Abstract
The aim of the device for checking the leaktightness is to warn the driver of the vehicle in the case of a lack of leaktightness in the brake circuit. It comprises a cylinder (1) with a piston (2) which is freely mounted. The cylinder (1) is connected to the two symmetrical brake circuits which make it possible to compare the precisions of the two brake circuits. The result of this comparison is indicated in front of the driver by signalling lamps (10). <IMAGE>

REVENDICATIONS
1. Dispositif de contrôle de l'étanchéité du système de freinage à double circuit d'un véhicule à moteur avec information du résultat, caractérisé en ce qu'il comporte un cylindre possédant un piston monté librement, ce cylindre étant agencé pour être relié aux deux circuits de freinage symétriques pour que le liquide d'un circuit soit amené à un côté du piston, et le liquide du deuxième circuit à l'autre côté du piston.
2. Dispositif de contrôle selon la revendication 1, caractérisé en ce qu'il possède des moyens permettant de signaler la position du piston à l'intérieur du cylindre.
3. Dispositif de contrôle selon la revendication 1, caractérisé en ce que le cylindre contient des moyens pour faire sortir l'air contenu dans celui-ci.
La présente invention a pour objet un dispositif de contrôle de l'étanchéité du système de freinage à double circuit d'un véhicule à moteur avec information du résultat.
Les voitures contemporaines possèdent généralement un système de freinage à double circuit, elles possèdent également différents dispositifs et indicateurs supplémentaires:
- servo-frein;
- régulateur de pression de frein des roues arrières en fonction de la charge;
- lampe-témoin du niveau du liquide des freins;
- lampe-témoin d'usure des plaquettes des freins avant, mais on ne trouve aucune indication sur l'état d'étanchéité des circuits de freinage.
La présente invention a pour but de présenter un dispositif permettant le contrôle d'étanchéité des circuits de freinage à n'importe quel moment et d'informer le conducteur immédia tement du résultat.
Pour ce faire, le dispositif de contrôle objet de l'invention est tel que celui défini dans la revendication 1.
La figure unique représente schématiquement et à titre d'exemple non limitatif une forme d'exécution de l'objet de l'invention.
Puisque les pressions dans les deux circuits symétriques de freinage sont comparables, des forces identiques agissent sur le piston 2 des deux côtés; le piston 2 demeure au milieu du cylindre 1. Il en est ainsi quand les deux circuits de freinage sont étanches, c'est-à-dire dans un état de fonctionnement normal.
La fonction informative dans la forme d'exécution particulière de ce dispositif est assurée par le piston 2, la tige interrupteur 9, I'interrupteur 8 et le circuit éléctrique avec les lampes témoins 10, la serrure du contact 11 et l'accumulateur 12. Dans le cas d'absence d'étanchéité d'un des circuits, la pression diminuante permet le déplacement du piston 2.
Dans la forme d'exécution du système montré sur la fig.

- la lampe 10c de bon fonctionnement s'éteint;
- la lampe 10a ou 10b de mauvais fonctionnement s'allume.
Mais il est possible d'indiquer le déplacement du piston par d'autres amoyens;
- soit par interrupteurs intégés dans le cylindre;
- soit optiquement.

CLAIMS
1. A device for checking the tightness of the dual circuit braking system of a motor vehicle with information of the result, characterized in that it comprises a cylinder having a freely mounted piston, this cylinder being arranged to be connected to the two symmetrical braking circuits so that the liquid from one circuit is brought to one side of the piston, and the liquid from the second circuit to the other side of the piston.
2. Control device according to claim 1, characterized in that it has means for signaling the position of the piston inside the cylinder.
3. Control device according to claim 1, characterized in that the cylinder contains means for extracting the air contained therein.
The present invention relates to a device for checking the tightness of the dual circuit braking system of a motor vehicle with information of the result.
Contemporary cars generally have a dual circuit braking system, they also have various additional devices and indicators:
- servo brake;
- rear wheel brake pressure regulator depending on the load;
- brake fluid level warning lamp;
- warning lamp for wear of the front brake pads, but there is no indication of the state of tightness of the brake circuits.
The object of the present invention is to present a device enabling the brake circuits to be checked for leaks at any time and to inform the driver immediately of the result.
To do this, the control device which is the subject of the invention is such as that defined in claim 1.
The single figure shows schematically and by way of nonlimiting example an embodiment of the object of the invention.
Since the pressures in the two symmetrical braking circuits are comparable, identical forces act on the piston 2 on both sides; the piston 2 remains in the middle of the cylinder 1. This is so when the two braking circuits are sealed, that is to say in a normal operating state.
The informative function in the particular embodiment of this device is provided by the piston 2, the switch rod 9, the switch 8 and the electrical circuit with the indicator lamps 10, the contact lock 11 and the accumulator 12. In the event that one of the circuits is not sealed, the decreasing pressure allows the piston 2 to move.
In the embodiment of the system shown in fig.
only the displacement of the piston 2 causes the change of the control lamps 10;
- the good functioning lamp 10c goes out;
- the faulty lamp 10a or 10b lights up.
But it is possible to indicate the displacement of the piston by other means;
- either by switches integrated in the cylinder;
- either optically.
