Darin zeigen:
Fig. 1 eine Sicherheitskupplung teils im Axialschnitt und teils in axialer Ansicht im Kupplungszustand;

PATENT CLAIMS

Safety clutch with a first coupling part (1), which is arranged coaxially to a second coupling part (2-5), the two coupling parts being rotatably connected to one another by a switching ring (6, 10) loaded with an adjustable spring force, and the switching ring for the solution The rotary connection can be axially disengaged against the spring force in the event of an overload, characterized in that the switching ring (6, 10) has a cylindrical inner surface (12) which merges into an end surface section (22) formed by a rounding or bevel, which together defines an annular space (16) with a centering ring (11) coaxial with the switching ring, surrounded by the latter at a radial distance and with a pressure ring (14) located opposite and coaxial to these two rings (11, 12) and loaded by the spring,
which contains an annular row of balls (17) which, on the one hand, abut a flat end face (14 ') of the pressure ring (14) and, on the other hand, in the engaged state of the switching ring on its end face surface section (22) and on one end face, by a rounding or a Bevel formed, in the outer surface of the centering ring (11) merging surface section (21) and in the disengaged state of the switching ring (6, 10) on its cylindrical inner surface (12) and on the front surface section (21) of the centering ring are supported.
2. Safety coupling according to claim 1, characterized in that the end faces, each formed by a rounding on the switching ring (6, 10) and on the centering ring (11), surface sections (21, 22) have a radius of curvature which is smaller than the radius of the balls (17).
3. Safety clutch according to claim 1, characterized in that a coupling part (2-5) has two sections (2, 3) which are flexibly connected to one another by coupling members in order to absorb axle errors and impacts.
4. Safety coupling according to claim 3, characterized in that the coupling members have interlocking driving pins which are alternately attached to one section (2) and the other section (3), and that a round cord ring is arranged between these pins, which has a direct contact between prevented the cone.
The invention relates to a safety clutch with a first coupling part, which is arranged coaxially to a second coupling part, the two coupling parts being rotatably connected to one another by a switching ring loaded with an adjustable spring force and the switching ring being able to be axially disengaged to release the rotary connection in the event of an overload against the spring force .
The shear pin, which traverses a shaft journal and a shaft sleeve that is pushed coaxially onto it, has thus far been used as a protection against overload and thus keeps it rotationally connected. It is designed and dimensioned so that it is sheared off on the shaft if an overload occurs. Although it is reliable as an overload protection, shearing the pin often leads to the deformation of the bore holding the shear pin in the shaft journal and in the shaft sleeve and, moreover, the replacement of the sheared pin parts with a new shear pin is usually cumbersome and time-consuming. Instead of the shear pin, the friction clutch has already been used, but in the event of an overload, it does not actually cause decoupling but slip, which leads to rapid heating.
The object underlying the invention is then to avoid the disadvantages mentioned of the shear pin and the friction clutch and to create a safety device which brings about an immediate disconnection from the drive when the set overload occurs.
This object is achieved according to the present invention in that the switching ring has a cylindrical inner surface which merges into a surface section formed by a rounding or bevel, which together with a centering ring coaxial with the switching ring, surrounded by the latter at a radial distance, and a centering ring the two rings located opposite and coaxially to them, loaded by the spring-loaded pressure ring, defines an annular space which contains an annular row of balls which, on the one hand, rest on a flat end face of the pressure ring and, on the other hand, in the engaged state of the switching ring on its face-side surface section and on a face-side, formed by a rounding or a bevel,
are supported in the outer surface of the centering ring section and in the disengaged state of the switching ring on its cylindrical inner surface and on the front surface section of the centering ring.
Advantageously, the end face sections, each formed by a rounding on the switching ring and on the centering ring, have a radius of curvature that is smaller than the radius of the balls.
A coupling part can preferably have two sections which are flexibly connected to one another by coupling members in order to absorb axis errors and impacts.
The invention is explained in more detail using an exemplary embodiment with reference to the accompanying drawings.
In it show:
Figure 1 is a safety coupling partly in axial section and partly in an axial view in the coupling state.
Fig. 2 is a partial axial section of the disengaged safety clutch, and
Fig. 3-5 three different positions of interacting switching elements of the clutch.
In the illustrated safety coupling, the hollow shaft 1 normally represents the drive side and the coaxial outer ring 2 mounted thereon is the driven side. An output shaft (not shown) is preferably flanged to this outer ring 2 by means of the flange ring 3. Instead, the outer ring may just as well be provided with a toothed ring or another gear means on the driven side, or e.g. B. interact with electrical switching means or a brake.
In the outer ring 2, several axially parallel driver pins 4 are arranged asymmetrically on a concentric circle, each with its round head 5 on one end face of the outer ring 2 protruding against the end face of a driver ring 6 axially displaceable on the hollow shaft 1, which on this end face in with the pins 4 matching asymmetrical arrangement has several axially parallel bores 7 each with a rounded outer edge 8 for the engagement of the round heads 5 with. The driving ring 6 is rotationally connected to the hollow shaft 1 by a toothing 9 and carries a switching ring 10 which projects coaxially on its other, outer end face and which is screwed into the driving ring 6.
Within this switching ring 10 and at a radial distance from its cylindrical inner surface 12, there is loosely on the shaft 1 a centering ring 11 which axially abuts a shoulder 13 of the shaft 1.
Axially opposite the switching ring 10 and the centering ring 11, a pressure ring 14 is loosely pushed onto the shaft 1, which partially overlaps the switching ring 10 coaxially with a collar 15. In the through the switching ring 10, the centering ring 11th
and the pressure ring 14 enclosing the annular space 16 balls 17 of the same size are arranged in an annular row and are always in contact with all three rings, since the pressure ring 14 is exposed to the axial thrust against the balls 17 of a spring washer 18 located loosely on the shaft 1 is. This spring thrust is adjustable by means of a regulating nut 19 which is screwed onto the shaft 1 and presses on the spring washer pack 18 via an intermediate ring 20.
In the clutch engagement position according to FIG. 1, the round heads 5 each engage in the bore 7 assigned according to the asymmetrical arrangement. The switching ring 10 and the balls 17 are therefore in the position shown in FIG. 3, in which each ball 17 on the one hand touches the radial end face 14 'of the pressure ring 14 and on the other hand in the same axial section plane at one of these contact points by approximately plus 1350 or minus 1350 distant point of the ball meridian at the rounded outer edge 21 of the centering ring 11 and the rounded inner edge 22 of the switching ring 10.
If an overload that overcomes the thrust force of the spring washer pack 18 occurs on the output side, the driver ring 6 is no longer able to take the round heads 5 and thus the outer ring 2 and is rotated by the drive relative to the outer ring 2, which causes the round heads 5 to exit the bores 7 and thereby one axial displacement of the driving ring 6 in FIGS. 1, 3 and 4 acts to the left.
By the switching ring 10, the pressure ring 14 against the spring thrust is also displaced to the left via the balls 17 and the balls 17 themselves are displaced radially inwards up to the shaft 1, since the radial distance of the cylindrical inner surface 12 of the switching ring 10 corresponds to the ball diameter.
In this disengagement process, the inner surface 12 has come into contact with the balls 17, thereby preventing the balls from returning to the position shown in FIG. 3.
After eliminating the cause of the overload, the described safety clutch can be re-engaged by restoring the engagement between the round heads 5 and the bores 7 by relative rotation of the outer ring 2 and driving ring 6 and then engaging the latter axially with the cooperation of the thrust force of the spring assembly 18. 4 and 5 is shifted to the right and the spring-loaded pressure ring 14 displaces the balls 17 at the rounding 21 of the centering ring 11 radially outward until the position according to FIG. 3 is reached.
The roundings 21 and 22 advantageously have a radius of curvature which is smaller than the radius of the balls 17 and z. B. can be up to only 1/4 of the radius of the sphere. However, it is also possible to design the relevant end face of the centering ring 11 as a slightly outwardly inclined cone and that of the switching ring 10 as a slightly inwardly inclined cone instead of the roundings 21 and 22, but the functional results are not quite as good as those with the roundings 21 and 22.
While the position of the switch ring 10 according to FIG. 4 means that the disengaged clutch cannot be engaged solely by the thrust of the compressed spring assembly 18 due to the holding of the balls 17 by its cylindrical surface 12, this is the case with the position of the switch ring 10 according to FIG.
5 possible with a correspondingly preloaded spring assembly 18, since the switching ring 10 still touches the balls 17 with its rounding 22 somewhat to the side next to the radially outermost ball pole.
The safety coupling according to the invention can be constructed differently in details than the exemplary embodiment described above. Thus, to shorten the entire coupling, the pressure ring 14 can be used without the protruding edge 15. The corresponding function can also be performed by a part of the switching ring 10.
In addition, the described axially rigid coupling can be constructed so that it can compensate for certain axis errors. This can be achieved in that the flange ring 3 is separated from the outer ring 2, the rotational engagement of these parts being ensured by driver pins. In this case, a round cord ring can be tensioned around the mutually engaging driver pins arranged partly on the outer ring 2 and partly on the flange ring 3 with the same diameters. By preventing it from running in a wavy line around the individual pegs, this prevents direct contact between them. This enables the clutch to run smoothly even if there is a small angle between the input and output axes.
