1. Ihre Kupplungsgeschwindigkeit ist grösser, was besonders bei den modernen Verarbeitungsverfahren ins Gewicht fällt (Dreibad-Verarbeitung);

As is known, exposed silver halide emulsion layers, which also contain color couplers, are developed with an aromatic developer substance containing primary amino groups to produce color photographic images
no. The oxidized developer then reacts with the color coupler to form an image dye, the amount of which is proportional to the amount of incident light.
In general, a multilayer photographic light-sensitive material is used which consists of a red-sensitive layer containing the cyan coupler, a green-sensitive layer containing the magenta coupler, and a blue-sensitive layer which in turn contains the yellow coupler. During the color development, the corresponding dyes with the colors cyan, purple and yellow are created.
Usually phenols or a-naphthols are used as cyan couplers, pyrazolones as magenta couplers and acylacetylamides as yellow couplers. The dyes formed after development are then indophenols, indamines or azomethines.
Conventional color couplers have an active methylene group, four equivalents of silver halides are required to convert them into the corresponding image dye; therefore such color couplers are called four-equivalent couplers. Color couplers are also known in which a hydrogen atom of the active methylene group is replaced by a group which can be split off during the coupling reaction. In this case, two equivalent silver halides are required to generate the corresponding image dye. Such color couplers are therefore referred to as two-equivalent couplers.
Two-equivalent couplers are distinguished from the four equivalent couplers by the following advantages:
1. Your clutch speed is higher, which is particularly important in modern processing methods (three-bath processing);
2. The amount of silver halide required for the formation of the same amount of dye is only half as large; this noticeably reduces the cost of manufacturing a photographic material.
3. The photosensitive layer can be kept thinner, which improves the sharpness and resolution of the color image obtained.
4. The sensitivity of the lower layers is increased due to the increased light transmission of the upper layers, which can be kept thinner.
In the yellow couplers, the following leaving groups in two-equivalent couplers have essentially been proposed to date: Halogen atoms, such as, for. These previously known Zw eiäquivalentkuppler tend either to pronounced fog, z. It was therefore an object of the present invention to provide a photographic material with an easily accessible two-equivalent clutch.

prepared, where G, X and R have the meaning given, advantageously in an inert organic solvent, for. B. acetonitrile, propionitrile or dimethyl sulfonamide and in
Presence of an acid binding agent.
Instead of the triazoles and tetrazoles, salts of these compounds, in particular alkadisalts, can also be used as starting materials with good results.
The triazole or the tetrazole corresponding azeniate ion can be prepared independently and then reacted with compounds of the formulas Cl-G or Br-G.
This azeniate ion, which is primarily derived from the triazole or
Tetrazole and the acid-binding agent is formed has the following formula, to which the corresponding mesomeric boundary structures can be assigned:
EMI6.2
Depending on the relative electron density on the individual N atoms of the ring, which in turn depends on the substituents R and D, the reaction with G-CI or
G-Br take place on one of these N atoms. This then creates the corresponding isomeric compounds. This behavior has been described for related reactions of triazoles in stranded wire (cf. J. Net. Chem. 12,855 [1975]; Bull.
Soc. Chim. France 1973,323; 1975, 647). (An exact assignment of the structure of the individual isomers is extremely complex even in simple cases, cf. the literature cited.) It has been shown that in the cases examined here this isomerism, if it occurs at all, has no influence has the intended usage properties. Therefore, a description in extensive of all possible isomeric forms is omitted. However, it goes without saying that each of the possible shapes is suitable for the desired application. As starting materials for the preparation of the compounds of formulas (1) to (18) according to the method given are, for.

The color couplers of the formulas (1) to (18) can be incorporated in a known manner into a gelatin or other silver halide emulsion containing binders. Corresponding possible uses are described, for example, in US Pat. Nos. 2,304,939,2,304,940.2,322,027.2,284,879.2801,170, 2,801,171.2,749,360 and 2,825,382.
Preparation Instructions Example 1? -Phenyltetrazolyl-? -PivaIoyl-2-chloro-5 - [? - 2,4-di-t-amylphen-oxy) butylamido3acetanilide
A mixture of 605 mg (1 mmol) of a-pivaloyl-a-chloro-2 chloro-5 + y # 2,4-di-t-amylphenoxy> butylamidiace-tanilide and 185 mg (1 mmol) of the potassium salt of 5-phenyltetrazole is heated to reflux in 20 ml of acetonitrile for 4 hours.
After cooling to 0 ° C., the potassium chloride which has separated out is filtered off and the acetonitrile is distilled off in vacuo. After drying in a high vacuum at room temperature for 1 hour, about 450 mg of the acetanilide of the composition given above are obtained from the melting point 76 ° C. to 79 ° C. It corresponds to the formula
