Description
Vorliegende Erfindung betrifft einen Wegwerf-Hygieneartikel. Wegwerf-Hygieneartikel sind z.B. Windeln, Monatsbinden und Einlagen. The present invention relates to a disposable hygiene article. Disposable hygiene articles are e.g. Diapers, sanitary napkins and pads.
It is already known to dispose of disposable hygiene articles, e.g. B. diapers, sanitary napkins and pads, with a surface layer of hydrophobic material. However, these known products have a rather poor fluid retention and rewetting ability. Improvements in the liquid penetration of such products are desirable, however, especially in order to leak out suddenly occurring liquid flows, e.g. of urine, menstrual fluid and the like. The hydrophobic layers of the known products consist of polyamide *, polypropylene and / or polyester nonwoven fibers, but they do not have the desired liquid penetration, so that it is desirable to improve the surface layer in this regard. US Pat. No. 3,814,101 attempts to solve the problem by using a hydrophobic surface layer which is provided with a series of slots which serve as valves. The hydrophobic top layer consists of a film-like material.
It is also known to use hydrophobic nonwovens in the manufacture of diapers, see e.g. See, for example, U.S. Patent 3,987,786 which provides for the use of a surface treatment agent in certain areas of the material being treated.
The aim of the present invention is to create disposable hygiene articles which do not show the above-mentioned shortcomings of the known hygiene articles.
This object is achieved according to the invention by a disposable hygiene article, which is characterized by an air-permeable, hydrophobic surface layer, which consists of a surface layer made of hydrophobic material, a larger amount of hydrophobic nonwoven fibers and 0.1 to 0.6% by weight of a surface treatment agent contains, with which the passage of liquid through the 'surface layer is facilitated, the surface layer having a maximum rewet factor of 10 and a penetration factor of at least 80.
The hydrophobic nonwoven material can consist of polyamide, polypropylene or polyester material, this surface layer lying on the absorbent pad, under which in turn lies a water-impermeable film material. The surface layer is suitably treated with a surface treatment agent, preferably a non-ionic substance, to thereby achieve faster liquid penetration while maintaining optimal behavior with respect to rewetting and liquid retention properties. For this purpose, preferably only delimited areas of the surface layer are coated, for example by spraying the central area of the surface layer, or by line or dot printing on certain areas of the surface layer.
The invention is explained in more detail below on the basis of the embodiments shown in the figures.
Fig. 1 shows a perspective view of a diaper, which is constructed according to the invention and details of the structure can be seen by partial opening.
Fig. 2 shows a vertical section taken along the line 2-2 in Fig. 1.
Fig. 3 shows a schematic longitudinal section through a diaper.
4a shows a partial top view of a disposable diaper, in which the surface treatment agent is printed in a line shape on the surface layer.
4b shows a partial top view of a diaper in which the surface treatment agent is printed on the surface in subdivided areas.
5 shows the top view of a preferred embodiment of the invention, in which the middle part of the surface layer is delimited with the surface treatment agent in delimited areas.
As an example of an embodiment of a disposable hygiene article according to the invention, a diaper 10 with a base film 12 made of water-impermeable plastic material (which can be embossed or pressed into a matt shape) is shown in FIG or several layers of cotton. The surface layer 16 is made of hydrophobic nonwoven, e.g. made of polypropylene, polyamide or polyester fibers. The individual components of the diaper 10 are assembled in a conventional manner. A conventional surface layer can be used; it can be spunbond, dry or wet laid and chemically or thermally bound.
According to the invention, the surface layer, as indicated by reference number 18, can be treated with 0.1 to 0.6% by weight of a surface treatment agent with which the hydrophobic properties of the material on the surface can be changed. The surface treatment agent is preferably nonionic and consists in particular of an ethoxylate

1) einem Alkohol mit 12 bis 20 C-Atomen (z. B. 5 bis 20 1) an alcohol with 12 to 20 carbon atoms (e.g. 5 to 20
Mole des Ethylenoxids) und Moles of ethylene oxide) and
2) einem C6- bis Ci0-Alkylphenol (z.B. 5 bis 30 Mole des 2) a C6 to Ci0 alkylphenol (e.g. 5 to 30 moles of
Ethylenoxids). Ethylene oxide).
A preferred nonionic product is "Triton X-5 100" (a condensate of 10 ethylene oxide units with octylphenol). As shown in FIG. 3, the surface treatment agent can be sprayed onto the surface layer 16 or printed onto the surface as shown by the reference number 20 such that only the central surface of the surface layer 16 is impregnated. Conventional dip painting or roller coating can also be used.
As shown in Fig. 4a, the surface treatment agent can be printed in a line, as at 22. 15 Alternatively, as shown in FIG. 4b at 24, the surface treatment agent can also be printed in the form of spots or dots in certain areas with subdivided spaces.
In a preferred embodiment shown in FIG. 5, the surface treatment agent is printed on each line at 26 at divided intervals,
Falls gewünscht, kann aber auch die gesamte Oberfläche voll behandelt werden. where the imprinted areas on each line are blank over those of the adjacent line, i.e. are staggered. As shown, the impregnation can be limited to the middle part of the surface layer. If desired, the entire surface can also be fully treated.
A further, particularly preferred embodiment consists in the fact that the cellular impregnation takes place in such a way that the lines 22 are not parallel to the sides of the diaper, as shown in FIG. B. are arranged at an angle of 30 to 60 ° to the diaper edge. In a further desirable embodiment, the lines in FIG. 4a are rotated by 90 °.
In use, the liquid penetration is increased at those locations of the hydrophobic nonwoven fabric that have been treated with the surface treatment agent. There is little change in the desired behavior of rewetting and fluid retention. In the preferred surface treatment, the surface treatment agent does not completely penetrate the film, but only serves to initially guide the liquid in such a way that it penetrates the hydrophobic nonwoven, the latter restricting rewetting in the further course.
The surface layers present in the disposable hygiene articles according to the invention have a penetration factor of at least 80 and a rewet factor of not more than 10. These factors indicate the percentage of fluid that passes through the film within the test time, or the percentage of fluid that is subject to rewetting in this test. 30 cm3 of liquid are used to perform the test. If all of the liquid passes through the film within the test time, the penetration factor is 100. If half of the liquid remains and is rolled off, the penetration factor is 50. If the 30 cm3 of liquid used is 15 cm3 on the inlet side due to rewetting, then this is the rewet factor 50. The higher the penetration factor and the lower the rewet factor, the more advantageous and desirable the product in question.
