Abstract

The box has at least two faces provided with conjugate, hollow and protruding, profiles allowing assembly by the sliding engagement of the conjugate profiles parallel to the faces of the boxes. The conjugate profiles (4, 5, 13) are formed over two fractions of at least one straight segment of length equal to that dimension of the faces which is measured in the direction of assembly, these fractions being relatively short with respect to the length of the straight segment and located at the ends of the segment. The engagement travel is short and insensitive to skewing. The assembly can be clamped. Some of the hollow profiles can be preceded by a groove for the preparatory engagement and guidance of the protruding profiles of another box to be assembled. <IMAGE>
