelet are so elastic that the wave crests of one part penetrate into the wave troughs of the other part and thus releasably lock.
The bracelet is opened by applying a force to the arrows shown in the opposite direction, the attack preferably being carried out on a tab 7.
One end is pulled off the other and the locking connection is released.
