PATENTANSPRÜCHE

5. bar according to claim 3, characterized in that the holding tabs (14) of the inner webs (12) or the hooks (16) of the hook webs (15) are arranged on both sides of the web end.
6. Strip according to claim 2, characterized in that the outer web (4) of the double web of the bottom-side holding means (10) forms one edge of the wall part (2).
7. Strip according to one of claims 1 to 5, characterized in that the cover part (3) has an edge web (18) whose height is greater than the height of the double webs (12, 13; 12, 4) and the wall thickness (19) of the wall part (2).
The invention relates to a two-part strip which has a wall part and a cover part fastened to it by holding means, which parts form cavities, including an edge cavity.
Two-part strips, e.g. Skirting boards which have a cavity for receiving lines are known in various designs. However, they have the disadvantage that the cover part has to be completely dismantled in order to insert or remove lines inserted in the cavity, since it consists of a dimensionally stable material.
The cover part cannot be reattached without installation instructions. If a line still has to be led out, the edge part of the cover strip must be cut open and thus damaged. If the lead-out has to be changed later, this means that the cover rail must be replaced. As a result, such cover profiles must be kept in stock because the same color is maintained. Cover profiles are also only available in bar form with standardized lengths, which makes seamless installation from wall to wall impossible. The assembly of such cover profiles is time-consuming and also unsatisfactory in appearance.
Skirting boards, which consist of two hard parts or rails, adapt poorly to the unevenness of walls and floors, and this creates unattractive and unsuitable joints when connecting to the wall and floor, which can absorb dirt and dust. Another disadvantage of the known strips is that the parts can only be used together, but not individually as a skirting board. This means that the two-part strip must also be installed in a room or in a building where lines never need to be included in the base strip and the entire strip only has to be used because of the uniformity in shape and color.
The invention is therefore based on the object of designing a two-part strip, avoiding the known disadvantages, in such a way that lines can be introduced and led out at any point without cutting in the edge web, with no need to take standardized lengths into account and also adaptation to unevenness from Walls and floors to avoid joints is possible.
According to the invention, this object is achieved in that the cover part is held on the wall part in a non-positive and positive manner by holding means and at least the part of the cover part covering the edge cavity is designed to be flexible in order to open the edge cavity.
This ensures that the cover strip no longer has to be cut out after installation and the cover profile is available in roll form.
The invention is shown in the drawing in one embodiment and described below. Show it:
1 is a vertical section through a baseboard mounted on a wall,
Fig. 2 shows the use of the cover part alone as a baseboard and
Fig. 3 shows the use of the wall part alone as a baseboard.
The bar 1 shown in FIG. 1 in the form of a baseboard has a wall part 2 and a cover part 3. The two parts 2, 3 form a closed cavity 5 and an easily accessible edge cavity 7.
The two parts 2, 3 are held together by holding means 10, 10 '. In the case of the wall part, these comprise two double webs with internal webs 12 and external webs 13, the webs 12, 13 having retaining tabs 14 which extend on both sides. The cover part 3 has hook webs 15 with hooks 16 which protrude between the double webs 12, 13 as holding means.
It is essential, however, that at least the part of the cover part 3 covering the edge cavity 7 is flexible, so that it can be bent back, see the dashed position I in FIG. 1, in order to make the edge cavity 7 accessible. It is also important that the force and form fit of the holding means 10 adjoining the edge cavity 7 is so great that it cannot be released when the cover part 3 is bent back.
However, it is expedient to produce the entire cover part 3 from a flexible and flexible material and to deliver it in rolls so that pieces of any length can be separated.
As can be seen from FIG. 1, the cover part 3 has an edge web 18 which forms the upper end of the skirting board. Since this consists of flexible and flexible material, it can adapt to any unevenness. In Fig. 1, these are unevenness of a wall 21, the strip 1 being struck against a floor 23 covered with a floor covering 22.
The fact that the cover 3 is flexible and
is flexible, it is also possible to expose the closed cavity 5 without the cover part 3 having to be completely dismantled. In this case, the holding means 10 adjacent to the edge cavity 7 must be separated, for which a greater force is required than only to bend back the part of the cover part 3 that covers the edge cavity 7 however, it must be so large that it cannot be released even when the closed cavity 5 is exposed, see position II in broken lines in FIG. 1.
The use of the flexible and flexible cover part 3 enables it to be guided around relatively sharp corners without the formation of bumps. Here, the wall part 2, which consists of a dimensionally stable material, can be interrupted at this point.
If no cables have to be laid in the strip, it is advisable to use only one of the parts 2, 3 for this.
In principle, both the wall part 2 and the cover part 3 can be used for this, see FIGS. 2 and 3. In both cases, it is expedient to arrange a core 17 and to attach this to the hook webs 15 of the cover part 3 or
to fix the inner webs 12 in a form-fitting manner.
The core 17 can be suitably e.g. as the wall part 2 in Fig. 1 with nails 20, are attached to the wall 21.
As can be seen from FIG. 1, the edge web 18 forms the end of the strip 1. This expediently has a height that is greater than the height of the double webs 12, 13 and the wall thickness 19 of the wall part 2. This ensures that the Edge web 18 instead of abuts and also covers bumps without joints.
The strip described is expediently made of plastic, e.g. PVC hard for the wall part 2 and PVC soft for the cover part 3.
