Abstract

Clock timer for generating time signals which control the recording of time-dependent measured values together with time information on a recording unit (17), having an electronic memory (18) for storing the time signals during an interruption of the connection to the recording unit (17), in particular in the event of a voltage drop. An electronic pulse generator (4) is connected to a time signal generator (5) which can be connected as a function of the output signal of a detector (20) via changeover means (19) either directly to a clock timer output (14) or to the electronic memory (18), which is connected on the output side to the clock timer output (14). After restoration of the connection to the recording unit (17) following an interruption, the detector (20) causes the output of the stored time signals at a clock frequency situated substantially above the frequency of the time signals. In this case, there is the risk, in particular if the interruption of the connection to the recording unit (17) extends over a multiplicity of time signals, that individual time signals will be lost. According to the invention, this risk is countered when the clock pulse for clearing the electronic memory (18) is derived from the output of the electronic pulse generator (4) and the output signal of the electronic pulse generator (4) is inverted to derive the memory-clearing clock pulse and differentiated in such a way that the clock pulses for clearing the memory (17) occur delayed by the width of the pulses of the pulse generator (4) with respect to the pulses of the pulse generator (4) and thus with respect to the time pulses of the time pulse generator (10). <IMAGE>
