Abstract

To provide for the waterproofing of the catch-closure watch case without increasing its thickness with respect to a similar non-waterproof case, and in order to facilitate the operation of encasing the movement, an encasing ring (10) composed of a collar (11) and a hoop (12) is provided. The collar (11) positions the movement sideways whilst the hoop (12) provides for its positioning in height. Such an encasing ring (10) makes it possible to fit the watch case with a driven-in or welded tube (2) and to insert a seal (7) in the back (6). <IMAGE>
