The invention relates to a base mattress made of a frame with flexible crossbars flexibly arranged therein.
Such beds are widespread, with the tendency to flexibly attach the individual slats to the longitudinal frame. In order to achieve a lying level that is adapted to the human anatomy, the way the slats are attached to the frame has been developed further and further. It was recognized that the crossbar had to turn out of the horizontal plane. It was overlooked that every major turn brought an approach to the fact that the slats stood upright and thus led to lying on the edge instead of the width of the slat. To prevent this. it was proposed to connect the slats using one or two belts. This at least prevented the crossbar from rotating completely by 90 "on its own axis.
The hard lying surface remained. It could not be compensated for by stronger upper mattresses. Unless the comfort of the bed with the different height of the bed becomes an illusion.
The aim of the invention is a balanced lying grate with individual adaptation to the human anatomy.
This is achieved with a sub-mattress mentioned at the beginning, in which, according to the invention, at least some of the slats are embedded in a practically inextensible wing and the ends of the slats are movably supported on the frame.
The inextensible, that is, inelastic, wing preferably consists of a woven or other flexible sheet into which the slats are sewn at uniform or non-uniform intervals. If a crossbar is now subjected to a higher load, part of the additional load is transferred to the secondary crossbar via the wing. At the same time, the wing also controls the adjustment movement of each crossbar and aligns itself with the position of the secondary crossbar. It is therefore necessary that the slats themselves can move both vertically and horizontally and also be able to twist by a slight angle. But this is always controlled by the wing in which they are embedded relatively rigidly.
For horizontal dodging, this possibility of movement can be achieved, for example, in that the ends of the slats lie in a longitudinal groove of the longitudinal spar of the frame, the groove itself being able to be designed to be elastic or to be made of elastic material. The dodging of the slats in the vertical can be achieved in that the groove itself z. B. rests on an elastic base such as a rubber tube. Vertical deflection of only the edge of a slat already results in the slat twisting about its axis. However, all of these movements are relatively minor, because no large height differences are to be achieved. The slats can be stored in terms of area and not selectively.
The totality of battens and wing results in the correct setting for all load cases and all load weights, so that no individual adjustment is required. For heavier people, the slats can be closer together in the central zone than in the peripheral zone.
Another essential advantage of the arrangement according to the invention is that a continuous load-bearing surface is obtained. The slats represent reinforcements.
The top mattress no longer lies alone on individual slats, but also over its entire width and length. The closed lying surface guarantees a balanced permanent elasticity and also forms a downward insulation. The lying surface covered with fabric can replace the so-called mattress protector otherwise placed on the Lättli.
In the drawing, an embodiment of the invention is shown. Show it:
Fig. 1 is an axonometric longitudinal sectional view through a bottom mattress and
Fig. 2 on a larger scale a cross section through the storage of the slats on the longitudinal spar of the frame.
1 with the longitudinal spar and 10 with the transverse spar of the frame of the base mattress is designated. In the cavities 60 of the wing 6 made of fabric, an elastic spring bar 7 is inserted, the end 70 of which extends beyond the wing 6. The wing 6 can be attached to the cross bars 10. A profile 9, which consists of elastic material and has a longitudinal groove 90 and a hose 99 underneath it, is arranged on the side of the longitudinal spar 1.
This profile is based on the fixed bar 8.
The end 70 of the crossbar 7 engages in the longitudinal groove. If the mattress is now loaded, the slats primarily absorb the forces. On the one hand, the slat stretches slightly and, on the other hand, the tube is slightly compressed under the slat. When there is a higher load, the fabric 6 is pulled so that the secondary batten carries part of the load and may move a little closer to the first batten, with a slight twisting of the batten being added. This is easily possible since the groove 90 itself is also elastic. Even with extreme lateral loads
Under mattress. e.g. B. when sitting on the edge of the mattress, the load is distributed over a large part of the mattress.
A variant of the wing can be made from a network of relatively wide straps, e.g. B. according to the width of the slats, exist. Cross straps can be arranged parallel to and next to the slats, while the longitudinal straps extend from one cross spar to the other. They alternately cross the cross belts and the slats above and below.
