PATENTANSPRÜCHE
Fig. 1 einen Teller für einen Separator im Axialschnitt;
Fig. 2 denselben Teller in Ansicht in der Pfeilrichtung A in Fig. 1;

2. Separator according to claim 1, characterized in that the surface (6 or 7) of each guide rib (4), which is intended to be in contact with the precipitate (8), to the lateral surface of the body at an angle (ss) of 15 to 300 is inclined.
3. Separator according to one of claims 1 or 2, characterized in that the ratio of the distance (n) between two adjacent guide ribs (4) on the circumference of the smaller base of the body (3) to the length (1) of the generatrix of the body ( 3) is 0.1 to 0.3.
The present invention relates to a separator with conical disks which are combined in packs according to the preamble of claim 1.
The separator is suitable for the fine cleaning of oils, fuels, lubricants and coolants by removing mechanical impurities.
A separator with conical disks is known, which has an inner and an outer edge on the conical part and radial ribs as partitions on the conical surface. The number of ribs is 4 to 12. Such a separator with a conical plate has the following disadvantages:
1) A hydraulic force acts on a particle that has settled on the conical surface of the plate, which occurs when the liquid moves in a radial direction relative to the plate surface and contributes to the entrainment of the particle by the clarified liquid.
2) The presence of 4 to 12 radial ribs prevents the discharge of settled particles, but favors the swirling of the liquid flow and consequently the formation of vortices in the zone delimited by radial ribs between two adjacent plates in the plate pack.
These disadvantages are common to all conical plates that have radial ribs.
Also known is a conical plate for a separator, which has an outer and an inner edge on the conical part and pegs on the edges
Ribs are attached to the conical surface of the plate, the projection of which on a plane perpendicular to the axis of rotation represents part of a multi-start spiral. At any point on the spiral, the angle between the tangent and the velocity vector of the liquid flow in the direction of discharge of the disperse phase is 30-60. The height of the guide ribs is 0.2-0.5 of the tenon height, while the counter-current surface of each rib forms an angle with the plate surface that is equal to 900.
With such a design of the guide ribs, the particles are reliably retained by preventing them from being carried away by the clarified liquid.
However, the effectiveness of the cleaning decreases with the progressive increase in the throughput (speed) of the liquid, since the viscosity of the liquid decreases and the difference in the mass density of the particles and the liquid to be separated decreases and the size of the particles also decreases. The deposited particles run around the ribs according to the flow and are carried away by the clarified liquid.
The purpose of the invention is to increase the effectiveness of cleaning the liquid from impurities.
The invention is based on the object of proposing a separator with conical plates which are combined in packets and by means of which the discharge of finely dispersed particles together with the cleaned liquid phase can be reduced.
This object is achieved with a separator according to claim 1.
Additional alternative features have embodiments of the separator, which are designed according to claims 2 and 3.
The use of the separator according to the invention with conical disks which are combined in packets makes it possible to considerably increase the degree of separation of disperse systems and consequently to considerably increase the cleaning of the liquids from impurities.
The invention is explained below using exemplary embodiments which are illustrated in the accompanying drawings. Show it:
1 shows a plate for a separator in axial section.
Figure 2 shows the same plate in view in the direction of arrow A in Fig. 1.
3 shows a section III-III in FIG. 2 through the guide rib of a plate which is intended for the separation of heavy fractions; and
Fig. 4 shows a section IV-IV in Fig. 2 of a guide rib of a plate, which is intended for the separation of light fractions.
The proposed separator has cone plates combined in packets. Each cone plate has an outer edge 1 (Fig. 1, 2) and an inner edge 2 and a conical body 3 with guide ribs 4, which can be carried out either on the inner surface or on the outer surface of the conical body 3 of the plate. According to the embodiment shown, the ribs 4 are attached to the inner surface.
The height h of the rib corresponds to the selected distance between two adjacent cone plates (the adjacent plate 5 is shown with thin lines in FIGS. 1, 3 and 4) in a plate pack of a separator.
The conical surface of the plate is divided by these guide ribs 4 into a large number of independent, non-communicating channels through which the liquid flows.
The projections of the ribs 4 in the plane perpendicular to the axis of rotation represent part of a multi-start spiral (FIG. 2). The shape of the spiral is chosen so that the angle α between the normal at any point of any rib 4 and the generatrix the surface of the plate, which passes through the same point, is larger than the greatest possible friction angle of a precipitate on the plate surface.
The height h of the rib 4 is equal to the selected distance and determines the space between the adjacent plates.
Depending on whether it's heavy or light
Fractions from the liquid to be cleaned are each formed on the concave or convex surface of the ribs at an angle ss, which is selected in the range from 150 to 300 to the plate surface, surfaces 6 or 7.
If the angle is less than 15, a wedge-shaped channel is formed in which the precipitation settles. This channel takes up a considerable part of the channel formed between two adjacent ribs 4. In addition, this wedge-shaped channel is quickly covered by the sludge formed by the precipitation 8. If the angle is greater than 30, the deposited particles are poorly retained in the wedge channel.
The ratio of the distance n between the adjacent ribs 4 on the circumference of the smaller base of the plate to the length 1 of the generatrix of the body 3 is 0.1-0.3.
With a ratio n less than 0.1, there are insufficient dimensions for the channels between the adjacent ribs 4 for the passage of the liquid in the laminar flow state, and with a ratio greater than 0.3, the channels are on the contrary too large, so that the Flow may become turbulent.
A keyway 9 on the smaller base of the plate serves to hold the same in the package when assembled to the plate package.
The treatment of a liquid is as follows:
Two adjacent cone plates are shown in the drawings. The suspension is separated in the space between similar plates, which are assembled into a package in large numbers and rotate.
If a heavy fraction is separated from the liquid to be cleaned (suspension), the liquid flow is directed from the periphery of the plate to the center of the plate. The suspension enters the intermediate space between the gaps formed by the outer edge 1 of two adjacent plates and then moves through the channels which are delimited by two adjacent ribs 4. Depending on the movement of the suspension through the channel along the conical body 3, the particles, the specific weight of which is greater than the specific weight of the liquid, are displaced to the inside of the plate. 1 and 2 show the position A, which corresponds to the start of the separation, and the position B, which corresponds to the end of the excretion process.
A hydraulic force X, the vector of which coincides with the direction of movement of the suspension flow, and a centrifugal force F act on a deposited particle (layer B). Under the action of the two forces, the particle moves over the surface of the plate along the resultant of the components to the concave surface 6 of the rib 4 on a path b (FIG. 2) and changes from position B to position C.
The separation efficiency increases because separation of the streams of suspension and precipitation is achieved and a minimal contact area of the same is ensured.
Since the distance between two adjacent guide ribs 4 is small, even such particles are deposited on the surface 6 that are carried along by the flow of the clarified liquid in separators with the known design of the plates.
Since the surface 6 is inclined to the surface of the plate (Fig. 3) along the entire length of the ribs 4, a channel is formed where the velocities of the liquid flow decrease sharply with the decrease in the wedge height.
As a result, the hydraulic force X acting on the particle is small, and the centrifugal force has a normal component FN, which presses the particle against the rib, and a tangential component FT, which favors the ejection of the particle into the sludge collector to the side the channels through which the cleaned liquid is discharged is opposite. This prevents the particles from being discharged into the pure cavity and improves the conduction conditions of the precipitate 8 (the disperse phase).
If particles have to be separated from the suspension, the specific weight of which is smaller than the specific weight of the liquid, the liquid is directed from the center to the periphery of the plates, and the suspension passes through the gaps formed by the inner edges 2 of two adjacent plates Gap, with the inclined surface 7 on the convex side of the rib 4 (Fig. 4).
The separators with such a design of the conical disc retain particles of more than 1-3 micrometers and are able to be used instead of expensive fine cleaning filters, for example 5 ml filters, whose sludge capacity is considerably smaller than the capacity of the separators.
