Description
PATENTANSPROCHE

PATENT ADDRESS
1. Agent for the treatment of gum disease, characterized in that the agent consists of a gel into which anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial and blood circulation-promoting active ingredients are incorporated and which can be applied directly to the gums and massaged in there.
2. Composition according to claim 1, characterized in that it has the following composition.
1.00% by weight of allantoin
5.00% by weight pantothenyl alcohol
0.10 wt% hexetidine
0.01% by weight of cetylpyridinium chloride
87.69% by weight of distilled water
6.00% by weight of methyl cellulose
0.20% by weight peppermint oil
3. Means according to claims 1 and 2, characterized in that the active substance hexetidine is dissolved or undissolved in the gel.
The invention relates to an agent for the treatment of gum disease.
In the case of gum disease, the medicinal active ingredients must be brought to the gums in a targeted manner and only be fully effective there. At the same time, blood circulation to the gums must be promoted in order to enable rapid absorption of the active ingredient.
In diseases of the gums, such as paradentosis, stomatitis, gingivitis, active ingredients for rinsing and brushing are already being used. With these, however, an optimal effect is not guaranteed, since on the one hand no targeted application is achieved during spotting and on the other hand no best possible circulation is achieved with brushing.
The invention is therefore based on the object of eliminating these disadvantages and creating a means which enables the targeted use of the active ingredients and at the same time ensures increased blood flow to the gums and thus better absorption of the active ingredients.
The features of the invention created to achieve this object result from the speeches.
According to the invention, it is provided that the agent for the treatment of gum disease consists of a gel into which anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial and blood flow-promoting substances are incorporated and which can be applied directly to the gums and massaged in there.
The advantages achieved with the invention are, in particular, that the gel used for the massage of the gums can be used to achieve targeted treatment of gum diseases and better circulation in the gums, and that the patient himself can continue to perform the treatment.
According to one embodiment of the invention, the gel has the following composition, which can of course be modified within the scope of the invention:
1.00% by weight of allantoin
5.00% by weight pantothenyl alcohol
0.10 wt% hexetidine
0.01% by weight of cetylpyridinium chloride
87.69% by weight of distilled water
6.00% by weight of methyl cellulose
0.20% by weight peppermint G1
The gel composed in this way is prepared, for example, in such a way that the active ingredients, such as allantoin, pantothenyl alcohol, hexetidine and cetylpyridinium chloride, are dissolved in distilled water and then methyl cellulose is swelled in this solution so that the gel is formed.
This gel is then flavored with peppermint oil, for example.
