PATENTANSPRÜCHE
Fig. 1 eine Ansicht des Schneidteils des Bohrers,
Fig. 2 einen Schnitt nach der Linie II-II in Fig. 1,
Fig. 3 eine Grundrissansicht in Richtung des Pfeiles III in Fig. 1.

PATENT CLAIMS
1. Three-minute twist drill, characterized in that the side rake angle (y) is degressive and is 20 to 50 degrees on the cutting corner (1) and 5 to 30 degrees at the end of the grooved part.
2. Drill according to claim 1, characterized in that the side rake angle (r) from the cutting corner (1) to the end of the grooved part changes continuously.
3. Drill according to claim 1, characterized in that the grooved part is tapered in the outer diameter in the direction of the shaft end.
4. Drill according to claim 1, characterized in that the guide chamfer width (2) is a maximum of 5% of the drill diameter.
5. Drill according to claim 1, characterized in that the core thinning (3) affects the main cutting edges (4) at most over a length (5) of 15% of the drill diameter.
6. Drill according to claim 1, characterized in that the core thickness (6) measured from the tip, on a length of 2 to 3 times the drill diameter, does not increase.
Three-minute drills have been in use for some time and have proven themselves.
The advantages are: - good centering properties - high dimensional accuracy of the bore
The steep side rake angle y, also called the helix angle or spiral angle, has had a disadvantageous effect when drilling, in particular for bores that are deeper than 5 times the drill diameter.
If the rake angle 7 is too steep, i.e. about 15 degrees to the drill axis 7, the side wedge angle ss on the cutting edges becomes too obtuse, i.e. against 60 degrees. Such a drill is not very sleek and increases the cutting force and thus the drilling time considerably. If it is too flat, d. H. about 35 degrees to the drill axis 7, the side wedge angle ss 40 degrees, so the drill is very sleek, but the chip removal is difficult and the grooves clog easily during drilling, the cutting forces increase, the friction and thus the heat development increases and it can be Drill break coming.
It is known that the circumferential force and the drilling torque decrease with increasing side rake angle 7 due to the decrease in the side wedge angle ss. In terms of size, the change in circumferential force and drilling torque corresponds to approximately 1.5% per degree of change in the lateral rake angle y.
A doubling of the side rake angle 7 from, for example, 20 degrees to 40 degrees thus results in a reduction of the cutting forces by 30%.
The purpose of the invention is to eliminate the difficulties mentioned, with the features set out in claim 1.
An exemplary embodiment is described below.
The drawing shows:
1 is a view of the cutting part of the drill,
2 shows a section along the line II-II in FIG. 1,
3 is a plan view in the direction of arrow III in FIG. 1st
The drill has the flutes 8. The hatched area 3 is the so-called tapering. The tapering length 5 affects the cutting edge 4 over a length that is a maximum of 15% of the drill diameter 9. The rake angle r at the cutting corner 1 is 20 to 50 degrees.
At the end of the grooved part, the side rake angle measures 5 to 30 degrees, i.e. that the side rake angle is degressive from the tip towards the drill shank. This course is preferably continuous. The side rake angle 7 of 40 degrees corresponds to a side wedge angle (3 of 40 degrees assuming that the clearance angle a 10 degrees has been selected.
With a side rake angle 7 of 15 degrees, the side wedge angle ss corresponds to 65 degrees on the assumption that the clearance angle a 10 degrees has been selected. The smaller the side wedge angle (3 is, the more sleek the drill. A degressive course of the side rake angle makes it possible for the drill to be sleek at the tip and the chip flow is not impeded. The cutting forces and friction, both important temperature influencing factors during drilling, remain low and consequently the heating is minimal. The grooved part is tapered in the outer diameter towards the end of the shaft.
The guide chamfer width 2 is a maximum of 5% of the drill diameter 9. The course of the core thickness 6 does not increase over a length of 2 to 3 times the drill diameter, i.e. so constant.
This drill is particularly suitable for the treatment of fractures called osteosynthesis; however, it is not restricted to this area of application.
Of course, a two-minute twist drill can also be manufactured with the inventive features. However, the advantages are not so significant and therefore no protection is claimed for this version.
